Demo for NBA 2K9 MIA

The NBA 2K9 demo was not added to the Xbox Live Marketplace this morning. That means it is unlikely that it will be out prior to release of the game next Tuesday as XBL is generally updated with demos on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is possible that it will be up on PSN this afternoon (approx 3PT) however the prospects of that have taken a hit due to this development.

The release of the demo has been teased on the 2K forum for over a week now but has not materialized. While NHL 2K9 did see its demo out before release of the game other recent 2K games such as MLB 2K8 and Prizefighter have not. With those games it was evident that the demo was held off due to issues with the games and lack of confidence in them. That wouldn’t seem to be the the reasoning here as most are going to find NBA 2K9 to live up to their expectations. It is curious though that both competing NBA titles got their demos out 2+ weeks in advance of release but 2K didn’t seem to find it necessary to do so.

On the positive end of things I’ll be sitting in on a producer conference call tomorrow and should have a recap of it come Friday evening.

Take the EA blind folds off buddy & get your eyes checked! 2K hasn’t upgraded graphics? Really? Live has good gameplay? Really? Even if all 2K did was update rosters this year they would still be years ahead of Live. Live 09 isn’t even better than 2K7 let alone 2K9. Hell, NBA 09 is more polished than Live 09.

To be honest with you guys The only reason I will get both games is because lives updates and fiba. Cant wait to play all those USA abusers online and start killin’em with spain or argentina.

Pasta, did you get any vids w/my camera angle yet? Also, I’ve been playing 2k for years and I was able to change my view to “2k” (up – down) for online b/c “broadcast” was the default angle and hated it. Can Live do this too or will I have to use the default camera (left – right)???

Its not in Live. 2k has multiple pa announcers including the Heat PA.

The said the servers got messed up..so they are still trying to get it out but the wanted it to come out on ps3 and 360 at the same time and that was the problem…If u watch the new trailer on 2ksports.com..you wont give a fukk about the demo anymore….Memphis Grizzlies all day…bandyfam3..only add me if you got rank online though…no scrubs..

yes download nba 09. Crap graphics, but great shot system. If there is gameplay sliders and good ai, could be a decent game. But it is definately a work in progress. Terrible announcers. The game reminds me of the old nba shootout games sony used to make. I think it could be as good as last years live. Definately flawed, but fun multiplayer. Give it a try. I am sure it is the most improved of the 3.
