NBA 2K9 Screens and Highlights

Previously I went through both community websites being presented by 2K and EA. Both offer features that can extend the enjoyment of their respective titles. Having Live over the last week I was able to get up a handful of highlight clips and a bunch of screenshots. The screens were great quality and the highlights had some excellent improvements and turned out really well.

Now comes an opportunity to look at the 2K community site. I’ve included a couple screens I’ve taken, a Deron Williams highlight I put together, and few of the most popular clips uploaded thus far. I’ll be working on doing some more but wanted to get an initial look at them up now.

Clearly the screenshot quality is not as good as Live’s and it is much more of a painstaking process to grab them. They come out somewhat dark and hazy and the red lock circle remains in them. The highlights however have more options for editing though it takes some time to get comfortable with the Reelmaker. Once you are there is a lot of potential to create some great highlights. The biggest thing that detracts from them is the lack of any sound.

Ahhh i cant wait to play this game i need some moolah like at least 5 mo bucks, but aye this game is so prickin fly i wanna play the 5-5 online thing really though thats go be fly and it seems that might open up for more sports games to do like football,football will be really cool though if no player backs out

I’ve gotten ooped on by the CPU. Maybe because I haven’t played enough yet but I thought that was cool because I wasn’t anticipating them doing it.

you can do 5 v 5 on NBA 2k9 aswell? is it just like LIVE 09? Because Nba Live 09 team play is Sweet with a capital S.

im not even really a fan on basketball or nba games but this looks really good and a lot better than from wat iv seen from live

2K9 has 5 on 5 as well but it isn’t as fleshed out a mode. No clubs for example and ranked games you get placed on a random team and position. It also seems to be dealing with major lag so far.

I’m sure it’ll be a fun mode if/when the lag is cleared up but it isn’t up to Live’s level which is to be expected since they pretty much had a year head start.

My best game so far was with Jordan Farmar of LA I had 31 Points 17 Assists.

i’m a blazers fan so naturally i hate kobe, but that highlight reel was pretty sweet, especially when he did the mj switch hands thing (although mj’s was between two defenders)

I think there are to many 3′s by the cpu though, also the cpu doesn’t miss as often as I think they should but that could be me learning how to adjust to how the game plays on D. There is a lot to learn with this years game with tons of moves.

Pasta, all due respect man but you know you rendered those pictures to make them look dark. Wow Pasta your biased towards EA really shows whenever you post 2K info. I get the impression that it pains you to even post info about 2K but you do it anyway to keep your credibility. Pasta you can’t be serious man..Making the pictures look dark & hazy on purpose? Wow
