Cowboys About To Experience Massive Changes

It has been an interesting couple days for the Dallas Cowboys with many of the affects of which about to be seen in Madden 09. Whether each of these situations will be reflected in roster update #8 (which will probably be out by Saturday morning) is still unknown. They are impactful enough that hopefully they did make the cut for this week’s update.

Tony Romo: Out for 4-5 weeks with a broken pinky finger on his throwing hand. This forces the old and immobile Brad Johnson to take over at QB with Brooks Bollinger as the backup. Obviously this is a tremendous downgrade for the Cowboys in Madden.

Pacman Jones: Suspended for “at least” four games, though all indications are that it is likely to go longer. He was a valuable asset in Madden due to his speed, but everyone knew it was only a matter of time until he got in trouble again and lost the right to play in the NFL.

Mat McBriar: Heading to the IR with a foot injury that occurred on the blocked punt that won the Cardinals the game on Sunday. Not a big deal for Madden since a punter is a punter.

Terrance Newman: Is out 4-6 weeks recovering from sports hernia surgery.

Numerous other injuries plague Cowboy players including Felix Jones and Roy Williams (safety). The offensive line may see some ratings downgrades after struggling the last couple weeks as well.

Roy Williams: The big gain of the week for the team comes from the acquisition of WR Roy Williams from the Lions. The Cowboys gave up valuable first, third, and sixth round picks but in terms of Madden it will be extremely difficult for defenses to deal with covering a trio of Williams, Terrell Owens, and Jason Witten.

They might as well kick Pacman out of the league for good. Some people never get it. It amazes me how dumb some of these pro athletes are. You have a privledged opportunity to make millions of dollars playing a game & you can’t even stay out of trouble? Wow! Man if I was Pacman, I would stay in the house all day for about 3-5years, make millions of dollars & then go do all that crazy stuff he likes to do. They even had people on guard watching Pacman 24/7 & that stlll didn’t work. I’m tired of hearing about Pacman. Please do us all a favor & ban him from the league for good.

if romo’s ratimgs are dropped at all because of injury it shows a bias against dallas, because brady who can’t even walk has completely uneffected atributes & he is on IR. they should remove packan because jerry jones all but said he was no longer on the team. the pacman deal is no great loss since dallas got back they’re pick from tennessee because of the suspension.

Man Sdot I have to disagree with you. It doesn’t matter what the reason was. He was put on a ZERO tolerence warning. He has to know that even if someone tested him that he would be blaimed for it & he has a lot to lose. He has a target on him but he put himself in this situation. He doesn’t have room for error. If he had any sense what so ever then he wouldn’t put himself in a situation to get in trouble. How hard is it to stay at home, invite a couple girls over & chill. Pacman has serious issues & I understand that everybody is different & from different backgrounds but I’m sorry if your getting paid millions of dollars to play football & you still can’t stay out of trouble then that makes you an idiot. You shouldn’t make excuses for him.

He may say all the right things but deep down inside T.O. is selfish & he’s all about himself. He tears a team apart when things don’t go his way & this is why the Cowboys won’t win a Superbowl. Pac had the potential to get back to form and show why he was the 1st corner taken back in 05, but man, he can’t shake it off. Roy was just itchin to go back to Texas. With that O-line and the way Romo slings it into coverage, he’ll get 40 rec 500 yds and 6 td’s as a cowboy this year granted everyone stays healthy. There’s no way you can cover all those weapons. Just like everyone playin with the Pats last year, the Cowboy wagon is overloaded

I suspect the answer is “no”, but is there any way to add active teams in my Madden Franchise already in progress? It would be nice to make the Roy Williams move (although it doesn’t directly effect me, I’m the Bills), but as it stands now I can’t do it without restarting my franchise.

T.O says a lot of stupid things but no one will disagree that he is the hardest working player whenever he steps on the field. the guy just wants to win and when he doesn’t he speaks before he thinks. he says exactly what anybody that is anygood thinks when they lose, ” if I was more involved we would have one” the problem with him is he speaks his mind. if the cowboys are winning and roy williams is the leading receiver you won’t hear a word out of him, he just wants to win. I was very skeptical when he came to dallas but now I see they guy has heart & will do what it takes to win, where as when dallas signed pacman I was worried I wasn’t sure if the talent out weighed the guys problems but with the deal that was struk the cowboys where in a win win situation they lose nothing if pacman gets into trouble.
