Entering week nine of the regular season and EA is preparing to push out the tenth roster update for Madden 09 tomorrow. The consistency they’ve provided with these updates has been a great development. While a game such as NBA Live has the 365 feature updating automatically and on a daily basis, for Madden most people would be content with the weekly updates that are now being provided. From here it is just a matter of them improving on what the updates cover as far as who should change and by how many ratings points.
Continue on to view all of the transactions, ratings changes, injuries, and contract extensions.
Update: The roster has hit a technical snag and won’t be out until early next week.

Ratings up
CB Jabari Greer – Bills – 84 to 85 – Has played well and played extensively last week with McGee struggling.
HB Fred Jackson – Bills – 80 to 81 – Continues to catch passes, return kickoffs and even lead block on TD runs for Lynch.
S Bryan Scott – Bills – 72 to 77 – Has been in heavy rotation the past couple weeks for the Bills.
C Duke Preston – Bills – 76 to 77 – Has filled in for Melvin Fowler at Center for the Bills.
DT Shaun Rogers – Browns – 94 to 95 – Played a dominate game vs. the Jaguars. Racked up 9 tackles and a sack a stretch of sheer dominance when he stopped MJD at the line then blocked a kick and recovered it.
LB D’Qwell Jackson – Browns – 85 to 86 – The leading tackler for the Browns by 30 tackles with 66 on the year.
LT Donald Penn – Bucs – 82 to 84 – Did a very solid job blocking vs. DeMarcus Ware and the Cowboys.
WR Steve Breaston – Cardinals – 82 to 83 – Continued to develop and looks more and more like a #2 receiver at the very least.
CB Orlando Scandrick – Cowboys – 75 to 76 – Playing well with Mike Jenkins as the Cowboys battle injuries in the secondary.
CB Andre Goodman – Dolphins – 72 to 74 – Has been elevated to the starting lineup with a season ending injury to Michael Lehan. Made a couple plays vs. the Bills in week 8.
LB Joey Porter – Dolphins – 90 to 92 – Now leads the NFL in sacks after two more vs. the Bills. Blew past pro bowl LT Jason Peters to the inside on one of them.
WR Roddy White – Falcons – 90 to 92 – Is a certifiable monster at WR. Battled tight coverage from Asante Samuel all day on his way to two scores.
WR Matt Jones – Jaguars – 80 to 81 – Continues to lead the Jags in catches and yards. With a potential suspension looming, has 38 catches and 455 yards.
CB Chris Gamble – Panthers – 89 to 90 – 3rd on the team in tackles with 48 tackles and has 11 passes defended.
CB Ken Lucas – Panthers – 88 to 89 –Lucas has 2 INT’s and 9 passes defended on the season.
DE Chris Long – Rams – 84 to 86 – The bright spot on defense for the Rams. Starting to really come on the past several weeks.
QB Joe Flacco – Ravens – 77 to 79 – Has a bad TD to INT ratio but is completing 62% of his passes with a less than stellar group at the skill positions.
QB Jason Campbell – Redskins – 87 to 88 – Whether or not you think he is a good Quarterback or not; there is something to be said about not turning over the ball. Campbell still has 0 INT’s while some QB’s are in double digits.
WR Santana Moss- Redskins – 87 to 88 – Has had some explosive games this season, also some terrible dropped passes.
TE Billy Miller – Saints – 74 to 76 – Has picked up the extra receptions Shockey and Colston left on the field when they were injured.
RT Ray Willis – Seahawks – 72 to 78 – Has played at both tackle spots due to injuries. Has played better than the starting RT that was given an extension over the offseason.
DE Aaron Smith – Steelers – 94 to 95 – His health coincides the Steelers defensive rank. When he is in there they are #1 the past two seasons; when he is not they are above average.
S Troy Polamalu – Steelers – 97 to 98 – The best safety so far this season. Looking extremely active in coverage.
S Michael Griffin – Titans – 89 to 90 – Not suffering a sophomore slump like some of the big name second year safeties.
K Rob Bironas – Titans – 91 to 94 – 13/14 on the year in field goals after a solid season last year kicking.
Ratings Down
DE Mark Anderson – Bears – 84 to 82 – Had a great rookie season. Has done next to nothing in year 3.
S Marlon McCree – Broncos – 79 to 74 – Benched recently on one of the worst secondary’s in football.
CB Karl Paymah – Broncos – 79 to 77 – Not getting much help from the defensive line via rushing the passer or stopping the run, but still not working out as the nickel.
CB Terrence McGee – Bills – 93 to 92 – Had a rough game to say the least in his first game starting back from injury. Was a liability against Ted Ginn and Greg Camarillo.
LB Willie McGinest – Browns – 84 to 81 – A heady player who can’t get it done anymore. Last year in Cleveland or any team for that matter most likely.
DE Jacques Cesaire – Chargers – 83 to 81 – Had a good season last year rushing the passer, this year not as much.
DE Igor Olshansky – Chargers – 83 to 82 – The Chargers have already admitted he won’t be back. Not very productive in his career.
WR Marvin Harrison – Colts – 96 to 95 – Appears to have lost a step the past few weeks. Not really able to get open against a good Titans secondary or against only average DB’s in Green Bay.
QB Brad Johnson – Cowboys – 78 to 77 – Appears to no longer possess an NFL caliber arm. Bad Johnson seems appropriate.
CB Anthony Henry – Cowboys – 87 to 86 – Looks to be one of those corners QB’s find at the line of scrimmage. Doesn’t have the ability to play corner anymore. The Cowboys need to get healthy so they can put him at safety.
QB J.T. O’Sullivan – 49ers – 78 to 77 – Has now been benched after a wild ride of INT’s, poor blocking, dropped passes and fumbles. Shaun Hill might not be the answer, but he gets rid of the ball unlike Sullivan.
WR Bryant Johnson – 49ers – 82 to 79 – Has been demoted after the 49ers signed him from the Cardinals in free agency. No complaints from the Cardinals I bet.
WR Arnaz Battle – 49ers – 82 to 80 – Your basic run of the mill NFL slot receiver that should be replaced.
C Brad Meester – Jaguars – 93 to 92 – First game back from injury – meet Shaun Rogers. Rogers had a banner day vs. Meester and the rest of the Jags interior line.
WR Jerry Porter – Jaguars – 84 to 83 – Continues to be a non-factor on the Jaguars.
WR Troy Williamson – Jaguars – 78 to 75 – Has 3 catches for 17 yards on the year. Just a guy blessed with speed playing WR.
LB Vernon Gholston – Jets – 80 to 79 – A little slow to make the transition from end to OLB. Currently has 6 tackles and doesn’t seem close to cracking the starting lineup anytime soon.
FS Dwight Smith – Lions – 86 to 84 – Is injured now but when he was in there QB’s were still putting up record numbers.
G Edwin Mulitalo – Lions – 79 to 75 – Has now been finally benched for Damion Cook.
LB Ernie Sims – Lions – 94 to 93 – Not the star most people were expecting currently. Still gets a lot of tackles but that’s gonna happen when your down by 21 in the 4th quarter.
LB Will Witherspoon – Rams – 92 to 91 – Having an off year in the middle for the Rams. Definitely possesses the body of an OLB.
DT Adam Carriker – Rams – 89 to 86 – Has not played up to his potential from his rookie year and is in somewhat of a sophomore slump.
RT Alex Barron – Rams – 85 to 83 – Whiffs attempting to pass block too often.
DT Sedric Ellis – Saints – 84 to 80 – Just got back from injury but has not looked like the monster he did at USC.
RT Sean Locklear – Seahawks – 86 to 84 – On the verge of being replaced at RT.
LG Chris Kemoeatu – Steelers – 81 to 79 – A mauler in the run game who doesn’t fare as well in the pass blocking game.
RT Willie Colon – Steelers – 80 to 79 – Not starting quality caliber in the NFL.
WR Limas Sweed – Steelers – 79 to 77 – Not doing a whole lot with most of the rookie WR class.
Injuries
LB John DiGiorgio – Bills – IR
QB Damon Huard – Chiefs – IR
CB Michael Lehan – Dolphins – IR
HB Jesse Chatman – Jets – IR
Contracts
K John Kasay – Panthers – 5 years (total)
dude the pats run shit were missing like 5 of our best players and were 5-2 just cuz this kid dosnt kno shit aobut football that dosnt mean we all think the team should be a 99
right we need more respect. it seems these guys focus on the cowboys too much.
go pats
November 2, 2008 at 9:48 pm
im not hating against the pats but the AFC is incredibly weak this year.
no team has more than 5 wins other than titans
the saints and cowboys are in last place in their respective divisions and have a better record than the divising leading broncos
the steelers, the AFC’s claim of the best team has been beat by all NFC east teams so far and i personally think if the chargrers can shore up their D then they have the best chance of makin the super bowl(quietly rivers is playin great and LT and gates seem healthy again tho its a BIG IF and the broncs are chokin away that division)
i really hope the AFC can improve b/c i love 2 watch most of their teams but srsly the balance of power has shifted

are you on crack, your an average team in the average afc where the only team with more than 5 wins is the undefeated titans lol
and you just got beat by the colts , you have a smart coach and defense but not a talented team nothing other than draws on offense and short passes, you try to emulate the titans and ravens philosophy but you dont have the D to the level of those teams to get you bye against top teams
if the pats were playing the middle of the pack to elite nfc teams their record would be far different b/c the afc is real disappointing this yr
dude how could titus adams rating go up and hes on the practice squad.most of those ratings are unrealistic. oh and im a patriots fan. what ever happen to authenticity. instead of having to add practice squad players to fill the roster. ea should take alook at how 2k9 nba formats there and ratings.
November 2, 2008 at 11:23 pm
campbell being an 88 is laughable, except i cant because santana is rated so low for a top 5 wideout it makes me cry like T.O. at a press conference, mike green could use a minute (+1 or 2) upgrade as he started and preformed well in relief of the defensive rookie of the year (horton) and ive seen every snap this year and santana has 3 drops plus one that was a forceout, i think EA is thinking of randel el with the horrible drops (leads team) landry should get a boost just to AWR 65 really? hes all over the field and has a few pass deflections, springs needs to be a 92 speed, ditto for rogers, leigh torrence needs to go down overall, great speed horrible coverage skills, and good god can i get an o line upgrade? now that im done with the home team lets rip other teams:
bills- trent edwards -2 marshawn lynch -5 to -7
fins-porter to mid 90s, pennington +1
pats- faulk +2 mayo +2
jets- leon washington +2
steelers- big ben -1 moore -1
ravens- good so far id say +1 to suggs but hes already amazing
browns- -1 whole team
bengals- they already suck though i could understand a downgrade
giants tuck +1burress -2, had horrible drops steve smith +2, the antiplax
cowboys, -1 whole team -5 brad johnson -12 brooks bollinger -5 barber, -1000000 jerry jones
eagles maybe +1 westbrook, should be 98
chargers, -2 whole team, glad to see the veteran coaching paying off
raiders see browns
chiefs late game collapse proves a next year mentality, rated fine now
seatle- mangled much? -1 totupa -2 patrick kerney
arizona, who knew, kurt warner +2, breaston +1
rams- fine, right where they should be
niners, i love ya mike but -2 to the corners, eli tore them apart like a priest on an alterboy
when campbell breaks the no ints per attempt record can he please be the 90-92 he so rightfully deserves, santana also

Because I’m bored, Ill respond to this crap
Jerod mayo- he’s been playing well but he’s not an 88 yet
Guyton- just no
Merriweather- 87 is perfect for him
Thomas- he can be an 80 maybe.
Woods- No
Smith- don’t care.
Seymour- Are you serious he has 2 sacks I think. If anything he should get downgraded.
levoir-no
Wheatley- he’s been okay
O’connell- can’t judge him based on preseason
Wilhite-no
Sanders-no
Bruschi- he’s old, not that good anymore
A thomas- 95 is great. stop whining
November 3, 2008 at 7:21 am
I’ll stop there the rest are even dumber.
November 3, 2008 at 7:27 am
Giants that need to go up/down
Manning 93 to 91
Ward-82 to 85
Bradshaw- 82 to 84
Hedgecock-88 to 89
Plaxico- 96 to 94
Smith- 84 to 85
Whole o-line +1
cofield 87 to 88
tuck 94 to 95
that’s all I can think of
November 3, 2008 at 9:30 am
If your goign to leave Santana Moss at 88 becuase opf drops What about Baraylon Edwards, he leads th lg in drops and is 90+. Moss is outperforming Edawards. Even bill Cowher said Moss was the 6th best receiver in the league.Portis should be a 96 becuase he looks faster than last year. Campbell is ok at 88 but I think they should give Jansen and Sellers some love.
November 3, 2008 at 11:09 am
I was wondering after the last two outings for the Chiefs, if Tyler Thigpen can get a little love. Hes got an arm and a good pair of legs to go with it. 3 passing TDs and 1 Recieving and 0 interceptions and also a 64% completion rating and 110 and a 89 on passer rating . Also what about sharing some love with Jamal Charles too. that guy just showed why is called the Texas Comet. im not asking for a lot, just a little love on some better ratings.
November 3, 2008 at 11:46 am
Give some love for the Falcons…
Matt Ryan should at least be an 86-87. He is continuuing his Rookie of the Year campaign with a 17/22 game with 220 yards, 2TDs, and no picks with a 138% QB rating.
Turner is 3rd in the league in rushing and just had 139 yards yesterday. Should be a 91-92.
Roddy White needs to go up to 93-94. 4th in the league in receiving yards.
Michael Jenkins with 2TDs yesterday, he’s faster than an 88 speed, he ran 4.4 at his combine.
John Abraham with 3 sacks yesterday and has 10 for the season, 2nd in the league, he needs to be a 96.
Curtis Lofton who is the leading tackler on the team and will be DROY should be at least an 84-85. Much Better than any other rookie LB, including Mayo.
Eric Coleman with another pick yesterday, how’s he in the 70s???
Foxworth and Chris Houston played lights out at CB, give them a rating in the 80s at least.
November 3, 2008 at 12:20 pm
to be honest, if these ratings would be realistic most of these players wouldnt be rated as high.
November 3, 2008 at 12:22 pm
jabari greer should be a 87 aftrer shittin on cotchtry coles
November 3, 2008 at 1:28 pm

I find it funny how the Bills fans finally shut up!!! Trent Edwards is not amazing and does not need to get updated to the upper 80’s… You guys lost to the jets and he threw 2 pics
Seneca wallaces throing power need to go up to a 91.

why is nate clements rating is only 92 when he is the best corner in the nfl right now even with the 49ers struggling you compare to all the corners right now he has cover them pretty dam good .look at what he did in the giants game he pretty much lockdown burres who had you seen this year or in the past that could cover plaxico burres like he did. no one.he should be rating 95 or 96 give credit when is do.dont put him down just cause his team is not doing pretty good right now.he is better than sante samuels an mathis an woodsoon an newman…. respect lockdown nate clements….

I’m just going to put down my opinions on the NFL right now, first of all I would like to say I am a die hard fan of the Miami Dolphins, and yes, they are awesome. I would now like to say “FUCK YOU” to all you Patriots fans, Bills fans, and Jets fans, only because it is of my nature to hate you, and of yours to hate me, perhaps one day we will get along, but until then, it’s war mother fuckers.
Now, to all you Patriots fans who think the Patriots are under rated in Madden, go suck a dick. First of all, look at Wes Welker, a 90 something, Bull fuckin shit, he was a 70 something, maybe a low 80 on the Dolphins, then he gets traded, wears a blue jersey with a gray helmet and all the sudden he’s the best damn reciever in madden, don’t bull shit me, he’s still the same little bastard he was on the dolphins, just has a better quarterback. If Welkers that good in madden, I don’t see why our good friends from EA Sports don’t just make everybody on the Patriots a 100 overall rating, they are perfect right, bull shit, the Dolphins whooped their asses.
Next I would like to address all you pieces of shit that like to call yourselves Jets fans, J-E-T-S! SUCK! SUCK! SUCK! The only thing you guys got going for you is Brett Favre, who has been a little inconsistent, I’m sure you guys would love Chad Pennington back, now wouldn’t you? Well fuck off! The Jets will always be second to the Giants, and football in New York will always be second to the Yankees, I hate New Yorkers, especially the ones here in sunny south Florida. If New York is so great, why don’t you mother fuckers just go back, cause nobody in Florida likes you, no matter how much they pretend to.
This brings me to my next point, the Buffalo Bills, another New York Football team. I must say though, it was a smart decision not naming the team after New York, I don’t hate them half as much as I do the Jets because of that. Now lets get serious, You guys started off very strong, 3-0, 4-0, I don’t know, and I don’t care. Your fucking team came close to losing to some pretty shitty teams though, such as the Raiders and the Rams, They lost recently to the Dolphins and the Jets, not so high and mighty now, are you? I think the Bills just need to crawl back into the hell hole they came from, eat shit, and die.
I would now like to discuss the 8-0 Tennessee Titans, good for you guys, undefeated, all right! I can’t knock this team down, they’re good, but I don’t think they’ll go undefeated. As everybody knows, there has only been one undefeated team in the history of the NFL, and that was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Perhaps that will change this year… NAH, there will never be another undefeated team unless it is the Miami Dolphins, the Greatest Football Team.
Now onto the Colts, Peyton Manning, I gotta hand it to you, you may be the only quarterback in the NFL right now that can be having a horrible season and still be considered the best in the league. The Colts suck this year, but they are still known as a good team, I don’t fucking get it, they probably won’t even make the playoffs. Perhaps our friends at EA sports will see how bad the colts suck and make their team according to that.
Next team I would like to discuss is the Jacksonville Jaguars, YOU GUYS SUCK. They lost to the Browns and the Bengals, If I were Head Coach Jack Del Rio, I would beg to be fired from this team so I didn’t have to put up with any more of this teams bull shit. My friend is a Jags fan, and when ever I play him in Madden, I realize that Fred Taylor is a beast. Last year I agreed, he was a beast and hie did deserve his ratings, but he hasn’t done shit this year, rate his ass down!
Now the Texans, I don’t have much to say about this team, They are a good team, they started off slow, but after a last second win over Miami they became a pretty good team, Andre Johnson is a beast.
Now onto the San Diego Chargers, SUCK MY DICK! This team sucks, yet everyone still sees them as the dynamic San Diego Chargers they have been over the past years. This year they suck, L.T. isn’t playing like L.T., Their Defense sucks, what more is there to say?
And as for the Denver Broncos? OVER RATED. They have no Defense, their offense is one dimensional. They only ran for 14 yards against the Dolphins, and because of their one dimensional offense they only had to shut down Brandon Marshal to beat them, which they did. Cutler sucks, he threw three interceptions, one of them going for a TD, how do they expect to win with him at QB?
Now for the Oakland Raiders. I don’t think there’s much to talk about here, if Darren McFadden can become good in the NFL they can be a good team, but that obviously isn’t happening this season, and as for Jamarcus Russel, We’ll have to wait and see if he was worth the first overall pick.
Chiefs suck, enough said.
Now for the Baltimore Ravens, awesome D, no shit. Joe Flacco’s been playing pretty good, and Willis Mcgahee is a beast. This team should make it to the playoffs.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are as well a good team, but with Big Ben’s Health this season, they may not finnish the season as well as they possibly could. This Defense is really good, but their offense, a little inconsistent with all these injuries, at least Willie Parker is back off his injury, that should help them maintain their lead in the division.
Bengals season was over week one, it’s a good thing they won this week, because with their schedule, 0-16 was very possible.
That’s that for the AFC, now onto the NFC.
I would like to start out with the Dallas Cowboys. They suck, Romo is a bitch, wether he is injured or not, he should remain on the bench, not that Brad Johnson is any better. This team is full of stars, they have some of the best players in the league, how are they stuggling so much? T.O., Marrion Barber, Roy Jones, Zach Thomas, Pacman Jones… So many big name players, they suck. I honestly think it’s the coaching staff, they all went to Miami, so they had to start from scratch this season, I think it’s the only reason for this team, at least a good excuse.
The Eagles are pretty good, Deshaun Jackson was lookin really good early this season, but I haven’t heard much since then, Westbrook, although injured, is a beast, and McNabb is havin a pretty good season, I don’t think they’ll win the division, but they could always win the wild card.
Redskins are pretty good too, but a little inconsistant, as I am typing this they are getting beat 23-6 to the steelers with Big Ben out of the game, they lost to the Rams, but have been able to beat some teams in their tough division. This team is too inconsistent to be any good, Portis is a beast, but besides that, I don’t see much coming out of this team this year.
Now for the New York Football Giants, as much as I hate New York, I must say this is a good team, best of luck to you bastards, now FUCK OFF!
The Rams have been a shitty team for a while, but lately have been winning some upsets. They could be a good team soon, but I do believe it’s too late for them to be thinking playoffs. Maybe next year, ass holes.
49ers, I like the new coach, he seems like an ass hole, I like ass holes. I think this year they won’t do much, but look out for them to make some noise in the future, as long as this fucking guy is the coach, this team is gonna play with some attitude, as long as the players buy into him and his system.
Cardinals have one hell of an Offense, and an effective defense. One of these days, Matt Leinart needs to step up and become a good quarter back, until then he is still and will remain a piece of fucking shit.
Now the Seahawks, they just plain suck, They need to go and jump off a damn cliff, or drown themselves in the ocean, or some shit, they’re gonna get killed this weekend by the Miami Dolphins.
Time for Da Bears, I like this team, can’t say they’re very good, but I like them, beast Defense, what’s new, They have a pretty good rookie running back, Orton’s been doing pretty good, but he’s hurt now, that sucks, They almost lost to the Lions, not much more to say.
Green Bay, Aaron Rogers, beast, awesome receivers, really good defense, Grant isn’t as good as he was last year, but good enough. they should win the division with ease.
Lions suck, what more can I say, hip hip hooray they have culpepper now, what the fuck has he done since he and moss seperated? Sucked with the Dolphins, sucked with the Raiders, will he suck with the Lions? Probobly, I would be surprised if he’s half decent.
And as for the Minnasota Vikings, Gus Frerotte is the man, he got the Miami the most wins they’ve had in the past many years, so he’s got skill, Bernard Barrion, beast, Adrian Peterson, could definitely be playing better, but he’s a beast none the less, awesome run stopping deffense, but the team should be a lot better than they are playing.
Time for the Atlanta Falcons, I must say Matt Ryan is pretty good, but lets not get too excited, he’s still a rookie. They won’t win the division.
Panthers, good team, But I’m not convinced that they’re good enough.
Saints suck, Reggie Bush, retire, or become a receiver, because you are no running back.
Now for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, They have played inconsistently, but I honestly think they have been playing like ass holes, just fucking around knowing they can win each game, thats why they lost to the shitty ass cowboys, the broncos, every game they lost they fucked around too much, hopefully they don’t take themselves out of the playoffs, because they are clearly the best tem in their devision, awesome defense. Awesome running game, awesome passing game, they just gotta stop playing like ass holes.
That is the NFL in a nutshell, go Dolphins, fuck everyone else.
campbell being an 88 is laughable, except i cant because santana is rated so low for a top 5 wideout it makes me cry like T.O. at a press conference, mike green could use a minute (+1 or 2) upgrade as he started and preformed well in relief of the defensive rookie of the year (horton) and ive seen every snap this year and santana has 3 drops plus one that was a forceout, i think EA is thinking of randel el with the horrible drops (leads team) landry should get a boost just to AWR 65 really? hes all over the field and has a few pass deflections, springs needs to be a 92 speed, ditto for rogers, leigh torrence needs to go down overall, great speed horrible coverage skills, and good god can i get an o line upgrade? now that im done with the home team lets rip other teams:
bills- trent edwards -2 marshawn lynch -5 to -7
fins-porter to mid 90s, pennington +1
pats- faulk +2 mayo +2
jets- leon washington +2
steelers- big ben -1 moore -1
ravens- good so far id say +1 to suggs but hes already amazing
browns- -1 whole team
bengals- they already suck though i could understand a downgrade
giants tuck +1burress -2, had horrible drops steve smith +2, the antiplax
cowboys, -1 whole team -5 brad johnson -12 brooks bollinger -5 barber,
-1000000 jerry jones
eagles maybe +1 westbrook, should be 98
chargers, -2 whole team, glad to see the veteran coaching paying off
raiders see browns
chiefs late game collapse proves a next year mentality, rated fine now
seatle- mangled much? -1 totupa -2 patrick kerney
arizona, who knew, kurt warner +2, breaston +1
rams- fine, right where they should be
niners, i love ya mike but -2 to the corners, eli tore them apart like a priest on an alterboy
when campbell breaks the no ints per attempt record can he please be the 90-92 he so rightfully deserves, santana also
great job jinxing your team. campbell proved that when the skins needed him to carry this team he couldnt do it. 49.2 pass rating, 56% comp. 0td 2 int. could have easily been 5 int. sacked 7 times, he didnt even play as well as byron leftwich. clinton portis got shut down running the ball, however he did have some good yds receiving. washingtons o-line was just ugly couldnt spring portis for any yardage, allowed campbell to be sacked 7 times. santana moss 2 rec 14yds atleast 2 drops. bottom line, besides clinton portis washingtons ratings are where they belong.

lol skins. 7 sacks 55 rushing yards. Best o-line my ass
November 4, 2008 at 9:05 am
i should be at least an 86-87
November 4, 2008 at 11:47 am
okay…something is fucked up. Everytime I go to play an online game it tells me I need a roster update but no matter how matter times I download it it still tells me I need another one the next time I go online.
November 4, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Who is this clown that does the player ratings. Reggie Bush was leading the lead in TD at one point and he never got a increase. The Dallas defense can’t stop anyone, and there ratings stay the same. This guy need to be fired. He portably don’t even know what a cover 2 defense is and he is playing god with the madden ratings.
November 4, 2008 at 1:21 pm
why is it everytime a player has 1 good game everyone thinks that guy deserves a ratings boost? i dont agree w/ having roster updates every week except to update injuries, roster moves, and contracts. it should be every 2 or 3 weeks instead.
some people on here have valid complaints, ie. portis and s. moss leading the league should get boosts, whereas chad johnson should go down. however, the majority are just knit picking over nothing. give it a rest.

That is the NFL in a nutshell, go Dolphins, fuck everyone else.
you have no right to bash on anyone right now considering ur team is garbage ..1-15 last year wow very impressive and this year will be about 6 more wins with no playoffs have fun watching other teams in the playoffs

The buffalo bills have a number of key players out hurt. trent edwards has a full 16 total NFL games under his belt. For being so young and inexperienced the guy has been playing very well. I think every team in the AFC East knows there a threat to each other. Its a feud between division games but when its all said and done all the afc east teams are allot alike , and all have a shot no one team is all that much better then the other period. Edwards Farve Pennington all playing very well and have a good chance of doing somthing great this year. Matt cassel is a POS along with his Spygate cheating homo boy friend tom brady.
