HB Cedric Benson – Bengals – 78 to 79 – Has taken the starting running back job for the Bengals.
DT Shaun Rogers – Browns – 95 to 96 – Traded in the offseason for Leigh Bodden. Back to being the monster he was.
LB D’Qwell Jackson – Browns – 86 to 87 – Racking up a ton of tackles in the middle for the Browns.
QB Kurt Warner – Cardinals – 88 to 91 – In the conversation for MVP as many times as the Cardinals throw.
LT Mike Gandy – Cardinals – 92 to 93 – Not thought of as an elite pass blocker but is.
WR Jerheme Urban – Cardinals – 72 to 74 – Starting to get looks in the 4 WR package.
QB Tyler Thigpen – Chiefs – 73 to 75 – Got a boost in throw power as he showed he has an NFL arm.
WR Mark Bradley – Chiefs – 73 to 77 – Has risen up the KC depth chart in no time.
CB Andre Goodman – Dolphins – 74 to 76 – Detroit fans might scoff but has played well in Miami the past couple weeks.
QB Matt Ryan – Falcons – 84 to 86 – Is the real deal.
DE John Abraham – Falcons – 94 to 96 – Continuing to be a pass rushing monster under Mike Smith.
CB Darrelle Revis – Jets – 91 to 92 – The new budding star for “shutdown” talk.
CB Charles Woodson – Packers – 93 to 94 – Had some missteps with Bobby Wade but showed his incredible smarts picking off a pass in the slot.

DT Tony Brown – Titans – 86 to 88 – Racked up 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks with an impressive 7 tackles for loss.

Ratings Down

C Melvin Fowler – Bills – 83 to 81 – Another in a long line of guys to get hurt for a couple weeks and find their spots taken when they get back.

too bad pasta doesn’t do the updates… it’s ea that does them and pasta just get’s the info and puts in on their website, so quit asking them questions that they obviously don’t know the answer to. but on the updates, i have two sides to it. in case anybody has forgotten, ea doesn’t just make madden, they make tons of other games like nba live, and nhl and even rpg’s. they dont’ have a million hours to work on the updates, i’m sure most of the people would be more happy if they just didn’t do the updates every week and waited about 3 or 4 weeks to not just judge on one bad performance, but to do an overall rating over just one game. most of these players aren’t getting boosted because their just getting into a rythem. yes, people do get into a rythem and do good, and then fall off the grid the next year. take the packers running back from a couple years back, samkon gado. nobody had heard of him and he just blew up out of nowhere and did solid when he rushed the ball. now he doesn’t even have a team to play for. these people who play in the nfl are HUMAN BEINGS NOT COMPUTERS and just like when somebody does good one week in madden with whoever you may be playing with, doesn’t mean their great. get off ea’s nuts and give them some space, instead of bitching, make some suggestions to help solve this problem cuz bitching isn’t getting anything done

calm down buccs fans we will get ours eventually, I can understand why garcia has a low rating even though all the guy does is win. but still that is not an excuse for ea not pasta to drop the ball week in and week out on the buccs when you give the bills who are playing almost as bad as the bengals and the cowboys are right now boosts come on. EA you guys have a reputation of providing the most realistic football game out there, now i know you guys have tons of games out there but you have to realize that your big because of madden not because of NBA Live, NHL, March Madness, or any of your other games you guys make your money basically on Madden and NCAA Football.

Im just so fed up with Madden. I keep telling myself i am just going to stop playing it since it is a horrible representation of football, but because there are no other options, i always keep playing, hoping that one day i will turn on the game and everything will be right. Playing against the CPU isn’t realistic because unless you play on rookie, you will almost never get a sack, the CPU rarely misses a pass. I’m just tired of the nonsense. I just want to play a game that feels like the real thing. There shouldn’t be difficulty ratings, there should be realistic-ness ratings.

Personally, im starting to think maybe its not EAs fault. Maybe football is just one of those kind of games that cannot be imitated into a realistic game. There are far more elements involved in football than any other sport, and maybe there just isn’t a way to formulate that into a great game.

And just a side note, Jerious Norwood leads the league in Yard Per Run with a 5.6 AVG… He also ran the fastest time at the combine (in the reggie bush draft)… why he is still a 96 spd is beyond me…. 99 or higher

And his rating went down from last year’s game…for no reason. But, he still blows past everyone I play.

yea but still, people need to realize that even the people who have the job have a life, unless ur donald trump then ur job isn’t ur life. most people enjoy their free time, and let’s be “madden realistic” here, i bet most of the people who do these updates don’t even watch all the games or even some of them. even if each person is assigned a certain game or w/e, i doubt somebody else will watch it so there’s two opinions to a game. in that sense, most of these updates are probably based on one person’s opinion per team, or maybe two. in the other sense, none of these people really watch football cuz they have other things to do and probably don’t like their job too much, but it doesn’t get easier than doing an update for a video game, which i seriously doubt there’s just one group of people to work on, cuz if they did their job correctly and did about 8 hrs a day for around 10 people, that’s 80 hrs a day to work on it (plus time outside an office to do w/e they do). you can’t find full games on the internet, or maybe ea can cuz of their license idk. but i bet most of these are based on highlights

The people who think Joe Flacco is just as good if not better than Matt Ryan are delusional. Ryan has more TD’s, less INT’s, more yards, and an 87.8 passer rating compared to Flacco’s 77.2. Flacco is good, but not as good as Ryan.

And give Norwood a boost for christ’s sake. He deserves it.

Here’s some giants players that need to be upgraded:

Justin Tuck(DE)94-96: has 8.5 sacks, 40-some tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and an int. return for a TD.

Brandon Jacobs(RB)90-93: has 879 rushing yds and has more TD’s than any other player with 11.

Corey Webster(CB)87-90: 3 picks and has been shutting down every receiver matched up against him “cough *TO* cough”

Madison Hedgecock(FB)88-90: even John madden said he is the best blocking FB in the NFL

Entire O-Line up 2 points: do i even have 2 explain?

MAthias Kiwanuka(DE)87-88: has 7 sacks as a backup to Umenyiora

damn just quit being a whiney lil bitch. damn you must realy suck if you cant get a sack on the computer. when i play against the comp. i play with the difficulty sliders all the way up and i avg.. 2 sacks and 1 int a game. maybe its not the game but just you.

With a fantasy drafted team mind you, I have held the computer to under 200 yards of total offense and no scores. All of this while playing on all-madden and using 10 minute quarters. Football is a game of matchups. Dont expect to sack T. Brady everytime you blitz just becuase you brought 6 guys. He has a great o-line in the game and gets the ball out fast. You have to know that no play will work everytime ever. You need to play the percentages based upon player personel, down and distance. The more I play this madden the more im impressed with how real it is. While certainly not perfect, it is definately the closest anygame has ever come to real football. I have even blocked punts and a FG once. So just try mixing things up a bit more and using plays that utilize your players strengths more.

yea i understand that, LT should be lowered to about a 94 or so because he isn’t putting up the numbers he used to, but then again he has been hampered by a toe injury, and if u watch nfl and SC like i do, u’d know that he really kicks it in during the second half of the season, i bet he breaks 1200 yrds rushing. i still think he should be lowered cuz he now has a passing game around him so defenses aren’t completely focused on him like usual, but i’m sure he’ll kick it in cuz he’s a vet. and shaun alexander is a completely different story, he just dropped off the grid and wasn’t doing anything really, not to argue. and yea, i think ppl on ir shouldn’t be able to play and hasselback should be lowered 1 or 2 points only because he was injured for around 5 weeks and he’s a veteran so i’m sure he’ll get it back. EA’s hard on rookies and newer players who do really good because they haven’t proven their worth over two or three years, and if you make them a 90 this year and they drop significantly in performance, people will bitch about them too cuz they aren’t performing, so seniority has a significan roll in ratings. if you know how to defend on madden, you don’t need an offense with insane firepower. defense wins championships, and if you can stop people on offense, then all u need is an accurate qb and decent recievers and a power back an you’ll have it made. because it’s almost impossible to stop slant routes… anyway, i love this game a lot and i prefer to play on franchise, but every once in a while i’ll play online

Corey Webster(CB)87-90- has 3 picks, and is shutting down every receiver matched up against him “cough *T.O.* cough”

I totally agree.. and ross should go back to 87 88 after his splendid day vs baltimore.

    @ pissed off giants fan:

yea, because covering the baltimore recievers is a tough job when all baltimore uses is one cut routes and runs the ball…

I totally agree and it's getting to be obvious that someone at EA sports is bias against the Giants. It was kinda hid at first but now it's coming out and is as plain as day. It's okay to feel a certain way about a team good or bad, but if a team's playing great ball at 10-1 it shouldn't be a struggle in any way, shape, fashion, or form when playing with them.
