Madden 09 Roster Update #16 Details

by
Posted December 19th, 2008 at 4:04 pm

We have now reached the 16th roster update of the year for Madden 09 which became available earlier today. After much discussion around LaDainian Tomlinson continuing to be rated 99 he still remains that way, though he did drop in some specific ratings categories. I don’t think that is enough, the justification isn’t there for him remaining a 99 overall. Unless the ratings are based more on the past than the present. This is the guy who turned down the Madden cover because it didn’t pay enough money, so I’m not sure why he would be getting such favoritism.

Also of note is a small ratings bump for Matt Cassell. Others such Joe Flacco, DeAngelo Williams, Steve Slaton, and John Carlson didn’t see any improvement. Continue on for all the transactions, ratings up/down, injuries, and contract extensions.

and ovie plows the way.with turner having that many yards i think ovie needs a little boost and more rush blocking.ovie is a tank.the TE's are ok i guess.lawyer milloy needs a boost immediatly.he leads that defense and without milloy against the rams it showed.he is such a factor on the D.milloy should be 85 or 86 not a low 82.i mean look how hard he hits.and to those ney sayers…"idc if milloy cheap shots people he still gives a pounding".the CB's are doing pretty good.maybe a little boost but not drastic.J bab up front also needs more boosts.hes such a disruptor on the D-line and he gets through many times during the game.

    • lukum58

grady jackson also needs more tackling.i mean has anyone seen him let go of a tackle when the running back goes to the hole he is in.the only reason i say that is cuz the running back has to go to his hole cuz grady cant move(lol).hary douglas also should go up in speed and hands and agility.brian finneran should have better route running cuz he is so big for the falcons on 3rd down and most of the time hes open on 3rd down when matt ryan hits him for a 1st down.john abraham is the leader in sacks for DEs.they should rate him like he is the best not 96.he should be a solid 97 or 98 the highest.its disappointing to see these people just overlook the falcons cuz they are a young team.its wrong.there must be something done about this.the falcons are in the playoffs when people doubted them.its time they get the respect and the ratings boost that they deserve and worked so hard for….well maybe they didnt work to be better in madden but they worked to get to the playoffs and THEY ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!! GO FALcONS!!!!!

Where the FUCK is the update? The Cowboys need to have their rating reduced ASAP. Also Mikells rating had better fucking go up, he's been a beast.

    • KRIS

      THANK U SIR

      • Studd

Well Jim Johnson said that Mikell is the Eagles defensive MVP. I think he knows a little more about defense than these cowboy cock suckers on the madden staff. I mean seriously, if roy e williams remains the same, it will pretty much confirm alot. and how about Dawkins as well? The mans a living legend who gets better as the season goes on unlike some *coughFAVREcough*

        • ken

are sure your not confused because one would assume dawkins is defensive mvp or trent cole, i think you meant most improved defensive player cus he went from bum special teams standout to barely sufficient starter…hes over rated at 86 he should be somewhere between 78-81, dawkins on the other hand should be at a minimum 95, id even go as high as 98 for the best safety in the nfc

          • KRIS

THIS SPECIAL TEAMS TALK BY U IS BLOWING ME……GET UR FACTS RIGHT MAN. THIS GUYS BEEN A STARTER FOR TWO SEASONS. PEOPLE DO GET BETTER. 78-81??? im sure when ppl read that shit they just kno not to take u seriously. MAN UR JUST A HATER ITS REALLY SAD THO

          • ken

i didnt hate on the entire team its just you pick the one guy that doesnt deserve an upgrade i just get annoyed when people complain about upgrading players who dont deserve it and are over rated as it is

look at laron landry and look at quintin mikell….. tell me whos overrated. u dont kno what ur talkin about let the shit go

Ed Reed needs to go back to 99 overall

    • ken

you could also make a case for palamalu to be a 98, but ed reed should be a 99, thats a sure fire sign the guys doing the updates barely follow football, ed reed is the best safety in the league, free or strong, has been for years, id love to hear anyone argue against this one…

      • SteelCurtain

You asked for a case Ken, you’ll get one. Don’t base it specifically on interceptions. Last I checked, off the top of my head, I can remember 2 games where he got two picks in one game. Redskins and Jaguars. HUGE accomplishment. Jason Cambell is way too over hyped. The guy fears the whole NFC East. Blitzs make the guy piss his pants… With the Ravens D they have, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he threw 10 picks. Colt Brennen is better than him. The Steelers are the ones to get Cambell on his pick crazy spree. He had NO interceptions until he played us. And I think he finally threw two to us.
As for the Jaguars, all I need to do is mention their name. I predicted them to make it high in the playoffs. Obviously that’s not going to happen. They’ve been in a huge slump all year with key injuries. They have NO oline. Put them against a really physical pass rushing defense, what do you think’s going to happen? Like I said, I’m surprised the defense didn’t get MORE picks.

        • ken

and what the crap are you talking about campbell fears the nfc east? we swept the eagles and hes thrown 1 int vs the nfc east, 6 division games and 1 pic doesnt spell fear, and as i have said all year he is severely underrated he almost broke the completions without a pic record for the 8 consecutive games he didnt throw a pic, if you wanna talk about over rated qbs you should look at big ben, hes rated better than campbell in the game but on the stat sheet campbell is better, BB – 17tds 15 ints JC 13tds 6ints, BB – qb rating 80.1 JC qb rating 84.3; campbell is obviously the better qb when compared to the plaxicoless rothleisberger (eli stole bens "strategy" of when ever he panics heave it in plax's general direction) whos stats have plummited since his rookie year

          • SteelCurtain

First off, again, you have to watch the games not just highlight shows and stats bro. If you knew what kinda line we're trying to work with, you wouldn't even mention that pointless assault you just put on Big Ben. Our best players on the line this year are gone with injuies. (Marvel Smith and Kendal Simmons) and THEY weren't even too great. We didn't make any significant changes to better us in any situation. I'm honestly surprised we made it this far. I'm happy we have the defense that we do. They truly carried us to where we are. Every team has a storyline this year. Our's is our line. Know it before you make any judgements. As for the NFC East comment I made about his fear, it's not even just the NFC East. The guy is NOT a good starter. He has his games but he's nowhere near consistant. After his game against us, and throwing his first pair of picks, he went on a landslide and you can't even say he didn't… you'd be lieing to yourself.

          • KRIS

polamalu is already a 98 isnt he??????????? big ben is way better than jason campbell. not stats wise but in the clutch as a nfl qb, he is who id go to. jim zorn was using campbell to not lose the game not to win the game therse a diff. he was protecting jason by just handing it off to portis over 300 times. answer this question…who would u rather have on ur team?

          • SteelCurtain

Lol that's exactly what I thought. He's already a 98. Thanks for the comment on Big Ben bro. I think Campbell is DECENT…but nowhere near the elite QBS like Manning, Brady,McNabb,Roethlisberger,Manning,Rivers….OR even Chad Pennington lol.

          • ken

you mean the chad pennington that threw 4 ints today? or the roethlisberger that threw the 15 ints in the regular season? my bad i thought you were trying to say that was better and more efficient than the 6 campbell had in 16 games, as for polamalu already being a 98 i thought he was lower thats what i thought he should be rated

          • SteelCurtain

Roethlisberger and Pennington can throw a combined 60 picks for all I care. Fact of the matter is, they're the type of QBs that can take a game over and get the W. They're game changers. Campbell is no leader. Where is Campbell right now…sitting at home right? Yeah, you are bad.

          • ken

he had a rough game but im glad you brought up consistency, campbell consistently has efficient games 60% 1-0, 2-0, similar to that anyway but if you look at big ben in the plaxicoless steelers you start to notice a trend after his rookie year 50% 1-1, 1-2 similar to those lines with an occasional breakout game against a crappy team like the bengals or browns, unfortunately the skins play in the toughest division so campbells got 6 ridiculously challenging games every year as aposed to bens 2 vs the ravens, so technically i would rather have campbell as ben doenst know how to take care of the ball which in our division is life and death, where as ben can throw 4 pics to the browns or bengals and still win with fast willie

          • KRIS

my opinion might piss u off but….ed reed is a glorified tackling corner. for example. if u put antione winfield(probably spelled that wrong)at safety. hell yeah hes got the pics but the guy just cant tackle like other safeties ie. polamalu or dawkins. troy can do it all where as ed reed has that element kinda missing from his game.

          • SteelCurtain

You couldn't have put it any better Kris. Dawkins and Polamalu are complete safeties of the league. Reed is like you said, more of a corner type guy. We've got guys who can complete a tackle to basically anybody…by themselves. Reed mainly has assisted tackles.

          • ken

hey did you guys happen to catch that line today about Ed Reed being the only player in nfl history to return a punt, punt block, fumble, and int for tds in the same season it was right after the "glorified tackling corner" as you put it got one of his two pics, not the one that daggared the game but the one that went for a td, and that gentleman is why ed reed is just slightly better than troy polamalu (you coulda just said its an o)

          • KRIS

U JUST PROVED OUR POINT!!!!! ok hes an amazing playMAKER….but hes not a better safety

          • SteelCurtain

Lol this guy never ceases to amaze me Kris. Ed Reed is praised for his two picks, but like I said, almost the WHOLE defensive backfield got picks. It's kinda easy when he's floating his bombs too. I'm surprised they couldn't get MORE picks. And reminder Ken, Reed returns his picks for touchdowns better because he's got that punt return vision. The guy can't make many solo tackles though. Polomalu can finish the job on his own. Reed needs more help.

    • Broncos Offense

polomalu and reed should both be 99 with like 96 speed 95 hitting power 92 tackling and they are scary ass safeties im gonna be scared when Jay Cutler and the Broncos play them this upcoming season

      • SteelCurtain

Thank you bro and it's P-o-l-a-m-a-l-u lol. Let the guy just hate on the Steelers. It's not like the Madden ratings will be based on his opinion. It is what it is.

Lets look at solo tackles. According to the NFL, Reed had 34, Polamalu had 54. Reed assisted 7 tackles. Polamalu assisted 19 tackles. 73 total tackles for Polamalu.41 Ed Reed. Tackle comparison=Woowwwwww Reed’s got one sack, Polamalu has none. Reed has a forced fumble, Polamalu doesn’t officially, but anyone watching the Chargers game knows that the last play of the game it was ANOTHER touchdown we should have won by. Last I checked, Polamalu was the one causing that turn around into a touchdown. As many of you know, the refs apologized for their error. This ties their defensive touchdowns at one. I think you go by wayy too many halftime highlights bro. Don’t believe the Reed hype. He’s a great player. I’ll never go against that. When I have people going against Polamalu Island (for those of you who saw that commercial) for him though, I have to say something.

    • ken

im not against palamalu, quite the oposite i was saying he needs to be a 98, its a crime that he isnt and when comparing probowl players its like debating whos better between payton and brady, in the end brady is better, as is reed, troy is the second (id have him tied or slightly better than dawkins) best safety in the league, mainly because ed reed puts points on the board, he returns kicks punts pics and fumbles for tds, im just sayin ed reed deserves to be a 99, palamalu is a very close 2nd at 98…

Ken…understandable when you mispell the name once or twice..but you're getting it wrong everytime. It's P-o-l-a-m-a-l-u bro..I know the guy on the Raiders is complicated, but Troy's a LOT easier. You go on to make your cases on the two top safties, yet you can't even get their names spelled right. Doesn't help your case. Ed Reed puts point on the board?….Didn't I just mention to you the defensive touchdowns?I saw on NFL.com Reed has one. Troy SHOULD have one but the officiating took it back and made a mistake…a win's a win though so I'll take it. The only thing better about Reed is he can be used for kickoffs like you said. Polamalu is capable of doing everything else you mentioned, but your hate for the Steelers surely wont change your mind. Can't blame ya though…Being a Redskins fan. I'll write on that above ^

        • slugz

and polamalu cant cut the field in half and qb will try troy more than reed

          • SteelCurtain

There's a reason why Reed returns punts for you guys. He has that vision to do so. After he gets his picks, I would EXPECT the guy to juke everyone's ass. Troy, as you know, is NOT a contributer to our kick return duties.Troy steps up when tried by the qbs. Reed needs help from other DBs…unless he plays the smaller guys like Ginn and Bess.

      • SteelCurtain

Your injury statement was wayy over exaggerated. Anyways, getting on this weekends past game, have you seen how small the Dolphins receivers are? Picks against them is no accomplishment. They were really good and set a record at the fewest turn overs, yeah, but Pennington definitely helped you guys out the whole game. You DON'T bomb it out to those small ass receivers against a team like the Ravens. He floated it, making it even worse. Reed wasn't the only one to get the picks. Almost the WHOLE defensive backfield did. Nothing spetacular.

No, that guy on the Raiders isn't worth anyone's time in learning how to spell his name lol. It's wayy too complicated. Soo with the comment about you wanting The Bus to fumble for a touchdown, I'm guessing you're a Colts fan? Or just wanted to see him fuck up? Orrr with all the whining you made about Cambell, are you a Redskins fan? Either way, I can see why you have a grudge. This year we caused Campbell's downfall. And we beat you guys in the playoffs a few years back after you guys embarrassed us in the regular season that year. Payback was a bitch wasn't it? Whether you're a Colts fan or not, I loved it. When they beat us in the regualr season, the looks Harrison gave off pissed me off. There was nothin better than silencing him. As for the Deadskins, as Kris would call it, I loved the fact that at that game, there were more Steelers fans than Redskins. That's Steeler Nation for ya bro. True fans. I THOUGHT the Redskins had all these fans after watching the hall of fame ceremony when the fans wouldn't shut the fuck up. I thought they'd show at the game, but we outnumbered them.

        • ken

not a colts fan, and i hate the steelers cus
they didnt give the head coach job to russ grimm or wisenhunt
big ben is a bum without a 6'11 wideout
mewelde moore is horrible and almost cost them a game by taking a handoff on his knees, though it was damned funny to see

          • SteelCurtain

At the time, yeah, it did seem like they deserved to be the coaches. However, look at us now. All the doubters of Tomlin were put to rest. I for one am happy to have him as our coach. Look at his success in his first and only two head coaching seasons. The guy just keeps getting better and better. As for what you said on Big Ben…uhh..last I checked, every QB likes to have a big go to guy. Hines and Santonio are great, but we need a tall guy who make get the jump ball. Every QB wants a tall go to guy. You really don't know your football do you?

As for what you said about Mewelde Moore, there you go again running your mouth on situations you don't know the story behind. The guy was supposed to be our BACKUPS backup. Willie Parker has been down in a few games this season. Rashard Mendehall was out for the WHOLE season. Our two top running backs were out. Last I checked, 3rd stringers are third stringers for a reason. However, Moore did a great job and did what he had to do to get us the W when needed. He did his job + more. he wasn't signed to be our starter. Again…know your football bro. I would love to know your team.

          • ken

i relize tomlins good, i knew he would be (most vikings coordinators pan out to a degree of success) i just disagree with franchises that dont keep their promises, but its a business and thats the nature of the beast, and speaking of knowing your football not every QB wants a tall guy to throw to, historically the teams of the late 70's to mid 80s consisted of short speedy sure handed wideouts not guys in the vincent jackson randy moss mold…thats why troy williamson never panned out with the vikes and the skins have 3 super bowls…

          • SteelCurtain

Ken, let me help you out again,,,in the late 70s, receivers weren't that big. AS you may know,as the years went by,and generations passed, players got bigger….and better. The taller, better go to guys with the good hands became more in demand. Generations improved. Guys got better. I'm sure you know this…I'm sure EVERYONE kows this.

          • ken

did you seriously try and defend that with some evolution of the game theory? nice effort, i am truely impressed, its wrong but im still impressed you put forth the effort. the whole reason that teams eyed taller rangier recievers in the early 90's up til today is tied to the proliferation of the bill walsh offensive system (if you dont know the difference between bill walsh's offense and the "west coast" offense youve got some reading todo) people saw what he did tried to put their mark on it and screwed it up (case and point chris henry) im pretty sure humanity hasnt made the next evolutionary jump that eliminates shorter wideouts, to me hieght is irrelivent catching ablility and speed are the 2 areas id focus on, whole point being i dont give props if defensive coordinators arent bright enough to discover if you blitz he will ALWAYS throw to this one guy, at least eli accidently adapted once underthrew plax and hit tyree…

…It's wrong?…uhh..okay man whatever helps you sleep at night. There's no point in answering to any of your posts because no matter what I say you'll just keep hating on the Steelers and my posts. Just as you do with all of Kris' posts.
As for your little history lessons, they aren't needed. I know my football. What are you going to tell me next, Vincent Jackson was suspected of a dui yesterday? Or Mangini was hired as the Browns coach?I know my football. I'm sure you just found out your info though on Bill Walsh, because as we all know, lately, you've been far off with the facts. I wouldn't doubt you've been trying to get accurate staying up all night watching NFL programs.

I'll end this with one last statement. 4th and 15 at the 50 yardline.Five seconds left in the 4th and you're losing by four. Obviously a hail mary would be your best shot..or atleast SOME long pass. Who would you rather throw it to? A Randy Moss/ T.O. caliber player, or a Steve Smth/ Santana Moss kinda guy? Thanks.

wow, its sooooooooo stupid on how this whole season the chargers of at least 5 players dint go up.

Rivers rating is surpose to be way way higher,
    sproles rating is higher,
    Jamal williams,
    Vincent Jackson.

    wow… to much haters.

rivers i agree with biggest probowl snub, sproles? seriously YOU HAVE LT! i might give him a moderate speed boost but thats nitpicking, jamal williams give me a stat or reason to justify it and i might agree but for now no, and vincent jackson, be happy his 6'5 ass is rated as high as he is ive seen him drop a few this year, not many but a few, compare his previous years stats to this years and see if there is a dramatic difference, probably not…

    • broncos offense

only Rivers and Sproles deserve a boost, Rivers especially. Still cant believe Favre made the pro bowl over him

When it 1st came out yall all liked it and said it was the best ever. Great graphics and gamplay now because you played everyday for 6 months you are bored of it…hmmmm I wonder why? Maybe if you took a break and not play 24/7 for a 6 months you wouldn't be so bored. Go outside and get a life then come back. You always come back anyway because my product is soooooooooooo gooood!

    • ken

i gotta be specific when it first came out it was the best madden ever on next gen systems, only cus madden 08 on ps3 is just about unplayable, and 07 was even worse. I can put whip cream on a piece of shit and call it dessert, but if there was anything else on the menu i wouldnt have this foul taste in my mouth like i just paid $70 for a piece of shit…i miss ps2 madden, it was damn near perfect

yea ur kinda right… but for me i thought it was great for about a week. then it got dry and overly repetitave. after playing it for a week i was seing the same four tackles and the same few animations over and over again. its gets old sir. and since this is "your" product can u tell us y there hasnt been an update in over two weeks and when we should expect one?

    • Mr. EA Sports

You will get the update when you get the update. Why do you wait for the update all week then when it comes out you just criticize it? How about this, just edit your own ratings then you can have B-Dawk with 99 overrall and 99 across the board just like you like it Kris. Heck, you can make the whole Eagles team 99 all the way around. You know what's funny I'm an Eagles fan but lets be real Dallas has more talent than any other team in the and NFL that's why they have an 97 overrall rating. If there was an chemistry rating I would give them a 0 but until a chemistry rating is added Dallas will remain 97 today, tomorrow and every season as long as they maintain their talent. If you have a problem with this call Jerry Jones because he keeps my pockets fat.

      • KRIS

u dont kno me at all. so y r u making dumb ass comments about how u kno what i like? and if ur a real eagles fan y r u shooting down what im saying and talking up the team we despise…….o nevermind i understand……

        • Mr. EA Sports

Know you do not have a extensive enough grasp of what I'm telling you KRIS. Dallas has T.O., R. Williams, Witten, Barber, F. Jones & Romo. All of those players have made the pro bowl. Now the Eagles have McNabb & Westbrook and dat's it as far a pro bowl considerations. Dallas has more talent but thier team sucks big time because of weak personalities. Everybody but Witten has a prima dona complex and chokes in big games but they all have more talent combined than any other team in the NFL. Do you agree on this Krissy?

i very rarely post on a noobs comment, and bashing kris and the eagles might be entertaining but im going to refrain, your justification of dallas being a 97 overall is recockulous; by the way the eagles also have dawkins samuel cole and im puking up as i say it but stewart bradley. t.o. has more dropped passes in 3 years than every wideout at the probowl COMBINED, Roy E williams i think he has 300 yards on the year nuf said there, felix jones has been gone all year so im not sure why an injured player would factor in but i dont see a point to it, dallas has more talent on their team if your trying to build a meth lab, because if they were so talented they would have beat the eagles not get rocked in the funniest game of the year…if you have any facts or logic from this years games i eagerly await your respons

          • Mr. EA Sports

Ok Kenny can I call you Kenny? Shut up don't answer! Dallas players resume in the regular season speaks for itself. All of those players were pro bowlers at some point and Witten is the best TE not named Gonzalas in the NFL. There is no team chemistry rating and a choking rating if there was they would have a big fat 0, I guarentee. The Eagles play on heart and team chemistry so I would give them a 98 but that's not how we do business. Jerry Jones keeps my wallet fat for a reason and unless you will come up with 5.5 million, to cover my ….uh expenses, I will side a bit with Jerry and keep the team chemistry option out.

          • ken

Your mother and i talked about it and only she can call me kenny, fat ho took 3 attempts but i finally donkey punched that bitch, sooooo good, anyway lets look closer at the dallas players resumes shall we? Marion Barber ranked (he leads the league in fumbles by a reciever 4) 21st in rushing just behind baltimores Le'ron Mcclain, hes their fullback by the way, not their starting half back. TO ranked 28th in receptions with 69 13th in yards with just over a 1000, obviously not a top 10 wideout. One of the funnier stats though defense, spicifically points per game, they are TIED with cincinatti at 22.8, so another bottom half of the league area for them. Suffice it to say im not talking about chemistry or exastential ratings im just talking ratings based on stats the cowboys should be about an 87 overall…i would have also picked on roy williams but we all know that story so id get no points for originality…

  • KRIS

yea ur kinda right… but for me i thought it was great for about a week. then it got dry and overly repetitave. after playing it for a week i was seing the same four tackles and the same few animations over and over again. its gets old sir. and since this is "your" product can u tell us y there hasnt been an update in over two weeks and when we should expect one?

    • Mr.

  • KRIS

lets hear it for my eagles defense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW. ill admit our offense is stale as hell but that d is hot. yet its soooo underrated in madden. the whole LB corps needs some luv as well as quintin mikell, sheldon brown and of course brian dawkins. and i must ask ea y in gods name they have ken hamlin as the hardest hitting free safety????? i think everyone knows that that title belongs to dawkins and it needs to return….6 foced fumbles in the regular season……and 1 in the playoffs so far. most in the league by any safety

    • ken

Agreed 70% anyway dawkins needs a boost (98 i think) Im amazed you havent bitched about trent cole that guys about 5 weeks overdue for an upgrade, ill give moderate props to the lb corps AP did bust a big one though, sheldon brown dropped a pic so im not seeing an upgrade there, and as always im saying quintin mikell is over rated and needs a deduction he got beat 3 of his 7 tackles and i didnt see any tackles for a loss he was also slow on the blitz and unable to sack tavaris jackson, but the rest of the d really needs a boost inparticular cole and especially dawkins

      • KRIS

COULD U JUST NOT COMMENT ON MY STATEMENTS? cause ur just makin me mad. trent cole already got an update hes a 94…i'll take that considering that thats kinda high.did u really expect them to completley shut down AD??? even tho outside of that big run they did;19 rushes for 43 yds id say thats pretty good. and screw the dropped pics sheldon is a shutdown. u must be one of those guys who looks at pics and decides if a corner is good. u shouldnt do that(look at d hall). they only had 164 yds throwing the ball and only 90 of them were to recievers!!!!!!!!!!!!!nuff said. quintem mikells job was to basically shut down the t.e. he did that extremely well. and how in godz name would u kno that he got beat 3 out of 7 times or whatever???? u dont have the coaches tape u dont kno what play was called, stop trying to come up with off the wall stats and just shit that kno sports "fan" would kno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we will see what the giants offense without plax will do on the eagles d then ur hate can stop

        • ken

na i like educating people who have a poor grasp of the game, first off interceptions are difference makers and if you cant jump an easy 10 yard curl your not a "shutdown corner" secondly the reason i know he got beat 3 out of the 7 times, i watched on sunday ticket like all the other games, and i was rooting for the eagles before but now im hoping the giants win, just so i can watch dominic "no more practice squad" hixon beat an over rated corner and safety; eli is gonna rape the eagles secondary…again

also quintin mikell is still a bum, i use stats, game situations, and progressions to defend the point, you might debate your point a little better if you use facts instead of saying someones wrong and they dont know football just because they disagree with your point, it was fine when you were doing it to buffalo fans, cus lets face it trent edwards is not payton and lynch is not LT, but ive watched football for 20+ years, i know my shit. You also might wanna order sunday ticket so YOU know what your talking about…i assumed you were a "true" sports fan and already had it, aparently i was mistaken :)

          • Eli Manning

Don't be putting words in my mouth and writing checks my body has to cash Ken

          • ken

i hate that i have to root for you…i hope your acl tears…

          • Payton Manning

Why don't you try saying that garbabe to me! Ken you are a wannabe couldn't make the cut for pop warner huh? I bet you are 5'2 320 lbs and single. How far off am I 1 pound or 2? I bet if you ran a quarter of a lap you would tear every muscle in your body.

          • ken

Just like your accuracy in the snow, your way off :)

          • Archie Manning

If you mess with one of us you mess with us all. How bout I pay a little trip to your location so you can tell me face to face what you realy think of my family

          • ken

Your still bitter you never won a superbowl arent you?

          • SteelCurtain

If anything, I think you've been the one getting educated as of late Ken.

          • ken

            i have i learned 2 things:
            how to spell polamalu
you can never win a debate on here using stats, facts, and logic because when people cant defend the quantifiable they revert back to the classic "man hes a beast you dont know anything about football" when ive seen 90% of all the games this year and last in their entirety…but i find it entertaining when someone can defend their ratings judgements (at least partially) so kudos to you for that

          • SteelCurtain

I really am proud of you Ken. You learned how to spell Polamalu. For you, I'm sure that's quite an accomplishment. As for stats, I pretty much proved my point. Tackles alone make Polamalu>Reed. As I have said since I posted the stats from NFL.com, Reed simply can't get the job done by himself. Polamalu can tackle just about anyone in this league by himself. I don't think you can say the same for Reed, can you?You can go ahead and talk about the defensive touchdowns again, but I'll just have to remind you again that Polamalu SHOULD be tied in the regular season. All Reed has on Polamalu is returning abilities…which again…is why he's a punt returner. You know what I find entertaining though, after so many posts, you still haven't named your team. Unless I skipped it?

          • ken

you skipped it skins and pats but theres not point in debating it; Campbell wont get any recognition for being a top QB even if the better known names have 2-3 times the ints and worse qb ratings and your gonna say because he got blitzed he sucks and yada yada yada no point just not fun i know im right and the stats back me up so i dont want to debate it

    • Studd

        • SteelCurtain

As much as I hate it, if the Steelers don't make the AFC side of the Superbowl, I see the Ravens and Eagles. (Since Eli lost Burress the team hasn't been the same, soo I don't see them beating the Eagles)

I like the panthers in the nfc as well..but those 3 tough defenses in the AFC..its tough to pick between Pitt, Baltimore and Tennesee

      • SteelCurtain

Lol pick Steelers of course bro…You knew that was coming from me.

    • ken

landry is younger faster and healthier, niners need a boost especially shuan hill, thought toasts rating should go down (walt harris' nickname when he played for the skins was toast on account of him getting burned all the time)
