Madden 2010 Release Date

Retailers have started taking pre-orders for Madden 10 (cringing writing that) which has brought about the potential release date for the game being Tuesday August 11th. While this isn’t confirmed it does seem to be the likely. The second Tuesday in August has been the date for Madden 08 and 07. Prior to those it used to vary between the second or third week of the month. The game will be coming to the 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, DS and PS2.
Update: The game will be released on Friday August 14th

They should revamp superstar mode and franchise mode. On superstar mode for ps3, wen u start a new year, they say welcome to the league or something like that even if I hav been playin for 5 years. Also new questions for interviews, they hav the same ones since madden 06. For franchise do what they did in head coach. Put the 2 games together and it would b great

I am extremely fond of Madden 2009. I don't have too many problems with it. I love playing the Franchise with whoever won in the current season on Rookie (I'm still on Week 5). However, Wildcat, trick plays and importing old and new players from different rosters into a current Franchise would help tremendously. Go EA Sports!

For those saying nfl 2k sucked and thats why they dont make football games anymore is not true. 2k sports cant make another football game cause ea bought the rights. Hell, I saw a clip of nfl 2k5 and things in that game look more realistic than madden 09 at times! Not, graphics of how it looks but, how the players move and react.
Madden 09 is pretty good but, it has been basicly the same thing each year lately. They need to really focus on 2010…

I don't see what your problem with Madden is. It would be difficult to come out with a game yearly and constantly improve. And to those of you who say you have said before that you wouldn't buy the next one why did you? I do agree that they need to improve but they do as good as you can when you do the same game evey year.

first i think they need to fix a lot of the glitches such as having someone double tap a button on the snap and complete it almost everytime. I also would like to see more controls with the wide receivers such as being able to drag your feet. Also the challenge replays are pretty weak angles. The players movements are pretty robotic the offensive line is always doing the same thing as your other guys on the line come on thats not right. 1080 would be awesome maybe make some better grass on the field. Dont get me wrong i love the madden games but there is a lot of room for improvement. And will you make some play books already all the plays on the game are the same plays 8 year old boys do in pee wee

What i would like to see is the players days off. During the season and off season like playing golf and bowling or going to a bar, or a strip club like GTA. Like if a player eats to much like mike williams he has to lose the weight before he can play again.

franchise mode sucked ass its the best part of the game when you are alone playing and if your a nerd like me who has the time to sit down and play out a whole season. the character development was annoying. and nothing has been done about the rookie ratings they'll have a 99 rated speed and 69 acceleration that just pisses me off.
if things dont change i might not want madden this year.

Heres what the new madden needs
1.Not the MNF crew the NFLTA crew (dieon sanders, rich eisen, jamie dukes, or rod woodson)
2.Weather changes and more realistic weather the snow never completely whitens the field
3.Onfield refs and the chaingang
4.realistic movements particularly why does the qb when running look like a constapated fat ass jogging
5.Blocking fullbacks in running game and blocking backs in passing game instead of just watching qb get sacked

9.although the touchdown celebrations are good now i think that they dont need to be selective there are two players i can think of off the bat that have the personalized celebration TO and Randy Moss and anyone can do TO's but only Randy can do the you got mossed which is good because he should be the only one to do it but there should be more such as chad johnson and his antics maybe give him his jacket or so
10.REALISTIC CROWDS it always seems like the crowd always gets the news late in madden ex. randy moss catches a 60 yard pass and is running to the end zone crowds reaction:………….mumbles…………… he croses the goal line touchdown crowd reaction: they cheer. realsiticly the crowd would've been cheering when moss caught the pass not just when he crossed the plane

12.how about some knowledge about the players stats like they will talk about peyton manning tom brady randy moss TJ Housmanzadeh but they dont talk about players like Drew Brees arguably one of the best quaterbacks playing and yet they talk about players like carson palmer and they also dont ever talk about defensive players
13. knowledge about when the season ends on franchise the comentators will keep the stats from last season and add on to them in the playoffs and the next season well 2000 yards for marques colston certainly playing better than you chris

25.player progression in franchise mode is horrible if say a receiver catches 101 passes for say 1200 yards and like 12+ touchdowns and he is rated 72 at the end of the season u know what maddens progression has him rated yea 72

27. the game AI is horrible in franchise and offers no competion whatsoever
28. those little clutch/rivalry games madden made last year are irelevant they had a good idea going but they are no harder than any other games
29.in superstar mode there should be real simulated interviews instead of a multiple choice test thing
30.back to the super bowl in madden 09 i noticed if u won 2 or 3 superbowls they just stopped counting and also i am deeply disappointed with the super bowl it is like a regular game there is no hype to it or anything that desperately needs to be changed

I think they need to make the blocking more realistic…In 09 sometimes the QB can sit in the pocket for ever . and when you blitz .. the O-Line picked it up way to fast

My favorite madden is 07 because its got everything down pat…the 1 handed catches good franchise superstar is O.K. and when ur 20 years into a franchise the players are like how they would normally be not all 99's or all 70's. The draft thing again is amazing with doing drills to see there skills or reports. But its annoying to find a guy running a 4.35 with a 88 speed…only problem GO PACK GO i will defenetly get madden 2010 cause i know the franchise will kick @$$

what can i say just rent Madden and stop giving ea and peter moore 64 dollars that they dont deserve.At the end of the day with its many flaws 2k5 is still better than madden. First person football is a blast to play.If Ea was confident in their product they would let us return it within 48hrs if we werent satisfied and get store credit for another game.Nba live is bad, ncaa basketball is bad, madden just dose not feel like football. Stop reading magazines that rate madden over an 75, Every year a few website and mags rate madden 100 regardless of how bad that it is.Ea, Bestbuy, Gamepro , espn , gamestop,are all sleeping together and trying to convince you that madden is what it will never be…and thats a great football game.

madden needs to feel more 3d, when running the ball, the field perspective needs to change to make you feel like you are running downhill or through actual holes that you can see from the corner of your eye.no more 60 yards field goals by average kickers, no qb's completing more than 65% of his passes. more incompletes,no more hitstick fumblems, madden has become hom fast you can touch a button and remembering cheats, it almost feels like a bad fighting game..now its time to play mlb the show 09

I think that madden 2010 they should make it more realistic and fun to play. Especially for the PS2 and the XBOX. I get bored playing it, that I just turn it off 3 games into the season. Like a lot of people said; madden 2010 should have officials, it should make them more active. Also, I wanna see the monday or sunday night crew on Madden. Not just hear them talk. -Also, yeah cheerleaders should be on the game and the fans should be shown cheering for their teams. Also, i wanna feel like I'm actually in a football game playing not just knowing that I'm playing a video game.

Also, I want to see the coaches actually throwin the challenge flags and the officials actually throwing a penalty flag. Also, make challenges realistic and fair. There's plays on madden that when you challenge them they dont make the right call. Just make the game funner and when you make it to the superbowl and im saying this for PS2 and XBOX during the firsr kickoff do those flashing lights that you usuallly see during the superbowl. Make the sunday night crew happier and excited when a big play happens.

I really hope they change the button modes back to the older one in Madden 2010 for the PSP, I like the X being the running and not the R, it just felt wierd and the graphics should be better, the people in the game run like they have a stick up their butt

Iv been wondering for some time now if madden will have all the face masks. NCAA has most of them but madden has nothing. People with certain face masks dont get the face masks they hav because madden doesnt have it.

You know what I would love to see. I full espn broadcast and halftime show. And at the end of the season say you just went 19-0. A superbowl celebration would be great instead of the same old arms going up and you win message displayed on the mega screen and then the game just ends. No celebrations for the any of that stuff. Here is hoping that Madden can make us say wow like we did when ESPN 2K5 came out. If you play that game then you would understand why I say Superbowl celebrations.

Madden is and will continue to be bad because it sells.EA is not going to spend the time and money to make it better because they know that people need their Madden like a drug. Madden players are zombies and defend their product every year along with a few game magazines that rate the game 100 regardless of how poor that it is. A few reasons to return Madden day one….If you need a patch to fix something (they have been doing this for to long to release an unfinished product )…Lack of halftime show featuring the best plays and players of the half….lack of custom soundtracks…..lack of alternate game jerseys….players having the wrong skin color and not having their real faces…not being able to move the DL by tapping them
with a linebacker before the snap…lack of real game penalties at that you can actually see and plays that you can actually challenge….65 yards Fg by average kickers…hitstick fumbles….players running out of bounds with open field in front of them….superman diving catches….RBs not behaving realistically ie: placing a hand down to keep balance, picking up the blitz,jumping over downed players, DL getting stuck in
animation with the OL, players not talking trash to one another, lack of player control of cornerbacks…I WANT TO PLAY BUMP AND RUN AND CONTROL THE CORNER WITHOUT THE CPU RUNNING HIM IN THE WRONG DIRECTION ….IF players do not tire realistically and the game ships without custom views and
game sliders return at once and demand a refund from EA SPORTS

I will spend two weeks updating my 2K5 rosters and laughing at people talking about how sweet Madden 2011 will be. EA man up and start from scratch and stop trying to fix a greatly flawed product…just look at need for speed, NCAA march madness, NBA live, EA needs to hire new dev teams with new ideas…it is a shame when you know in your heart that games are bad and you release them anyway….It took 3patches for NCAA 09 to be playable….

Madden is like internet explorer people use it and know that mozilla is better. 2K5 was not perfect;however, people still play it and the general game play is better than Madden's has been to date. 2k released for $19.99
and introduced the world to 1st person football and flawless online play, reasons why it will forever be better than madden. Two completely different game experiences in one package for twenty bucks!!!!!!!!! I dont believe Peter Moore or Ian Cummings ever played in the NFL and this is the reason that their product has no life, it feels like a video game instead of feeling like a NFL experience .MLB the SHOW 09 feels GREAT!!!, NBA 2k9 has its moments, madden just feels incomplete,boring,lacking imagination. Cone vision passing, hitsticks, are gimmicks . We need gameplay not gimmicks.Ps1 gameday comes out, madden is so bad that EA dose not release it, 2k5 comes out for 20bucks and EA buys the exclusive NFL rights, EA dose not handle competition well because they refuse to change for the better, instead of fixing they repaint and touch up.NFL 2k released on the dreamcast and Madden ran for cover.EA made a deal with sony not to release madden on the dreamcast and that caused a great system to go belly up.Remember nba live on the ps1 vs nba shootout. It showed that EA sports was and is lazy. It is getting boring. Use the MLB the Show graphics. Make it more realistic. They run stiff, theres no bobble catches, it looks fake. There definetly weren't 85 new features on 09. Get some new stuff. If the game has to cime out later for us to get the best madden ever then im all for it

They need to include some form of weekly highlight show, like 2k5, or even bring back the Tony Bruno show!!! The graphics are cool but other than that the superbowl show is weak!!! And they need to show some form of celebration when teams win their division, like back in the day, in tecmo superbowl!! It seems like madden is getting so waterdown, ever since they bought the rights to the nfl. If 2k was still making nfl games, madden would be steping it up!!!Competion always brings out the best…
