Madden 2010 Release Date

Retailers have started taking pre-orders for Madden 10 (cringing writing that) which has brought about the potential release date for the game being Tuesday August 11th. While this isn’t confirmed it does seem to be the likely. The second Tuesday in August has been the date for Madden 08 and 07. Prior to those it used to vary between the second or third week of the month. The game will be coming to the 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, DS and PS2.

Things I want to see in the next iteration of Madden:

1) User created playbooks
2) Classic teams (ala Madden 93)
3) All uniforms ever worn and done accurately
4) Classic stadiums
5) Changing weather conditions during the game
6) Return of dynamic lighting
7) In-game highlights from around the league Okay, I give….refs and chain gangs
9) Multiple play-by-play commentators (include MNF crew)…
10) Fix uniform issues (i.e. Pitt's single digit number placement on helmets; add blue ID tape to Cowboys' helmets, etc.)

Overall, I have had a lot of fun with Madden 09.

The sad thing is, some of those were in former maddens, but they never seem to stay in place. I remember just a few years ago I was running my own plays (granted the old playmaking system didn't allow for anything too fun or creative) , and seeing score updates from around the league, which isn't much, but it at least added to the realism. And I think they had tons of classic teams and uniforms available to use.

Please fix superstar mode as well, or abolish it. I personally think that is one of the most boring and poorly put together aspects in the game. I can barely get through half a season of that garbage.

I cannot believe that EA took out the play creator. Although I didn't use the feature much it would allow users to create plays, such as the Wildcat. The feature would add much replayability to the game not to mention if you allowed the created plays in online play, you could see some craziness….

Hey Pasta may you ask the madden team how they can justify the Dallas Cowboys having the highest team rating in the game when they didn't even make the playoffs? In fact the top two teams in Madden; Dallas & New England didn't make the playoffs and another Indy lost in the 1st round. Will they give massive upgrades to Atlanta, Miami & Philly (I know that Atl & Mia lost in the 1st round but at least they made it unlike Dal & NE)?

FULL ESPN BROADCAST with scoreboards and everything (2k did it back when they had the espn license, so EA has no excuse!!)

Jumbotrons with video from the field (get rid of the stupid 3d overlay things)

More real grass (call of duty style) so when players step on it it gets crushed.

FULL HD 1080P!! not just upconverted 720!!

this game is an insult to my 72" samsung 1080p TV!!

Also, less robotic player movements. its funny how the offensive line gets set up synchronized every play. the players need to have more human movements.

Running animations need to be more human looking. Players wobble around when they run, they don't just run with their hands going up and down like robots. Madden needs to go back and start fresh and redo all of the animations.

2.Chain gangs(For Superstar mode, remove the yellow line, and adjust the camera view so we can see where the first down marker is.)
3.Fix Fuckin Franchise Mode!
a. You can be fired for bad performance, and be rehired to a new team, provided you promise to fill a certain amount of goals.
b. You can actually SEE the prospects you draft, talk to each of them, get their measurables LIVE.
c.Press conferences, Reporters TOUGH questions after bad perfomances….pay Increases for good ones.

the bottomline is that if all this was possible on ps2 and xbox in NFL 2k5 and even some features in EA's own ps2 version of madden today, then its possible in 360 and PS3, there is no excuse. my list is possible and it can be done with a little effort.

Yeah, I'm hoping they continue to release it for the original system. My buddy and I play that game and just update rosters. TIP: If you wanna create a rookie, you can draft a free agent at their position that looks like them even, and adjust, edit their attributes as you see fit. Thats' what I did, since I can play that game with just a handful of teams and don't really care to play an entire season. I just want a realistic matchup, even if it is with a small number or roster accurate teams. I read that the NFL license requires EA to put it out for every system. They probably don't promote it since they want to sell PS3 and 360 copies for $10 more. But there are easily several million Xboxes that still get played regularly, so it would be dumb of EA to stop knowing that they only need to update rosters and a lot of folks would still buy it. I've been getting the original copies for the last 5 years since the 360 version always pales in terms of playability and immersion. I assume you agree, especially the hit stick is so much more effective in the og version.

I am extremely fond of Madden 2009. I don't have too many problems with it. I love playing the Franchise with whoever won in the current season on Rookie (I'm still on Week 5). However, Wildcat, trick plays and importing old and new players from different rosters into a current Franchise would help tremendously. Go EA Sports!
