In addition to the earlier post announcing the upcoming MLB 09 The Show community event, a new set of screenshots for the game have been released. They can be found in the screenshot gallery and feature the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets.

I’ll have a posting within the next week or so to begin taking suggestions on things to look for at the community event. Also make sure to sign up and follow me on Twitter as I’ll be doing quick updates throughout the trip.

is it wrong of me to want ryan braun to line a ball off zambrano's kneecap then ricochet and hit ramirez ankle, thus breaking both?? Just wondering haha

Not sure yet on what we'll be restricted from doing. I think I might be able to do a live blog at least, and maybe a podcast or two out of it. Videos seem less likely to me but I'll find out when it gets closer to the event.

Pasta — can you do a huge favor and find out about the wrong color walls at CitiField — This is a major issue and I cannot believe Sony is using these incorrect images in order to promote the game

And did you see the color of the shoelaces??? I can't believe they got the shading wrong! And what's with the blue shirt on that girl in the third row of the stands??? How could they miss that?!?!That's the last straw, I'm not buying this game.

            Almost funny, but no.

To have an entire stadium wrong like that takes away from the game.

I guess it would be ok if the "Green Monster" in Fenway was blue as well?

The walls will be blue. The seats will be green. and exposed metal structures will be dark blue.

The initial sketches/renderings of CitiField were blue walls, but they changed those up and decided to go with a darkgreenish/grey padding on the walls.

I really hope MLB 09 The Show can update this before release.

So I did find out no videos or pictures of the game will be allowed. I think that most everything will be open for discussion though, so detailed reports, podcasts, and maybe even a live blog from the scene sound like they may come out of it.

Did you really just compare the accuracy of the outfield wall color of the new Mets ball park that HASN'T EVEN OPENED YET to the Green Monster, which has been green since 1947? Really?
