The NBA Live 09 website has just added a widget that will display the DNA of any player in the NBA. The DNA will be updated daily on the site so that it is always current. The data that is provided is fascinating to look through and analyze as an NBA fan and now being able to do so on the web instead of having to fire up NBA Live 09 makes it much more convenient. This is just the basic DNA layout though and there is much more that can be found by going through the game.
Hopefully someday they’ll provide the ability to compare a player’s current DNA to their DNA from any previous date to see how they have changed over time or due to specific circumstances. Ultimately it would be great to have that along with any streaks, tendency or ratings changes displayed on the website as well.

Yeah, I don't think the details are coming until tomorrow. They'll have a podcast along with it too. Update still planned to be out on Friday.

Hey Pasta, will the update include teams not in the playoffs?
January 7, 2009 at 7:43 am
I can't believe Live is still around…NBa 2k series took over from 2k-2k3 and 2k6-current

Keyon Dooling is missing
January 7, 2009 at 9:12 am
Wow, who really cares seriously.
Pasta still pimps this game even though it is a far inferior product to 2K9.
But ya know, who actually cares about gameplay or anything like that. . . .
January 8, 2009 at 12:47 pm
i dont see anything about gameplay having to do with a post about a feature that people find valuable. this is something we can check out without even having to own the game

Fanboys make the world go round!
January 8, 2009 at 4:15 am
The 2k fanboys makes me smile knowing they have a loving caring mother who thinks the world of them.
awww.

Live IMO is actually better and more fun than 2k this year…DNA is very useful and effective when you play the game…I've played more LIVE this year than any previous year…and this is coming from a dude who almost always played 2k…2K is stale, old etc….But these 2k fanboys are a riot hatin.
At the end of the day if you don't like or care about LIVE…Why even waste your time hatin???…Peace
Ya boy online @ GT: Gubmntcheez

Ga Kobe looks so retarded in tha pic
January 8, 2009 at 12:05 pm
The only good thing about Live 365 is it changes the lineups but this whole DNA thing is so useless no one uses it everyone when they play it is all just spot up post up or isolation and they dont even change the player ratings enough to do anything. 2K9 doesnt do it every day but at least their updated ratings are more accurate and actually change players ratings accurately unlike NBA Live who changes stuff like Offensive Rebound footwork +3 or Hands on Perimeter +6…wow
January 9, 2009 at 1:54 am
some people want to take any chance to bash live. even here where pasta didnt say anything about it as a game but just focused on some good news about a cool feature that anyone can check out
January 9, 2009 at 8:05 am
See Pasta started this by ranking live ahead of Nba 2k9!!!
