Videos Of New Stadiums In MLB 09 The Show

For those who got to see the leaked video a while back it was exciting to get a glimpse of the new Yankee Stadium as represented in MLB 09 The Show. SCEA has now presented MTV with a video tour of the stadium. Also now added is the Mets new Citi Field. Needless to say they look fantastic. Continue on to watch the videos and leave your thoughts in the comments.

The new Yankee Stadium was constructed, like many stadiums built for “MLB 09: The Show,” pretty much by one person, artist Kevin Weinstein. “MLB 09″ producer Jody Kelsey, a life-long Yankee fan, said each stadium takes a couple of months to be built.

Pasta, there is one for Citi Field as well. However, it still has the walls of the stadium as being blue, when they are dark green in real life. When you go for your hands-on, can you let me know if they have fixed this or plan on fixing this after release? Seems like a major overlook

These vids are outrageous. The music is great and adds to the visuals. The lighting was awesome. Not to mention David Wright's HR off the facing of the upper deck and bouncing back onto the field.

These new stadiums are beautiful but I hope that SCEA has plans to include classic stadiums, such as Tigers Stadium.

Pasta, any news on whether the game will have the following:

1) Weather effects (clouds, at least)
2) Classic teams
3) Choice of jersey during career mode
4) Cold weather attire
5) Pitchers wearing jackets on base paths
6) More players in dugouts
7) Rainouts

Everything looks the same as '08 to me except for the lighting and the stadiums….pitching deliveries and batter swings still don't look right…. CC's delivery is terrible… Santana's delivery looks like he throws like a girl…kinda pushing the ball…they really need to upgrade the obvious animations! I really am not that impressed by what I saw based on all the hype…who knows, maybe 2K will surprise us this year.

If 2k where to surprise "us" they would have done it a long time ago, I own a PS3 and a 360 and honestly I look foward for MLB 09 than 2k9, MLB 09 has delived every year, unline 2k that only made a comeback on 2k7 when they improved the graphics, but as far of gameplay and realism, MLB 09 is the best game. if you want more realism than that, GO TO A FREAKIN' BASEBALL GAME THEN!!!

I began playing Sony's version (MLB 07) after playing 2K6's effort and I noticed a very huge gap. I'll admit I haven't played a 2K baseball game since, so I don't know how much 2K has closed the gap but I haven't been tempted to give it a try, MLB does too many things the right way.

2K seems to be in the business of recycling in regards to all of its sports games, which is sad because I once considered 2K an innovation leader.

The Show for the PS2 plays better than any 2K on the PS3 or 360….

2k hasn't made an NFL game in 5 years and you want to count All Pro FB 2k8 then that game was a piece of crap, However they do make a decent basketball game though I think they have certainly plateaued. NBA Live series has the freshest ideas and the live 360 is awesome. All sports games should use this model for updating teams and players.

Man, the frieze on the new Yankee Stadium looked incredible. This video made me laugh because of how beautiful the new designs look. Yankee Stadium looks like it has been created to its full potential, and so does CitiField, but they need to change the walls to green in CitiField, they arent blue. Other than that, I can see why 2K Sports producers will be shedding tears once again this baseball season, because you cant beat what you just saw in this video. I hope they don't pull a Madden and show all the love to the Yankees like they do to the Cowboys. They need to show some love for the city of brotherly love and the 2008 World Champions Philadelphia Phillies!

ok i haven't played mlb of any show but from looking at those videos i wasn't so impressed despite the great design and realism of the stadium(ball bounce of facing) mlb the show just seems so fake and cartoon like. it kind of reminds me of slugfest ya thats right slugfest. i will wait and see i have played all 2k mlb games and 2k8 wasnt bad it was just choppy thats all. their animations and movements are better. i will probably buy 2k9 just because they finally figureed out they need to step up. if they bust i will probably buy a ps3 and mlb the show but thats only if it is worse then 2k8 which i just dont see

The game actually looks better when playing it. The videos do not do it justice. The faces are detailed and the jerseys don't flop all over the place.

There are some things that I would like Sony to add and hopefully they respond. Outside of that, the game is fluid and zoom at 60 FPS. Not to mention the way the players react to certain elements. It looks beyond real….

Well if you are using Vista 64 then you need to ensure that you are using the 32bit internet explorer vice the 64bit browser. Currently Adobe Flash doesn't work on the 64bit Internet explorer.
