Last week I contributed on a piece at 360sync.com on who appears to be the top candidates for the Madden 2010 cover on the defensive side of the ball. You can check that out here.
With 3 on 3 NHL Arcade coming to XBL on February 4th (and presumably the next day for PSN) there have been a handful of hands-on previews. I’m hoping to be able play it and give my impressions and post some videos prior to release also. In the meantime check out the previews at Gamespot and IGN.
While 2K hasn’t provided many details about the soon to release MLB Front Office Manager they did hold a media event at the end of last week. Unfortunately with that won’t come the details people are looking to hear about but instead more general themes about the game will now be more widespread. You can check out one of the write-ups from this event here.
I previously posted the OS hands-on preview for The Show as well as the (somewhat frustrating) producer interview regarding online play. Emerging from that media event some other outlets have begun to post their previews of the game. You can check out Gamespy’s here. Don’t forget to leave anything you’re hoping to find out about the game for when I sit down for it at the end of the week.

I refuse to refer to it as that, yes that was intentional. Its interesting cause I forwarded on the info of the poll to EA where 92% of people voted for something else (mostly 2010). Not only that but google hits to my site come in 4X higher for 2010s than 10s for the various games. People are going to identify this year with 2010, and hopefully EA recognizes that and changes it.
I agree that EA should go to the Roman Numerals…Nothing screams football more than the Roman Numerals. Actually, that is how I learned how to read the Roman Numerals, from the Super Bowl. Ahh, public school education…
The cover depends on who wins the Super Bowl.
If the Steelers win, it's Polamalu. If the Cardinals do, it's Fitzgerald (who was also on the cover of NCAA one year).
Now that i think about it if they really want to appeal to more people they should put Tony Romo on the cover with the new Cowboy''s stadium in the background highlight it with "America's Team" and Madden 2010. That is a surefire way to get millions more in sales. I was looking at the numbers and looking at the tape and noticed that all Cowboy's games home and away were sold out. But the other 3 I mentioned D. Ware, T. Polamalu and T. Newman would be good choices too albeit lower sales figures.
lol that guy on the picture doesnt look like #43 Troy Polamalu. he doesnt look intimidating like that in real life. looks like James is backing off from Troy. GO STEELERS!
I third that. I have stated it numerous times….EA could put Mickey Mouse on the cover if the game is good people will buy it (even if it's bad, people will as well)…

So are you going to continue ignoring the "Madden 10" title like the rest of us Padre, or was that just a slip up?

BRIAN DAWKINS! The heart and soul of not only the Philadelphia Eagles, but also the entire National Football League.

Not to mention one of the most dirty tacklers in the game of football. It's always helmet to helmet with him

And you know this how? You have seen his face while approaching a receiver?
January 26, 2009 at 9:10 pm
That doesn't look like troy polamalu my friend has a picture with him. That looks like a moronic 5 year old

No one buys a game anymore because of who is on the box. It's a myth.
January 26, 2009 at 11:36 am
Exactly. Madden is Madden, people know that.
