I was very shocked when January rolled around and suddenly all my star players OVR dropped drastically and I had a really crappy team. Trade for players that are supposed to help and then they change to a 20 OVR. Since the potential only shows up on players 24 or younger, then you never know who is going to go up or down.

Maybe there's a bit more hope for a patch since this is 2K's marquee license; with all the $$$$ they spend for the MLB license, they would seem to have a bit more incentive to get a new title such as this working as good as possible.

Then again, they already have my $40, and the lack of quality in 2K baseball titles and customer service is what drove me to buy a PS3 and The Show in the first place.

Everyone erase C:MLB Front Office Managerdatacontrolspadmap.txt

This will allow you to actually use the Keyboard LoL

Only Xbox 360 Controller is allowed for use PC

Ranking : 5.5/10 *
+ 2x Sim Speed
+ Good PiP catches and angles shown
+ CPU offers alot of Trades
+ CPU does alot of moves FA
+ Depth in Scouting
+ Good timing this is when ESPN has a little buzz about big FAs and player moves
+ Japan World and Latin Scouting Depth

- that bunting issue
-lack of game play management
- way to simple allignments and defensive adjustments
- Japan is way to expensive to scout indepth over there

*Only played for 20 Hours not full review

Thanks Pasta, you've got industry knowledge and experience that I don't. It pains me to think they wouldn't patch games, it looks bad on them. I'm willing to buy a game like this if its a work-in-progress. But not fixing a game at all would lead me to not buy next year's edition.

Ill be surprised if they work on a patch for this game. 2K hasn't done them for their other off-shoot titles and even skipped over having one for a more major one in NHL 2K9.

I think the game is decent as well. I agree drilling down on player ratings is excruciatingly painful. I have been disappointed also by the manage mode (which I love in these type games). My disappointment surrounds the inability to do simple things like check speed rating for opponents runners on base, or see opponents batter data. Also have seen 2 bugs so far (in-game). Alexei Ramirez hits a shot to LCF and trys for two, my SS has the ball in hand a good 20ft before Ramirez arrives, yet he is safe! Also at the end of the game Billingsley got the W even though he left after 4 innings with the game tied. He as also dead tired after those 4 innings. I also wished there were more close up views of the action (grounders, gappers, etc.). Here's hoping they can and will patch the game as I believe it has some potential. Still can't touch OOTP though! :-)

One bug I do not like, I signed Jonathan Broxton to be my premiere closer and he has never entered a game that has been simmed. It appears anyone you deem as your closer does not come in during simmed games. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Pasta anywhere we can post thoughts to 2k to see if any type of patch may be forthcoming?

That's disappointing, since I'm a fanatic. I'm still thinking about trying the game out though.
