First News on Madden 2010

The first news relating to Madden 2010 was to be announced at halftime of the Super Bowl on the brand new EA Sports Community Blog. That announcement has come and centers around discussion of new technology in the game and specifically “Procedural Awareness”.

It is my pleasure to introduce Madden’s newest piece of technology, one that is also shared within many of the EA SPORTS games, called Procedural Awareness. What is it? We’ll you’ve likely heard of “head tracking” with IK. If you haven’t, it’s a way to turn the players head around to face a target dynamically, without the need for canned animations. Well, think of Procedural Awareness (PA for short) as the “next-gen” version of head tracking. Since it is so early in the year, unfortunately I can’t show you any videos of it running in the game, but I can show some “tech demos” of sorts

The ratings need a total overhaul. No player should be rated 99 in any category, this indicates near perfection and even the most accurate QB's throw incompletions. The best player should have at the most a 90 in their significant category, this allows for the player to get batter if you play as them and do well.

So if this is new technology about a guy following the ball and not being able 2 pick it off if he cant see it. Then its bogus and stupid. Im sorry but EA is jus adding stuff that they were supposed 2 fix YEARS ago, theres no way a guy should ever block or int somethn he cant see. Thats jus not realistic. Oh yea i 4got EA doesnt go for realism nor gameplay for that matter but this is all we got so im forced 2 buy it cus i love football/redskins

I hope that this affects the offensive line also. I get so frustrated when I blitz and a guard from the right block a LB or safety blitzing outside on the left. He could never see it and that would never happen.
