MLB 09 The Show Demo Out Tomorrow

I have received confirmation from SCEA that the PS3 demo for MLB 09 The Show is expected to be out tomorrow February 5th. Generally PSN updates at around 3pm PT. The demo is four innings long and features a rematch of the World Series with the Tampa Bay Rays at the Philadelphia Phillies. As mentioned in my community preview write-ups the demo is based on a month old build but it should be a fair representation of what to expect with the final product.

I’ll try to get up a few videos of the demo in the evening and point out some things that may have been fixed or improved upon in the near final build that I played last week vs what the demo offers. Also look for the second set of screenshots from the community preview event to be posted late tonight.

    That would be b/c you are looking at a static screen shot for starters and lastly 2k cant make baseball games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    They are a one trick pony (basketball). You have 4 options here as I see it:
    1) Go out and buy a PS3 and play the best baseball game there is
    2) Waste yet another 60$ on a piece of crap game in MLB2k9
    3) Really waste 60$ on a complete piece of crap like MLB: front office manager
    4) Just don't buy any baseball games and wallow in your own tears for another year.

    hey, i just recently got a PS3 and have never used it online or to download anything… how would one go about d-loading this demo?

      The demos are free. You have to sign in on-line at the playstation home page and get the demo from there:) They are saying it should be up by 6:00 PM EST on 2/5. But you may not download till later becuase I am sure the servers will be jammed and dependant upon your connection as well. PLAY BALL!!!

    Yeah, if want the Killzone 2 demo you have to go to GameStop and reserve it. You will get a card with a code that unlocks the demo (beta).

    I just re-purchased COD4 for the PS3 and I am kind of liking the online play as I don't have to pay for it (although Live is the sheeeet). Home still sucks, however….

    I just checked and The Show demo is not yet available. Sony needs to get in the game and update its Store early just as Live does. Ludicrisp!!
