Madden 10 To Have Some New Stat Categories

Over the past couple years there has been some disappointment over how certain stats weren’t being tracked in Madden. The two main ones have been half sacks and assisted tackles. This obviously isn’t being made out to be any sort of big announcement, but Madden 2010 will have these stats included. So while this week’s info doesn’t have the same punch as the one about the shift in ratings philosophy it does go to show another community request that has made it into the game.

After talking about technology and philosophy for the past few weeks, we thought it was a good idea to actually show you a new feature this week. Now being that it’s so early in the year, we obviously can’t show big grandiose new features, so we wanted to show something that is in the game that came directly from community feedback and wishlists.

Looks like Madden is taking notice. These should have been added a long time ago. They should also re-add a lot of the additions they had before that they took out. Do you know if they will re-add anything Pasta? I personally like the QB vision and the individual personalities.

It's just nice to see a company take notice of what the customer wants. With so much focus and debate recently about MLB 2K9, it's great to get news like this from EA Sports. I wish 2K would treat their customers the same way, it's really a shame that they don't care. I'm proud of EA Sports. As small as this new addition is, it's still something that the fans have been asking for. Thanks to EA Sports for taking notice of this and deciding to listen. Good work EA Sports.

I love how EA gets love for something that should've been in the game for years.

This could also mean that they are creating a more realistic AI that will consistently assist on tackles instead of just occasionally assisting.

Either way, I hope they fix the assisted tackles where another guy comes and throws the ball carrier forward, particularly over the goal line, or negates an attempt to strip the football.

well atleast they are starting to pay attention to some small details. stats is a good place to start. what about stats for cornerback like ball defended???? pasta keep the decent info coming along!
