Having received my copy of MLB 09 The Show on Saturday afternoon I worked to make sure I could at least get up some videos and a handful of screenshots. Further coverage in the way of impressions, online play thoughts, a deeper look at some features and more videos and screens will come beginning Sunday night.

Awesome are you going to post another Pasta RTTS? I want to see how great it is this year! I'm hyped up for this game although I only have an Xbox 360 (boo 2k9) and Ps2. And are you getting MLB 2K9 this year??????

I never realized a great the crowd looks…The screen with Papi….Looks awesome…I know that they have some similar models but it looks like there is more of a variant compared to last year….
Also, Griffey's face looks spot on….

One thing that is kind of cool is that there is a guy wearing a Yankee jersey at Fenway…Now we only need to see fans pelt him with soda…..That has to be a first in any game….
Also, Griffey's face looks spot on….

I agree man, the crowd looks SICK. i was a little nervous when playing the demo, because there were a lot of clipping issues with the crowd coming through the walls and stuff, but after watching these vids and screens, my fears have subsided. it looks amazing with a packed house…..i can only hope that they have the rally towel during the postseason for the phills….

Position Player fatigue in franchise mode — can you investigate this for us?
We shouldn't have to be sitting out star players twice a week because they are tired. Most stars only take one or two games off for the entire season (unless they get hurt).
DId they add the ability to shut that fatigue of this year, or maybe a slider to adjust the rate of fatigue? They have one for pitchers, don't see why they just can't add one for position players.

This was answered for them at the community event. Basically the players will show that they're tired but its based on durability rating. It wont affect the players much to actually play them through that but injuries become more likely.

Pasta I am looking forward to your online thoughts as well as franchise and RTTS. I was really excited about this game, but it online is broken. That really hurts a lot. I may just wait for the Bigs 2. Looking forward to your thoughts . Are you going to be posting similar things for 2k9? Thanks man. I love how you always show the Tigers. The crowds should all be packed with blue when the Cubs are on the road, like in real life.

Can I get a game 7 of the World Series between the Yankees and Mets with bases loaded and Jeter up to the plate with the Yanks down 1 in the bottom of the 9th with an 0-2 count? Just kidding, but I am curious to the uploading sounds into the game and how you do it… buy the mic for PS3?

pretty much, if you have any type of microphone that works with the ps3, then you can use it for this game. you can use the singstar or rockband mic, a bluetooth, the playstation eye, etc. I'm sure the quality varies depending on the device, but I think this is a pretty neat feature for the game, can't wait to hear "let's go big man!" when ryan howard's hitting and "A-Roid" when i play the yanks

Is it possible to pick off a CPU runner at first? I mean from pitcher to first not from catcher to first? People who played the demo sayed they picked off BJ upton a few times. I can never pick anyone off? Has anyone else have success?

I've had sucess a couple times… out of the 30 times I've thrown to first with my pitcher in the demo I probably got the runner about 4 times. I'll be damned if I let the runner take a huge lead off of first!

I guess they didn't have Adam Dunn on the Nats roster yet? Also, I like the updates to Nats' Park, however, whats up with all the "Ax Men" billboards all over the scoreboards? Did SCEA take a page out of 2K9's book of over advertising?
Anyways, the game looks great, can't wait until Tuesday.

sweeet!!!! got a vid of my padres up there. HOw did they play in the game? How did Adrian and Heath Bell play in the game also? Heath Bell was way too underrated in last years game.

You really see the difference in batters taking the first pitch in this game. Looks really nice, real crisp lighting. I still have issue with the player models, and the way the ball looks coming out of their hand. It looks very artificial.
Pasta, thanks for the videos. This is the closest I've come to getting a PS3, and I'm going to wait to see if it drops in price. If so, I'll give it a shot. I just don't see any longevity in both the PS3 and BlueRay.

Pasta, I'd love to see the A's at Giants in HD too. Although I loved MLB The Show 08, I didn't really care for the way AT&T Park looked. I'm hoping they've upgraded it this year to look a little more realistic.

I don't know what other people think, but Im really liking the look of the new generic stance {in the video there's a couple of Twins players with it}. I mean that has got to be about the only generic stance I've ever liked in a basebal game.

For the people that already have the game (besides Pasta of course), how did you get it? I have my copy pre-ordered at Game Stop and I've been told it won't be out until Tuesday.
