Online playing will never be that great for the reason that you get these people that pitch every pitch out of the strike zone. I know what your going to say, dont swing! but who really wants to sit there and take every pitch?? I mean you guys are using all star pitchers for the most part, try to strike the batter out with out pitching a ball 10 feet out of the zone or bouncing one in the dirt everythime

The historic players are unlocked by default.

Pasta, can you ask Sony about doing historic old time stadiums? I would pay extra for those, Are there old time players this year? They need to be able to be unlocked more easily for people who dont have the time to do the full game to unlock those. I would rather just pay extra for them or get a free code.

hey pasta another think u know those mlb the show leagues? have u ever done one and do u know anything abt them i was goin 2 commish 1 but it said i must wait 2 weeks to be qualified?

Pasta: First off I live in Hawaii which is as far as you can get for us N. American Players. MLB 07 and 08 were 99.9% of the time unplayable for me even if i were playing a local game. The pitch meter was so laggy that you could NEVER EVER hit the line on the pitch meter. The batting animation was so laggy that the ball would be in the catchers glove and suddenly you had hit the ball which really throws you off on defense.

This year I have played 6 games online. 3 on the East coast Lobby and 3 in the west coast lobby. I am happy to report that ALL SIX GAMES were Very Good, not perfect like Offline play but very close.

The pitch meter was smooth as silk and the batting animations were near perfect. If I were to rate my online experience to date I would rate MLB 07 and 08 a wopping Zero, while giving MLB 09 a solid 8.5 – 9.0.

I would be careful pasta in your assessment of this games online abilities. Remember if you had at least 1 game online where the experience was good or great then the game is capable. Other factors external to the game could be at fault for poor online experiences. For me 08 and 07 were purely unplayable games online. That was a certainty. This year all my games have been great so there is no doubt that they have made monumental strides in the right direction.
