First Madden 10 Screenshot

Peter Moore has just released the first screenshot from Madden 10 on his blog. More than just being excited for the first look at the game there are several new additions that can be identified from it. Hand towels, on-field referees, and the chain gang are immediately apparent. Head on over to read the full posting on the subject.

Over the next several weeks you’re going to be hearing more about how this year’s game is going to continue to push the boundaries of authenticity in gameplay, presentation, and art style. It’s the fight for every yard in the NFL that makes the battles playing out on Sundays throughout the fall and winter so compelling. From everything I have seen in Madden NFL 10 so far this year, the authenticity of gameplay is showing striking improvement in physics, realism and responsiveness. Having recently sat through a full product review from our team in Orlando, it’s abundantly clear that this could be the deepest, most graphically-rich Madden ever, and a stunning testament to the talented development team who have had a maniacal focus delivering a landmark title to Madden Nation in 2009.

Does the “fight for every yard” theme offer any hints towards a cover athlete? There is a good chance that the choice will represent that. So what do you think of the screenshot and what it has revealed? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

i do see a super bowl patch….will that be in superbowls in franchise mode..or is it like last year when the end zones in the sb had the teams name in the endzone but only for madden moment…im hoping the patches will be there in franchise

How come no report or article about MLB 2K9's second patch with fixes? That was news before the Madden screenshot, I thought this was the website to get ALL the sports gaming news? MLB 2K9 has two patches out before the season even starts and no report? But you report on sideline chaingang models? Still the EA dick rider. One thing no one can accuse you of is being fair…lol. end your self serving website…lol…this type of shallow one sided news is like a fox news channel. You NEVER reported on NBA 2K's flourishing website or 2K insider, almost like it doesn't exist. 2K's updates on the NBA are way better than what ever the hell LIVE is doing with all those arrows and graphs (lol). Yet, never a report, not one. How can we believe your top games list? How can we trust your opinion? You are just not fair. Three weeks later and like I said, everybody is playing MLB 2K9 on 360, yet no reporting of this. It seems too many loser appear on here and ride your dick and wave their poms poms to your gospel. Please don't tell Pasta you want a 2k signature style thing in a EA product, he might cry. He thinks EA is better than 2k, and doesnt admit, that they copy everything 2k does. adding realism is not high on EA's list of improvements. thats why the Cowboys were rated 97 and Cardinals a 79. Lmao.

I agree that the rosters are bad, but not as bad as 2k's. They rated Hideki Matsui a better fielder than Derek Jeter. Lmfao. Pasta can cry about it all he wants, but you've gotta admit that Madden would be better off with signature animations. Besides the video game world is full of copy cats. Company's steal ideas off each other all the time. And as soon as EA gets the baseball license back I think we will all be much happier people.

yea im a die hard GIANTS fan, but damn the steelers are good. that super bowl 4th quarter run was incredible. the catch by santonio was just sick. and ben roethlisberger is probably the most underrated QB in the NFL.

FINALLY !!!!! These motherfuckers are listening to the fans better late than never to me the players also look slimmer and taller, more life like. All they have to do now is fix the halftime shows an bring a TV style Broadcast presentation you have espn use it!!!!! I hate to say it but good work so far EA KEY WORDS {so far} and add seahawks deion branch lime green gloves!!!!!

Pasta, can't remember if the walls in the sidelines of the Bucaneers stadium looks the way they put it in this screen. If so, they changed the field where the Steelers bench is. It's all yellow and there is a Steelers logo between Big Ben and Max Starks (who I think looks a little more "bigger" than in previous games, not only for him, let's say O-lineman may be looking more the way they really are).

Pasta, do you know yet if they are staying with the current kicking mechanic??? I know it's a small issue to some, but the analog system is waaaaaaaay to easy and "boring" for me. Just going back to a FG meter (similar to pitching in MLB: The Show) would really be a huge improvement towards realism. Below average kickers and punters are just as good as Pro Bowlers in the Madden 09.
