They demo'd Sims 3 at the iphone 3.0 conference last week. Looks good.

The only sports game that I've somewhat enjoyed on the iphone has been real soccer 2009, but using a touch screen directional pad took time to get used to.

I'm going to have to try out Baseball Superstars.

As an iPhone owner who has played many different games on it. I would agree Tiger Woods would seem like the most logical for the iPhone. However i do think Madden, FiFA and NBA would work with a streamlined control scheme without a doubt. The Sims 3 would work fine as well IMO.

I definitely look forward to trying these out as i do like to game on my iPhone from time to time. Currently i find myself play Baseball Superstars 2009 quite a bit on the phone. It has a mode similar to RTTS which of course is on a much smaller scale where you really just do the batting and baserunning but its cool because you can train your player in a few different areas such as hitting , power, running....ect. while playing through a league in season mode. So i definitely can see EA bring alot of these games over to the iPhone.

Now the big question would be if EA can get the control schemes to work.

I have an iphone and I believe that Tiger Woods will be the one to make a successful transition on to the iphone platform. I'll probably purchase all the EA sports games on my iphone just so I can give my opinion on it, but I just can't see Madden or NBA Live appealing to the hardcore base on this platform. A coaching feature, or GM feature would be better suited for this platform...like an RPG, I don't know. I'm having the feeling the games will play like NBA Live 95 (try playing it today and imagine how we used to think this was the greatest thing ever at the time)
