Side note / question - Don't QB's have their fingers on the strings of the football anymore? Looking at Big Ben's and Cutler's screenshots, how can they throw the football that way...not touching the strings? Wouldn't it end up looking like a stinkin' kickoff??

I sure hope so... I'm hoping next year we take a true franchise qb with one of those first round draft picks we've got and then fix whatever holes are leftover on our defense after this year.

I totally agree. This deal is defintely a great one for Denver, but a not so good one for Chicago. They gave up way to much to get him. But, hey, if they think he's going to help them win now then more power to them. I just don't see him coming in and making that big of a difference. If you compare Orton and Cutler's numbers last year, Orton really wasn't that bad. Cutler had a boat load of yards because they threw the ball all the time, but that's it. He hasn't proven to be a winner yet.

Oh, well, like I said earlier, just glad to see this soap opera over with. I was getting tired of seeing Cutler's goofy, "I'm half-asleep" looking face all over the internet anyway.

No need to apologize, it's all good. You were actually right in your assessment. (Not about the crack pipe, though) The Broncos got a steal in this trade if you ask me. Granted, Kyle Orton is no Jay Cutler, but if you look at their numbers last year Orton wasn't that bad. And to think Denver got Orton and 2 1st rounders and a 3rd rounder they really got a good deal in this. Kudos to Denver for taking a really crappy situation and making good on it. I think in the long run they are a better team today because of this for sure.
