MLB 09 The Show Opening Day Roster Update

The Opening Day roster update for MLB 09 The Show came out earlier today. This update includes 210 player movements. For those of you who can’t log into SportsConnect and download the update I have uploaded the file here to be retrieved manually. It needs to be unpacked and then the folder transferred over to the PS3 saves.
It turns out this might not be the update to settle on if you’ve been waiting to start a franchise. Gary Sheffield is listed as a free agent instead of being on the Mets and rookies cannot be added until they’ve played an official game. So next Monday may bring a more significant update. The highlights as listed by SCEA are below.
SP Tim Wakefield moved from Red Sox Relief to Red Sox Starting.
RP Ramon Ramirez moved from Red Sox Minors to Red Sox Relief.
CF Melky Cabrera moved from Yankees Position to Yankees Bench.
SP Dontrelle Willis moved from Tigers Starting to Tigers Minors.
CF Andruw Jones moved from Rangers Position to Rangers Bench.
RP Derrick Turnbow moved from Rangers Relief to Rangers Minors.
C Josh Bard moved from Free Agent to Nationals Minors.
CP Trevor Hoffman moved from Brewers Closer to Brewers Minors.
LF Gary Sheffield moved from Tigers Position to Free Agent.

Two Questions:
1. Are there downloadable roster files for the ps2 (yes, I still an that cheap)?
2. To use those this way, just a usb mem stick and then in through the port on the ps2? I've never used that option on the ps2.

Any news of a potential patch to fix a few issues:
1) Going to replay vault and not being able to exit (happened to me three times — sucks having to replay a game)
2) CPU lineup issues during season / franchise…Guys leading off who shouldn't, etc.
3) Schedule issues with few day games (especially at Wrigley)

*sigh* There is quite a bit to be desired in the roster update, although I understand it. I was looking forward to seeing Rasmus and Freese on the Redbirds…but I'm sure they will fix it next week. Maybe they will even add some decent pitchers to the Cards bullpen, seeing as the real Cards have done NOTHING to bolster that need in the off-season. But I digress…

Pasta,
Have you heard anything about a patch for MLB 09? There's a really bad RTTS glitch that doesn't let you go past Sept 15th. It is happening in different years (2013 for me) but it's happening to a lot of people. I'm still loving the game playing franchise, but I'd really like to get back to my RTTS players someday. Hopefully they will fix the glitch, because I'm not about to start another player and invest that kind of time if it's only going to happen again.
Any info you have would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Damnit! I was pitching another good game shutout when the third baseman over the threw the first base for an erro and the guy that was on second that i had walked came home off the error and they scored it as an earned run and this has happened twice. they have a scoring glitch in the game this should not be an earned run!
