The Wildcat in Madden 10

With the cover news, first footage, event in NY later this week, and the draft day activities there is already a lot to look forward to for Madden 10. Still a new blog went up today with a handful of screenshots showing off the Wildcat with Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins. You can check out the blog posting and screens here and I’ve added the images to the gallery.

Having the Wildcat in will definitely provide some much needed excitement to the games. Last year it was held out because of concerns it would be exploited. However there is much more confidence in the Madden team this year to implement and balance it properly. I can’t wait to run it a few times a game with Seneca Wallace just as the Seahawks plan to do this season.

He's not bad, but do you really think he's gonna get that much time. As long as Hasselbeck's healthy, I'd think the Seahawks would need to use him as much as possible.

If they draft Sanchez I expect to see Seneca at WR at running the Wildcat on occasion. They're too afraid to risk him to injury as the backup.

Pasta did you see the ref on his the ground on the gallery pic's lol. Look like they will have nice collisions with the ref's in the game this year

I tell you what, if the screen shots are an actual representation of what the game is going to look like, and not the b.s we've gotten from developers before when they release "concept" shots and pose them as actual screenshots, then I will be very happy. But I have to be honest, I'm still in wait and see mode. When I have the game and it's running and looking like these shots, then all will be well. Until then, just have to hope.

Everything we're being shown, though, looks great.

Hey, Pasta I kinda like who they added new gloves, and Ronnie and Ricky appear to be wearing the correct visors. It really pissed me off in the old Maddens when everyone had those dark visors. This was semi-fixed last year, but they had Brian Westbrook with a visor. A green tinted visor, which really pissed me off b/c he doesnt wear a visor no has he ever!

Some more BS by da billionaire brothers from EA. I bet they totally screw this up! They give us 3 still photos and expect us to get excited about a feature they will absolutely screw up. Ooooooooooooh I can't wait till I snap the ball to my RB and have him fake a lateral to another RB only to have him get crushed by a DE who WALKS AROUND THE OFFENSIVE TACKLE and cause you to fumble pick it up and run for a TD and all because the animation had to play all the way through. BS EA start over from scratch we all deserve it. Take a year off and overhaul this whole product now before you release this crappy game that everybody is so hyped up for.

If you have a defensive player who has the "Smart Weapon" they should make it so they can read the play immediately after like the 4th or 5th time someone uses it because it will be overused online like mad

i THINK AFTER THE 3RD TIME Honestly they say the AI is suppose to b so better the CPU should adapt and be ready or that play without the smart weapon

Don't get too excited yet. These are just screenshots. We've been duped in the past. Let's wait until we see the actual game in motion before saying it's improved. All we've seen in motion so far is the barebones animations to show us certain features, which leads me to believe they are no where near these screen shots with the actual game in motion.

Just a thought. I'm buying the game as always, but reserving the excitement until they can prove these screenshots are from gameplay.
