Man!!!! All I care about is Online Dynasty. Madden keeps adding crap that doesn't matter. Who gives a damn if 3 people make the tackle or 8, just make the damn tackle. I guarantee the QB avoidance trick will start a cheese fest and if the atmosphere is not improved we get another lackluster game. It amazes me at all the people who fall for this stuff year after year. Madden 10 will be another good game but not great.

Well, that's nice that you only care about Online Dynasty, but others care about these things. I love people who do nothing but complain. They will never make the perfect game that satisfies everyone. You'll still have the idiot complaining that the player's shoelaces aren't long enough or some b.s like that.

For someone that says it will be another "good game, but not great" sounds like you "fall for this stuff" too or you wouldn't play it. Get over it, dude. The perfect game will never happen. Just be happy they are making big strides to improve the gameplay this year.

I don't have a problem with the game homeboy, I buy it every year. What I mean by falling for it is, running around talking about how it's going to be the best game ever. I never said it needed to be perfect I was asking for things that matter. SO please recognize what you are talking about before you speak. 100

The new online modes for the "competitive and co-operative gamer" are going to be announced at E3. Whether that will be Online Franchise is up in the air. I hope so, but there are some difficulties that come with it that don't with NCAA (live elements like the draft, free agency)

    • Marvis

The issues with the draft you have several different ways to go with that. You could conduct a live draft and if that owner happens not to be there the commish could make the pick for those users. Also you can come at Free Agency with setting up blind bids for free agency and have a time limit when all bids must be in and best bid wins free agent based on if he wants to play there. Just some ideas.

      • Quan

        Not bad.

        • KOOLAID

2k basketball had a live draft for there online league at least let us make the first 25 picks and let the computer do the rest thats not asking too much

Does everyone realize that sports games are released every year? Do you realize that a regular game takes multiple years to develop? In the time they have, I feel they make vast improvements to get it to the game everyone wants. And unless they take an entire year off from releasing a Madden to develop a whole new engine you're going to see these kinds of improvements. But this year is looking really good, and I think they've taken great strides to make it the game people are expecting. But then again, you will never make everybody happy. And it WON'T be the perfect game I can assure you. My money's on a great game this year, though. From what we've seen, they are making strides in presentation AND gameplay and that's great.

I get so worked up over the negativity, but I guess I should just ignore it. Anyway, back to work. I'm on a post marathon today. Sorry.

    • ibleedgreen

You said it exactly. I have been saying that to people all along. I am totally behind EA and what they have accomplished. People have no friggin idea of the extents it takes to put a game of this caliber together. Especially building a perfect Artificial Intelligence system to make it adapt like a real game.

I see no reason for anyone to bitch about this game if its pulled off with everything working how it's supposed to! …until some loser notices that one bar on his facemask is out of place and he claims he's boycotting the game cuz it's not real enuf.

      • Droopy34

the reason people are mad is because 4 years into next gen and madden isn't better than 2 football games on a current gen console(madden 05 and nfl2k5),and these games were on current gen consoles.
I have bashed EA alot the last couple of years, but i like the direction Ian is taking this game, and the fact he listens to us as gamers.I understand people's hate though, guys have a right to be upset when their favorite game is not up to par.

    • AmenRa

I get worked up over the dickriders who every year say man just relax it takes a year to improve a game, well guess what it's been fucking 4 years!!!! If this Ian dude can do as much as he has done in this one cycle, that's even more reason for people to be pissed. Had they been doing this much shit every year, we might very well have had the perfect game

i noticed that from the layer animation video around the 0:58 mark, two d-line of the cards uniformly reacted to the ball thrown by big Ben. i hope Ian notice this and fixes it because if its the little things that he's looking to change to create authenticity, that would be another area in need of change.

IBLEEDGREEN you can take EA's nutz out of your mouth now. All I hear is blah blah blah how hard it is to develop a game. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this what they signed up for? Didn't they go to school to do this? I have a job where I can't complain because only 5% of 1% of the entire U.S. population qualifies for what I do so game developers need to step up or fire them including Peter Moore. The truth is EA got soft when they should have went hard. They are trying to make up for half a decade of lame NEXT GEN games. Madden is the flagship here in the states and they need to delever every time. They teased us with a decade of new features that they promptly took out the next year then brought them back and called them new. The worse part about it is that the graphics aren't bad just the gameplay. The graphics are excellant in my book I just want tigher gameplay.

    • ibleedgreen

EA hasnt done a perfect job by any means. But it takes a little trial and error when you only got 9-10 months to create a game. And you only have so much time to focus a few areas at a time. A decent job til now, just wish they would have focused on this shit sooner rather than stupid gimmicks like last years bull…

  • OTG

I like what the "pocket" is starting too look like in Madden. It needs some work sure but like all the videos said it's still a work in progress ;)

  • Mo Diddley

I need DE who don't just walk around OT's and pressure the QB
I need all QB's playing like Joe Montana
I need franchise mode that is worth playing beyond 2 years
I need running holes that stay open
I need offensive lineman who actually block and CAN SUSTAIN BLOCKS
I need guys to catch a INT that hits them right in the hands at least half the time not the currently 10%
I need who will jump for a jumpball and not let every 5'8" foot defender outjump your 6'4" WR

These are just the tip of the iceberg. They are improving on game speed, throwing speed, and recognition so I give them credit but it's time to seal the deal. EA GET ER DONE!

so this "Fight for the Fumble" EA is saying that this is going to happen at least once a game. So you are going into every game knowing that you are going to fumble once. Now how is that authenticity. Take the the games inside the game out.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/mculberson mculberson

I think it's pretty safe to say that the ball is fumbled at least once a game. That doesn't mean the offense loses it every time, but I think if you look at any football boxscore, between the two teams you will find at least one fumble in there, if not more. Now lost fumbles are a whole different thing altogether, but they're not saying you are going to lose one fumble a game.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/pastapadre pastapadre

I dont remember them saying you'd always get a "fight for fumble" in every game. Just that they were tuning it so it would happen about once a game. It might not happen, it might happen twice. But on average it should be about once.

    • Mario

yep definitely a problem..It should be one of those every now and then things…I know personally I dont fumble every game and I dont want to start..I remember on Madden 07 Marion barber..used to fumble one or two time every game and I could tell its predetermined.

      YO

    • stilltwinston

i know dawg yes he's on my friends list and i explained to him that a fumble does happen once a game and let's remember that it just isn't running backs that fumble I like the feature as long as its true to the game yes I like the button mashin for the fumble as long as they switch the buttons so we are pushin different buttons and as long as the fight for fumble happens at the line of scrimmage and not 20 yards down the field.

No one said it was hard for them to develop the game. It's just that most games get a two to three year development cycle (at least) that allows them to work on the game. Other than sports games, this is usually the standard. So that's why you get the incremental improvements.

Game goes gold probably in June or July. Releases in August. They probably take at least a month or two off from developing. So let's say they start back up in November. Well, it's almost May now so that's a whole six months they've been working on the game.. And by the time the game goes gold again, we're talking eight or nine months of developing time. Compared to the two or three years other games get, that's not even close.

So there's only so much that can be done during that time, and the fact that they are doing what they are doing this time around says something for the developing team. I can assure you it's no small task to do these things in such a short period of time, relatively speaking.

Here's hoping all your "needs" are met, Mo Diddley. What a joke

Wish I was able to put my face on a created player through the playstation eye. Maybe it's a feature that EA could implement in the future
