Hoping one of you on this forum can help.
I just picked up MLB 09 The Show for PS3 (80 gig) The game does not even load. It says it is about to load new updates (ver.1.06) and then nothing happens…any ideas as to what is going on?

Im having the same problem here. I noticed that the updated rosters wont work for a fantasy draft. When I delete the rosters it works, but that also defeats the purpose of having updates rosters. Im not sure what to do here. Is this a result of the patch or of the updated rosters?

The game is great but definitely has stat issues. Gary Sheffield, for example. He had 499 career HRs before season started but the number displayed on his "player card" is waaaaay off. But when he came up to bat in a game a graphic displayed "499 career HRs". THEN I hit a HR with him and there was NO acknowlegement of his 500th HR anywhere – no audio, special video, etc… Also his career stats didn't update and the next game he played the graphic still said "499 career HRs". There were others but this stood out most obviously. Any ideas?

i cant even start a new franchise every time it gets to my turn in the draft my screen goes black and restarts the ps3 to the main screen

I can't stand the Rangers ugly bi-color batting helmets– the Rangers decided at the last minute not to use them, but we're stuck with looking at them. Maybe in a future patch this will be addressed, otherwise (sadly) I am staying clear of the Rangers.

i'm one of these guys how have been affect by this patch. I had a frnachise started with the mets and i was well into season (june), but now everytime i try to play a game my ps3 restarts. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Can I erase this patch?

that doesnt work either. I tried deleting it and my franchise sill resets. I guess the only hope is a new patch that hopefully fixes it.

I haven't had any issues so far with my RTTS *knock on wood* but I've been playing Fallout 3 mostly the past three or four days.

You have to do it from the desktop screen. Go to the MLB file and then go to data. You will find it there.

However, I read that if you delete the patch it deletes other files as well….

Just put the game in and the system does the rest…
