Last week I was able to offer up a bunch of Madden 10 videos from E3. Now lead developer Ian Cummings has posted up a full quarter video of the game captured in HD featuring the Falcons @ Chiefs on All-Pro difficulty.

He has since posted up a full game’s worth of videos on the Inside EA Blog which you can check out here. Continue on to watch the video and leave your thoughts in the comments.

I think the game looks great! I know I'm just nitpicking here, but…NOT ONE SINGLE PENALTY? I see that this is still an issue. Also, I see that getting stopped on the 1-yard line is still a problem again. That happened all too often in Madden 09. I didn't catch much new TV style presentations. Pro-Tak looks great, awesome animations, and the graphics look tight…But…This is on All-Pro? No pressure from the D-Line, and plays seem to be wide-open for running backs. Then again, they are Turner and Johnson. Besides that, it has passed my expectations!

It still shows the wrong team celebrate the fumble recovery. The Falcons got the fumble but the Chiefs acted like they did.

Running game looks vastly improved from last year's, but I'm afraid to say that the pass defense is looking pretty bad (check that, very bad). No pressure on the QB and passing lanes big enough to drive a tractor trailer through could potentially kill an otherwise good game for me. Even when the CPU rushed 3 and dropped 8 into coverage, I counted 3 wide open receivers. That should not happen. This has been a concern of mine since seeing the first gameplay footage. All I can hope is that bumping the difficulty up to All-Madden and tuning the sliders will make it more challenging than what I've seen so far. Online franchise is still questionable, but I'm primarily an offline player so CPU AI is very important.

Presentation is much improved, the tackling and running animations seem much more organic, I like that the CPU can actually run the ball this year…there's some good stuff here. Only about two months left till judgement day.

Really? And if you think about that 2k5 statement of yours…2k began development on that game in 2004. They better do something other than buying out the comp out…i mean it's going on 2010! Could you imagine an NFL2k10 game now, without the EA takeover. I mean you still reference back to 2k5. You just gave 2k the biggest compliment, and didn't even know it. lol.

Pasta, do you know if the Fight for the Fumble thing comes up on every fumble or just the ones where several players are around the ball at once.

I'm concerned that if it happened every time, the one's where a guy falls on it by himself and should have plenty of time to secure it could still end up giving the other team a good chance to recover it just by winning a button game. I could see where that would get annoying really fast.

I'm glad to see the return of accelerated clock. They didn't have the AFL patch on the Chiefs uniforms. This is a permanent addition to their uniform and has been for the last 3 or 4 years. I know it's a minor detail, but they said we'd see everything.

The game was on All Pro which is a notch below All Madden. I don't think the difficulty settings are going to make much of a difference. The only hope to make this game semi-resemble football is going to be tweaking the sliders and hopefully it makes a difference. Maybe turning up D awareness all the way will improve the CPU coverage, but I doubt it. As long as we have guys like Dustin below worried about AFL patches on uniforms, we're never going to get authenticity in the areas that matter….ah that would be gameplay.

Anyway, your not crazy because I really think that as good as Peyton is, the Colts are on the decline and the Texans would have beaten them last year if it wasn't for Sage Rosenfels trying to fly across the first down marker.

There were a few things i'd noticed:

    1) overall, defense…….lack of pressure towards the QB and filling the gaps during run plays
    2) RBs seem a bit powerful even for the good ones like LJ and MT……..i hope EA tones down the spin move
    3) interaction at the line of scrimmage……..it looks improved but i still feel like they are all clumped together.

Overall, i have to give Peter and Ian credit………this game looks improved.

im a little confused why some of you are overly concerned about the lack of d regarding the ravens titans game, specifically the amount of points the ravens gave up. the titans are controlled by a MADDEN LEAD DESIGNER and the difficulty is set on all pro. if it was some bum playing on all madden id be concerned. plus sliders are even left at default, they can be tweaked to make certain things harder or easier u know, relax guys – try playing a skilled player (not comp) on all madden or even all pro and im certain you wont put up 35 on a great defense.. i mean unless your a madden god

something else, im not sure how 10 min q with accelerated clock compares to the traditional 5 min quarters or even 4 min which i think it is online (not 100 percenty sure), but if there is a chance it makes the game slightly longer this could too play a part in the 35 points.

and finally the last td was scored with under 30 secs left in the game via int td.

You can clearly see that they up the game speed because turner is running like a dart.. i like the gamplay looks alot more fluid.. people with the helmets off look fine you guys complain about dumb stuff.. what about the obvious that should of been fixed.. such as the crowd has looked the same since ps3 and Xbox has launched and that is sad.. the cut scenes look nice but the stadium is packed in every game.. were are the 3d models? dont say it cant be done because MLB THE SHOW has been doing this for a while at 60fps also whats up with the PILON? can it be knocked down? and can helmets come off with jarring hit like madden 02? long as there is a decent amount of user catches and better controls im sold but from what i seen it looks like madden will finally be better than 2k5 after all these years

Why does it say "Cassel threw for 3293 yards during the 2008 season" They never display that on games. It's usually like this:

    Matt Casell : 32 TD's 18 INT's
    T-1 AFC

That bothers me that it's displayed like that.

I for one think that these new videos look great. Madden has come so far and I want to thank Ian for doing what he has done and listended to the community. Now I know they dont have a Salary Cap/FA on online franchise. Oh well, the rest is awesome. The few things that I want to point about the videos that I hope they get corrected are as follows:
    1. That run defense needs to improve so more or else everybody is going to be rushing for 2,000 yds plus
    2. Two referees running down the same sideline on TD's (This video and Chiefs vs. Falcons)
    3. Wrong team cheers on recovered fumble.
    4. D-Line pressure on QB

Pasta, I have a question regarding this year's Madden that I don't think has been answered yet this year: do they still have the dynamic difficult levels? (Madden IQ) I loved the idea and even though it wasn't that great last year, it usually takes until year 2 for a specific feature to be as good as expected.
