Madden 10 Player Ratings

After responding to a ton of Madden NFL 10 player ratings requests in the previous posting I took on the task of putting them all together in a document. Included are the full rosters, overall ratings, and at many positions the speed and acceleration ratings. You can download the spreadsheet here.

I am really looking forward to seeing how the spread out ratings affect the game. It makes the strengths and weaknesses of each team apparent and depth becomes more important. Users will have to strategically consider each team’s personnel. It should really open things up with the games better resembling what would be seen in the NFL.

I was just looking at the ratings and saw a huge discrepancy. How is Winston Justice an 66? Nick Cole is a very good player and doesn't deserve to be rated under Winston Justice. Here is a guy who allowed more sacks in 1 game than Tre Thomas allowed in 3 years! In fact all of the linemen for the Eagles should be rated higher than Winston Justice even the 7th round pick F. Broncos o-line, from the overall, got shafted. I'll wait and see the full ratings before I make my complete judgment, but thats how it appears now. Everyone better have amazing pass blocking. Eddie Royal should be faster, and Knowshon too, but only a little. Hillis is going to be amazing, fastest fullback in the game and our fastest back.

Raiders starting WR's are rated as the 4th and 5th WR's for Oakland, with a 69 (Higgins) and 64 (Schilens) overall, while a rookie 4th rounder is rated 72.

This has probably been brought up before but id like to see realistic stats after simulation. Meaning if a quarterback from one team throws an interception then id like for the db from the other team to only have one interception and not 2. and if the game ends 23-20 then id like to see that represented exactly in the stats.

I went through every player and the ratings are flawless. Once again Madden manages to put the competition to shame. Every single category is perfect and the ratings are true indicator of each players strength and weakness. It's so good and NCAA is so bad that I'm not buying NCAA 10 and I'm buying 2 copies of Madden. NCAA sux, Madden rules!

and carson palmer an 88 get out of here with that one i know its not a huge deal right now wit the ratings since they will change though the season but thats crazy

I noticed a huge drop off in ratings for backup qbs not just the bengals i would hate to go to a backup or 3rd sting (some 3rd stings are like rated 30 something)

REALLY DONNY MOORE!? that dude needs to lose his fudging job and there should be a committee for rosters. at least like 2 dudes per conference so we can get the MOST accurate rosters ever. the roster ppl should even tape and all that instead of basing stuff off of opinions. i remember during draft presentation "kenny britt is big but he really cant jump well" HE JUMPED 38 INCHES ON THE VERTICAL AND IS CONSTANTLY MOSSING PEOPLE AND HE GETS RATED A 86 IN JUMP. He was regarded as a mid to late 1st round pick in the 2008 draft before blowing out his knee, and is ready to battle for the dime spot. Doesn't sound like much, but at the same time you're talking about a team with sheldon brown, asante samuel and, uh.. who's the other one.. Whatever.

I will guarantee Jack Ikegwuonu makes some plays early on this season, bringing him to his justified, yet modest, 68 to 73 overall rating.

shouldnt all receivers basically be faster than everybody else on the field cept people in the skill positions ?! some idiots working on ea i swear. some fuckin idiots and im mad now because basically all receiver speeds got ripped with friggin lbs faster than them. COME ON DO YOU EVER SEE A LB CATCH UP TO A RECEIVER AND TACKLIN HIM !? and is mcnabb really faster than avant? are any of the lbs really near avant in speed ?WTF im pretty mad about these ratings

Dominique Barber should be rated higher than Nick Ferguson because he is going to be starting.
