Madden 10 Player Ratings

After responding to a ton of Madden NFL 10 player ratings requests in the previous posting I took on the task of putting them all together in a document. Included are the full rosters, overall ratings, and at many positions the speed and acceleration ratings. You can download the spreadsheet here.
I am really looking forward to seeing how the spread out ratings affect the game. It makes the strengths and weaknesses of each team apparent and depth becomes more important. Users will have to strategically consider each team’s personnel. It should really open things up with the games better resembling what would be seen in the NFL.

from the way EA has it the eagles have the worst linbacking corps in the league……… we all kno thats far from the truth….ask steven jackson marion barber the enire steelers backfield micheal turner and jamal lewis and more. u dont finish 4th in the leadue in rush defense with the worst linbacking corp. i luv how the two worst rush defenses have way better linbackers than my eagles. keep up the bullshit EA ur doing so well

I dont know why you guys are getting mad about the rating b/c it makes no sense at all. Mike at the top of the page did you not here what madden was doing this year there making the ratings real just because the panthers were a 90 in 09 dont mean they should be a 90 again because they didnt lose anybody like madden said they are changing the ovrall ratings every player and every team. I hate seeing players in madden rated a 70+ and they get no playing time on the field.

I was just wondering if you could boost up Charles Tillman’s speed because that is horrible for your best cornerback on the Chicago Bears and he is really faster than that could you give him at least a 86-88 speed because he has good speed. Last i was just wondering about our other cornerback Corey Graham he started majority of last year for the bears and he had a very good year couldn’t he at least have a higher overall and better speed because he is very fast, couldn’t his overall at least be 80 because our secondary is underrated and they always hurt our secondarys speed.

love the way you computer brains dissed the raiders like always. we are one of the pass D in the league and you nutz jobs still don't see that we have made strides. higgins is a special team beast that should of went to the pro bowl but because of our record no love. our LBs in howard and morrison can run with anybody and yes our slb is weak our secondary is not bad at all. russell showed improved and when he went head-to-head he out played garcia numbers don't lie. our rookie in scott should be better he lead all rookies in sacks. our o-line should be better we was 10th in the league in rushing explain that computer punks. and fix how a guy can stay in one set like a power-I and just keep runing and no one can stop it or a dang sweep make the awareness better.zach miller numbers were better than gates he just had more tds zach had more catches and better yards explain that. and barnes stats went down when the raiders picked him wow and so did the center from MIA. THIS IS A PLAYOFF TEAM WAITING TO HAPPEN

Madden 10 is going to be a running game. Panthers should be one of the best teams to play with considering the run game they have and that all the lb's in MAD 10 are trash. The best lb's to have are patrick willis, jerrod mayo, audalius thomas, ernie sims, and demarcus ware.

that means high rated slow lb's like ray lewis and the highly overrated joey porter are obselete. Speed kills ladies and gentlemen, and that may be the case in more ways than one. Wildcat is going to be fun, especially with the speedy wide outs in the game. but the slow wr's? Larry fitzgerald is going to have a tough time against some of the quicker db's in madden. all in all i hope this will make for a more realistic game. I'm tired of seeing moss catch every 40 yard bomb and cb's wiffing all over the field. make the player feel like they have to work for the touchdown, not just chuck it for the score. when the gamers have to work just as hard, although on a different scale, as nfl players have to for the td, thats when a perfect game has been born

how is vincent jackson as fast as antonio gates? i mean this new rating system works good but some of these ratings are a bit of a head scratcher. i mean jackson burned db's down the field for tons of td's. antonio is fast for a tightend but hes no burner

Hmm…these ratings are outdated now…here Tom Brady is a 97 while he was confirmed to be a 98 and Brandon Tate is a 69 while he is confirmed to be a 74…I can't wait for the official rosters to come out

Even though the ratings are off a little or a lot, Madden 10 is real nice. I've been playing with my brother switching teams. Roth scrambles and throws accurate on the scramble while Warner releases quick and is a beast in the short game. I like to run with Parker but pitt has big backs too and even though they're 79 under overall, they will run u over. Frankly that's all you need, a back to break a tackle or two going forward to keep a clean drive.

I've been playing John Maddden football since 97 and I have always had to play with a different team other than the city that I live in. 12 years of Madden going into year 13 and its the exact same thng. I'm a Texans fan and I must say that they have sucked every year since they got into the league, but this year should've be different. I Just wanna see the players who excel for us get their just deserts.Owen Daniels is argueably the 4th or 5th best tight end in the league but there are at least 9 TE's ahead of him. Andre Johnson is the best wideout the NFL has now, but Fitzgerald is ahead of him. Whatever. Demeco Ryans is a household name at MLB(MIDDLE LINEBACKER FOR THE DUMMIES) yet there are at least 7 backers ahead of him. Steve Slaton had a better year than Tennesse TITANS Chris Johnson, but he's(Johnson)is rated better than Slaton cuz he was on a better team. Please EA, rate these individual players a little more fair instead of rating them based on the year we had.

The entire NFC North is rated too low, packers and viking specifically. and albert H is not a 99 player, more like a 96. i feel this is the worst rated madden yet.

Can someone tell me WHY Team Ratings are diffrent when you play Quick play IE Giants89, Redskins 79 but when you play Franchise mode Team Ratings are Giants86 ,Redskins 85?? The player ratings seem to be the same in both types of play, but do these team ratings effect game play??

aaron rodgers is a beast of a starting quarterback, he fumbles alot but still i would hightly reccomend him.
