I believe the Helmet coming Off on a hard hit so go into the Hall Of Fame.
Also I believe "QB Vision" should go into the Hall of Fame. I loved that!!!

gotta love 2k fanboys who ignore the facts

FACT: Madden 05, even at double the price, STILL outsold 2K

Why do you ignore that it is was the NFL who wanted exclusive licensing to one company, EA just happened to have more money to offer. So tired of people twisting the facts because 2K5 was so "amazing". It was never better than Madden, especially in the 05 iteration. Yes, Madden is more arcadey but it was also sim enough that it was the perfect blend of sim and arcade to the point that it was FUN and competitive (with the exception of next-gen 06 and 07).

Fact is that I agree with you that exclusive rights is bad because competition breeds a better product for the consumer, but I'm pulling for EA to keep the rights just to spite the fanboys.

I forgot though, it's cool to hate EA, always has been, always will be.

Bottom line: The most significant moment in Madden History was when EA bought the rights to the NFL, NFLPA, Arena Football, and NCAA. This defining moment in video sports game history dealt the death blow to 2k sports and forever placed Madden Football as the King of the Hill.

For those who don't remember the backstory to this blessed event: 2K sports released there entire line of 2k sports games for 19.99 in order to try and get a foothold on the sports scene. EA was then forced to drop its entire line of sports game to 39.99 vice the usual 49.99.

NFL 2k5 had a very strong finish that year and many argue was the better of the two football games. The very next season is when EA put the smackdown on 2k ever making a football game and 2k responding somewhat in kind by buying the rights to baseball, with the exception of Sony…………….Big Mistake. We all know how baseball has played out since then.
