Madden 10 Video Blowout #2

Here is another set of HD quality Madden 10 gameplay videos. Featured in this bunch of videos are the Redskins @ Eagles (in the snow), Packers @ Lions, Chiefs @ Raiders (in the rain), and Chargers @ Broncos (in heavy snow with the “wide” camera angle). Weather conditions really have an effect as you’ll see players slipping on occasion. When that happens as a WR the icon disappears and as a QB you are momentarily unable to throw.

Tomorrow afternoon I’ll get up some clips from online games as well as some franchise videos. Those of you following along on Twitter know I’m playing with the Dolphins and going with Pat White at QB due to a preseason injury to Chad Pennington. It has been a major struggle but I’ve been able to go 3-1 to start the season. On Monday I’ll get up my full impressions to that point and continue various coverage throughout the week.

I can't remember back to what 2K5 did with presentation and I don't care. They guys who make Madden have to watch an actual NFL football game and learn what play by play and color commentaries should sound like. An idea which I'm surprised no one has done is have more than one announcing team, this would give us the players a great variety. Though I'm sure it's too expensive. Other than the commentary the game looks great. Can't wait until this Friday, thanks Pasta.

The halftime "show" looks and behaves really gay. What kind of anemic presentation is that? "The total number of plays is about even"? No one ever focuses on total number of plays in a real half time show. Who wrote this script? Obviously, it was some nerd that doesn't go outside very much, or has ever watched a football game.

And during the short highlight clips, I would expect some kind of commentary, but since there's none, it all comes off as useless and a little creepy too.

Poorly done, EA.

And… What's up with the camera work in this year's game. As soon as, or even just before, your ball carrier is tackled, the camera immediately switches to the close up, replay style camera.

The dev team said, "if it happens on Sunday, it's in our game" or something like that. But no director in the truck would ever switch camera shots at that exact moment. They'd always wait until there was a good reason to change cameras.

Sorry, but I don't like what I see so far. Too goofy.

Even the poorly executed NCAA 10 had fan recognition and the fans would just sit quietly if their team was behind.

just got the game. i must say passing feels right for the first time since madden 06. Computer running backs put up much more of a fight and a decent back can easily shed your D if your not careful. Overall i feel the game is a step up in the right direction from its endless customization from jerseys to sliders etc u name it, its there.

got my copy 2 days ago… has anybody the same issue with the ps3 version as me? after every snap the game is "freezing" for about a second,… pretty annoying if you ask me…

Hey Pasta , what is the level all your video's are being played on? And are they with or without slider adjustments? Cause the cpu's run game looks atleast decent in your video's but in most Ive seen non existent.

Also if maybe in one of your next vid's if you could show us the zoom camera. Thanks alot Pasta, much appreciated all the vid's.

All-Pro default. CPU run game is weak, no doubt about it. I havent given up much on the ground until my last franchise game when Reggie Bush gouged me for 210 yards (160 of that came on 2 runs though)
