I just realized... Miami should have a baseball diamond on the field early in the season, they used to do that in franchise mode on the earlier maddens on ps2 and xbox, but havent done it next gen, thats a small detail they overlooked, not a big deal, but they focused on small details this year and missed that, maybe next year

Man, I'm watching the extra point, and I can understand how the fragments couldn't been smoother when they are talking. The... Miami Dolphins faced... the Oakland Raiders... Why don't they just read all the team combinations together and call that up... There has to be some way to make that sound better. Like the idea, but I might have to mute them....

Well, too bad it took EA five years to come up with it. In retrospect, what is even more incredible, is that 2k5 was already doing it on previous gen consoles.

I think for all that Ian and co tried to touch on in less than a year, this game is quite impressive, as a whole. Yes, there are still things that need to be fixed (I've played the retail version for the PS3, several times over)but only unappreciative, brat minded people will steadily harp on it and/or bring up 2K5 OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND...That's real childish and plain stupid.
As for the halftime deal, it's just a foundation. ANYONE with foresight and vision can see that. Next year, I can see this being really fleshed out, along with improvement on Pro-Tak and fixes and such.

Many of you really need to understand that you're coming off like little bitches with all the hate, whining and ridiculous complaining. Madden 10 is great stuff not to mention it is A VIDEO GAME. Get over yourselves.

If people keep on bringing over and over Nfl 2k5, it's simply because it was a great game.
I'm not pro EA or pro 2k. I couldn't care less. All I want is a great videogaming experience and Nfl 2k5 was all I could ask for from a videogame.
I know that this halftime segment is a "foundation", but you gotta admit that it took EA 5 freaking years to come up with a feature, that was almost flawless on a $20-game on previous gen consoles.
That said, I'm not bitter. I'll buy Madden once again, it looks great... I mean I always buy Madden on even years, that's when they release their best games.

Im soooo happy to see a halftime show...will it be perfect? NO..will I complain about the game this year..NO. Im very happy with what I am seeing!

Hey Pasta, just curious about if you can trade for punters and kickers in madden 10. I know previous years you couldn't.

The only two things I don't like about the game so far are the FG's (I knew they were the same tho) and the fact that EA didn't put all of the AFL throwbacks in there! FG's on the analog stick need to go (i.e. vision cones, Tiger Woods, 2K baseball...analog is too gimmicky). I wanted to use the Bills white throwbacks and they aren't in there!!! Game rocks though. Already faced someone who was 22-0 online and chose to get my ass kicked...

Anybody notice on first video where dolphins won 31-27 she said they won by 3? That cracked me up.

its "fran" charles btw...and even though the voice over is kinda bad, i still find myself watching the extra point after each game just to see the stats from other games...it seems that a QB always gets offensive player of the week and they have outstanding numbers...like pennington 21-34, 356 yds, 5 tds....tom brady even broke the record in week 1 with 7 tds....im playing with the cowboys and romo is leading the league in int's...smh...

BTW, that 60 yard touchdown by Thomas Jones in the final video was just sick!

Most of us aren't saying the entire game sucks or that we are not going to get it. We just think the commentary isn't as far ahead as it should be at this point. The evidence we have to back up that opinion just happens to be 2k5. Are you saying that as men (coming from you, someone who sounds like he hasn't made it through middle school yet) we should have to either love the game or not buy it? I think I overestimated you when I said you were in middle school. If you actually read what I said, I never said 2K5 was perfect (I don't own it retard) and I didn't say Madden 10 looks bad. My post was not directed at you, if you understand the structure of argument, case-evidence-rebuttal etc, then you should realize I admittedly lashed out at all the whiners. In ESPN 2K5, Chris Berman made it sound natural.

This is nothing against Alex Flanigan, but she sounded crappy because it sounded like every word was the beginning of a new sentence, that is just EA though.

The half time show and the extra point are great installments. Next year just add more voice overs so they don't sounds choppy. I agree that the commentators suck. Collinsworth isn't bad, it's the play-by-play man who sounds like a robot. Just tweak some of that and next year will be great.

Got my copy of madden just today.. must say i love this game much much better big improvments. nice game speed and wow cpu accualli pretty good .. kickin my ass on all madden

Hey, next time can you post some examples of progression and a couple of potentials that players have.

videos look good but there is a ton of room for improvement. i would say in about 2 years from now this might be one the of the greatest features in madden ever. Things they could do is getting highlights from other games, towards the end of the season had like an xtra point show playoff race special. have like an offseason one dedicated to the draft and free agency. theres ton of things they could do and i could go on for hours but the groundwork is definatly here for something special.

I'll be skipping all the game presentation stuff. It's just as good as having the marching bands in ncaa. the halftime show and extra point show are a waste of time.

Not impressed. Presentation still cant touch 2K5 which was made in 04, but I will purchase and enjoy it for what it is.
