Next Madden 10 Roster Update This Week

One of the most frequent questions I receive has to do with when the next Madden roster update is expected to be out. For the start of the NFL regular season update I’ve been stating that the attempt would be made to have it out prior to the opening game on Thursday night. That has been confirmed today by both Donny Moore and Phil Frazier.

While they are making a push to have it out before the opener that may not be possible given the scope of the changes. So they are providing a wider window to expect it by saying it should be out by the end of the week. Hopefully it arrives earlier but it is understandable considering the multitude of transactions that took place over the weekend and have continued to stream in to the minute.

How about a patch where offensive and defensive pass interference actually works? The patch is coming guys everyone just calm down and let me bitch about roster updates. I wanted to start a new franchise but now I need to wait for some up to date rosters. I know I know, I should stop crying like a baby. Madden should get on the NBA Live/NBA 2K band wagon and produce more roster updates. Those games have proven it can be done. Yes I understand they are different beasts but you can't tell me that football roster don't update a couple of times a week. Players are are usually getting hurt, being let go and signed plus their ratings are changing. True Madden does not need daily updates but more than once a week would be nice. Okay yeah, I'm bitching over nothing but at least I'm not crying for a patch.

They only play once game per week. What would you make the changes based on? Practice? Be serious. Once a week is too much really. NFL coaches evaluate players on a quarterly evaluation (ever 4 weeks). The do small evaluations everyday, but once per 4 weeks they sit down and really look at a players body of work so far. I think madden should do the same. That way the roster updates would be more accurate. One big game or one bad game shouldnt be enough to raise or lower anyones rating ever.

One thing that you guys definitly change is Hakeem Nicks' rating, I mean 74 that's bullshit. He had 4 receptions for at least 50 yards and 3 were TD's he also, led the Nfl in receiving yards this Pre-Season he should at least be a 77-79. Also, I agree with JiMMz because Josh Johnson has to be moved up to at least the low 50's and Michael Vick has to be brought down to like 70 after the last pre-season game.

well i think some people might deserve a slight boost (1-5 points in a cat here or there) but for the most part you are correct preseason doesnt count

You cant just bring down a players rating because he had 1 bad game, Vick looked good in the other game and im sure by the time he can play again all the rust will be off and he will be back to the old Mike

wow you people complain to much chris henry better then moss LOL ou people make me laugh about the only guy i agree with is ksganga because those do tend to get annoying but other then that ya arraon rodgers a 91 ya right dude look at his line and his WR maybe thats why his WR are 90 overall and he is not because have you ever watched them rodgers just throws it up and hopes to god they will catch it. I noticed that they not only look at the player but also the players surrounding that one to give a much more accurate rating done and in my opinion it works. to me they got pretty much everything down the best they could.

one last comment i can bet my life savings that if any of you did the ratings yourself your favorite team would get unneeded bonuses and stuff like that

eer Line play broken Glitch? It's called READ YOUR BLOCKERS…. you can't just sprint the second you touch the ball, you lose your ability to cut..

I average like 7+ yards a carry with Leon Washington and like 4 with Thomas Jones on all madden.. i don't think the offensive line is broke at all, you just have to understand how it works..

What happen to pre season drills? They definately need to have like 75 man roster for preseason then have cuts so guys can have position battles..They also need to have a practice squad or something..There is no reason why Madden 08 should have a better franchise mode than Madden 10…ONLINE shouldn't be the only thing you guys improve…people still DO play offline Franchises too..and make it more realistic to run the ball…its absolutely insane that a defensive tackle breaks the line of scrimage EVERY play to make a tackle on the ball carrier
