Next Madden 10 Roster Update This Week

One of the most frequent questions I receive has to do with when the next Madden roster update is expected to be out. For the start of the NFL regular season update I’ve been stating that the attempt would be made to have it out prior to the opening game on Thursday night. That has been confirmed today by both Donny Moore and Phil Frazier.

While they are making a push to have it out before the opener that may not be possible given the scope of the changes. So they are providing a wider window to expect it by saying it should be out by the end of the week. Hopefully it arrives earlier but it is understandable considering the multitude of transactions that took place over the weekend and have continued to stream in to the minute.

Ok, to be fair, Marinelli was one hell of a defensive line coach before he tried to coach everything. Lovie got tired of his line not measuring up last year, so he made a move to improve it.

The players are looking great working for Marinelli, so I'd back off the criticism for that hire. As for Hester, I'm still scratching my head there. That said, people keep saying he's become quite the route runner in the slot, so I guess we'll see.

The reason he got moved is becuase he, like dante Hall, cant do all the return duties and start at WR. The man is a good athlete but lets face it, he isnt getting it done at WR. The man is a 3rd WR at best and has scored more TDs on special teams than he has on offense. I dont expect that to change anytime soon. I expect him to be a good returner in this league for a few more years than he will disapear.

If anything they need 2 make kevin curtis catch in traffic and spectacular catch way better than a 61 and 69, thats just embarrassing. people forget that the guy had a 1000 yard season in 07, just because he was injured for most of last year and didn't put up great numbers because of it does not mean he sucks.

I think that the rating is fine for Curtis. I play with the Browns and Mike Furrey is a 66 I believe, but just a couple seasons ago he had over 100 catches, also a couple years ago Vick was in jail. This is 2009-2010, not 2007.

Plus subsitution need to be apart of the coach options and not just an in game thing and how come player s are not allowed to have two positions so i dont have to continuesly just only have Brad Smith as wr, also Pasta how come the computer fills up my Depth chart when I put my self as the controller of it I dont like the look of that, no NFL team has there Depth chart fillled with TE in the WR spot so they need to fix that and make it like the Prime Time game for Sega where you almost deleted the guy you didnt want in the position but you could put him back, that game did Depth charts the best although I dont think you could anybody at any position wich needs to happen and that should be apart of the AFL package because alot of those players played all positions.

One other thing pasta every button should have a function and madden players should be able to custom make the way they want to controll the game, where is the playmaker controll that is one of the best options ever and they just now took it away I could see taking the beem away but I liked that if I was in trouble that I could move my reciever to a better spot and then through to him, they need to bring that back plus it was great when during a running play I could controll my blocking at the same time and where is Half back pass one of my favorite plays. Pasta I need your help please try to tell them about some of this or tell me how I can do it. I definately want the Helmets for the Pro Bowl and six Captain patches like NFL has. Pasta I want to end this with I love your site and I have learned the most because you about updates for Madden, Thankyou.

yeah that really annoyed me when i got the game and they had switched the "LB" and "Y" buttons around, playing 09 for a whole year u get used to those controls and then to just swith them out of the blue was odd, im starting to get used to it now, but sometimes when ur under the pump, getting pressured by a d-lineman u jst automatically hit the button then only to realise that uve thrown to the wrong guy and its turned into a pick 6 lol

Josh Johnson from Tampa def needs an upgrade also man, that crazy. The coaching staff loves this guy, he's done nothing but make plays in the preseason but his rating is a 37..

Lets just get the rosters right in preseason and make adjustments once players actually start to play real games.

Hey Padre any word on how they are gonna handle injured or IR players being used online? (Example: Patriot users starting Tom Brady when though he was sout for the season?) If they wont lower their ratings perhaps they could simply lower their INJ rating by a sizable amount. That way even when people start them, the player is much more likely to get injured.

WHY I MIGHT NOT BUY NEXT YEARS MADDEN:
1)online co-op is only vs the computer, wtf! i was expecting 2 vs 2
2)no one noticed the frequent glitching in 2 player non online coop (absolutely piss poor QA!)
3)PAY FOR ONLINE FRANCHISE?!?! I JUST PAID $70 @ 12am to get this but you want more $?!?
4)"superstar" mode -lets just strip everything and make a fun camera game with 0 progress or point
5)no season mode whatsoever, no way to just practice fgs and punts, and chris collinsworth is the worst anouncer ever can i atleast get old madden commentary for extra money online? ill pay extra for that just to shut collinsworth up…actually feel free to include madden commentary as dlc…i seriously would pay for that…

I like the points that cae and dxfwmad made, as for anoucing it has always had some problems but that is to be expected but I like the madden commentary to be back because otherwise how could this still be called Madden when he almost doesnt have anything to do with the game at all. Hammon is horrible what happen to AL Michaels and I wish that they had at least 4 annoucers to pick from and them being Madden, Summeral, Al Michaels and Dick Stockton, The roster limits are horrible because of injuries each team usually end up with 65 players anyway plus if your trying to make a move in the non franchise roster you have to do all this back and forth stuff just to get one thing done because you have to have the required number of players, it takes to much time. As for criminal minded I dont know why your here, you didnt help me at all.

Not one guy deserves a ratings boost over Chris Henry( Bengals) a rating of 69 are you kidding me,he pretty much has the same skill set as randy moss. He had the most receiving yards in the preseason and had a touchdown in all 4 games. He needs to be better period. not to mention he has like 19 career tds and he barely seen the field.

Randy moss had 17td his rookie season. Please dont come here and compare a future hall of famer with a future inmate. The reason Henry hasnt seen the field is becuase he was either incarcerated or not the best player on the team. We are talking about the bengals here, not a winning franchise. Whether you like him or not you need to consider the reality of the situation. He just isnt that good of a player and the randy moss skills thing is rediculous. Randy has more amazing highlight catches than Henry has totaly career catches. In fact Randy might even have more TD cathces than henry has career catches. And you know what, i dont even like randy moss
