Dynamic Season and Live Run Descriptions

The NBA Live 10 features known as “Dynamic Season” and “Adidas Live Run” have been kept under wraps. While the full details of what they entail is still to come presumably via blogs and previews there were vague descriptions of them included in the demo. Also confirmed from the demo is the inclusion of a “Playoff Mode” which is a welcome return for those people who don’t want to work through an entire season of Dynasty and not be assured of even making the playoffs.

Dynamic Season appears to be aimed at people who have wanted a way to play along with the current NBA season. By going on a day-by-day basis or using Rewind games it will be possible to play the season out under real world circumstances. While it sounds great in theory, I have to wonder how many people have the patience to continue moving in a season at that pace. Not to mention how many will still be playing Live 10 come April and beyond.

Live Run sounds as though it will offer some form of pickup games online in the mold of Online Team Play. What I like about this is not only that you get to select the player you want to control and strategically form a team with others, but also that it is playing to 21 instead of a full game. It has always made sense to provide some online options that can be completed in 10-15 minutes as opposed to the 45+ minute commitments of most standard games.

Ever heard of PSN or XboxLive??? They have demos there, really cool (sarcasm)…or even Blockbuster. I heard they have games too. I'm not a Live fan. I got 08 and played it very little and always played 2K8 to get my NBA fix. I got 09 last year and never played it so I don't plan on getting this game no matter what but I will be getting NBA 2K10 (hopefully)

So thats it as far as modes go? Man 2k put a flesh out My Player mode, allowing you to play online 5v5 with a team of My Players or NBA teams. Online Association with D and summer leagues. If live doesnt have a fleshed out Be a Pro mode, Im am simply gonna pass on this game and get 2k10. Seems like Live is pulling the old remove a feature, bring it back a few years later as brand spanking new…

im critizing the game because i dont know how this guy wants them to add all this stuff and they havent got there gameplay up to par its been lacking for the past couple years all i said was once they can get the gameplay to look tight then they can focus on that extra stuff ya know to make the game more authentic but right know im happy with what they are doing very much improved from last year

As I said before live has to much ground to make up in 1 year, they are headed in the right direction, but in my opinion nba 2k9 is still better than what i've seen so far with the nba live 10 demo just my opinion! I know its just a demo I'll rent the full copy

Live's A.I. is definately not better than 2K. I wil say tho that the movement is more fluid BUT that is wat makes the game look so arcade-y. No one goes from standing to full speed instantly. Live has no sense of momentum. I played the demo a lot, and the way they fall after a shot or layup looks like a fighting game. Its ridiculous.

2k's trailers are always nice but you have to admit that it look exactly like 2k9 with pre-game rituals. I just hope we will be able to have TOTAL control over our players like in live. cause i hated in 2k9 that it felt like i couldn't do the things i wanted to until the animation finished playing out.

Ironically enough it has convinced me to wait and purchase a hoops game well into the season instead of brand new.

Well thats Dynamic Season essentially.

Obviously they can't do real life DNA in franchises, but Im hoping the DNA can adapt based on performance and team structure in franchise.

yeah, a few weeks ago, it sounded like live was taking the right direction (still is) and seemed poised to pass 2k.. i dont believe in one year you could make up that much ground, but if 2k didnt add anything… then live had a shot. but after today, and actually reading what 2k has added… u could say that 2k has added more neccessary things… them being on top gives them the advantage on that.. they will never look better than live but they do have a 1up in most other cateorgories
