Appreciate all the coverage, helped me decide to go with Live for this year. No matter what game people buy its best to be informed so they can make the decisionthats right for them!

fair review 8.5 not bad but live is right there with them 8.2 so expect big things from both companies for nba live 11 and nba 2k 11

The IGN review pretty much confirms that this is 2K9.5 it got the same score as 2K9. Not that I go off IGN reviews but clearly people who've had the game haven't seen anything new to get excited about.

LOLLLLL cleary you didn't read the article, or look at the video reviews. And CLEARLY you haven't read up on 2k10.

Yea but IGN also gave NHL 10 a lower score than NHL 09 when 10 is definately better than 09. I never understood why IGN would give a game a lower score than the previous year if the game is clearly better. But all that said 2K9 is still rated higher than Live10 so by IGN's logic 2K9 is still better than Live 10 :)

It's because IGN needs to hire a sports reviewer, a guy that actually cares and knows about sports. I swear their reviews are only good for getting in game footage and seeing any glitches that may accur. I mean they complain if Kobe doesn't hit an open jumper then complain if he hits every open jumper. They don't know sports all that well but they get the game early and release vids and pics which is all I care about.

So true! The guy in the IGN video review sounds like a fuckin geek that doesn't know shit about sports! He should stick to RPG's and let a real basketball fan review the game! IGN is a joke anyways! Gametrailers normally gives good reviews.

These are the same people (IGN) who gave MLB The Show 09 a 8.7 LOL. That game is clearly the best sports game out and IMO probably the best game period.

Mo Diddley the tell it like it is-er!

Great game, but the online play drags the game down for sure.

the game should get docked more because of the terrible framerate problems. no excuse for this to be happening again after last year and even worse in some cases

IGN review of NBA 2K10: 8.5, still the game to beat and still better than LIVE. Stop denying that 2K10 isn't the better game still and stop saying that LIVE is back, cause 2K is still the Champ.

It's called an opinion, goof, not the be all end all matter of fact plus like I've even said on another website when they first dropped the Live 10 review, the review is obviously NOT a true sports gamer as he even missed several things about Live 10 that separates it from 2K10, game play wise. 2K is the animation and presentation champ, I'll give it that but that's about it, this year. I have retired from NBA2K and I'm ushering in a new day in Live 10. Live 10 feels like I'm actually on the b-ball court and I can actually CONTROL what I do (Iso-motion and shot stick don't feel like playing b-ball but I've tolerated it over the years; just not going for it, this year) and NOT let the over-animations do everything for me. I can't put my on-court game on autopilot in real life and Live 10 is a game that wants me to feel the same when I play. New level of b-ball console gaming, not the same ole, same ole like 2K10…but I do like the turbo-fatigue tie in. I need Live 11 to borrow dat, next year, lol, cuz I don't think 2K is getting me back.
Bottom line, 2K10 is NOT champ according to my feelings, my dude. U feel what u like and stop letting people and websites like IGN tell u what to feel, drone.

Who cares if nba 2k10 has ahiger score than live10. If you like tha games buy them my gosh u nerds really get worked up about this. For real tho nba live is better i just think ign didnt grade 2k correctly because they really hadnt changed a lot in this years game but who cares im getting live its better than what they(EA) has put out in a long time so LIVE fans enjoy tha game by tha way some 2k boys have switched teams lets welcome them.

OMG PASTA! THE FRAMERATE IN 2K10 IS HORRIBLE! IT'S ALMOST UNPLAYABLE! THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO LOVES 2K BASKETBALL! WHY DIDN'T YOU LET US KNOW HOW BAD THE FRAMERATE IS? I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BAD IT IS! IT DROPS ON EVERY CAMERA ANGLE! OMG I'M SO DISAPPOINTED RIGHT NOW! I'M ABOUT TO TAKE IT BACK & GET LIVE BECAUSE I CAN'T EVEN PLAY A MINUTE WITHOUT THE FRAMERATE DROPPING! I'M SO PISSED RIGHT NOW!

I talked a bunch about framerate in My Player, didn't see many problems elsewhere except for closer camera angles. I didn't notice the severe problems in regular games from broadcast cam that some people are seeing.
