Madden 10 Roster Update #7 Details

The next roster update for Madden 10 is slated to release either today or tomorrow and as such the weekly ratings details are now available. Of note is a boost to an 86 for Cedric Benson and 76 for Miles Austin. Michael Crabtree lost two points which is curious since most everyone thought he was too high coming back in. However he was not expected to play in the game this past weekend so how that would affect his rating is odd.
This time EA has provided the changes in the form of images which will make it easier to look them over. Continue on for the full list of changes in this update and leave your thoughts in the comments!

SS CJ Spillman needs to be added to Chargers roster along with DT Ian Scott…CB Simeon Castille needs to be removed to FA

but if there is no hole, its not Sellers responsebility.. but that from the O-line…. and IF theres a hole, sellers gotta block for clinton THROUGH the hole… wich he didnt do so bad, that he had to drop 5 points

EA have you noticed the huge increase in the Steelers O line or am I crazy, You downgrade a center and leave everyone else alone. Upgrade the O line to portray the real team. Mike wallace should also get a bump. He is a big play maker.

Ricky Williams deserves around an 85-87. He is averaging 5.2 yards per carry! His speed also needs bumped up, it's a joke. This guy could start on well over half the NFL teams easily right now. Miami has the best backfield in the league, hands down. R&R, Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams!

im an eagles fan and have been for the past mabey 8 years and there are so many problems with ratings on the eagles there just not accurate…. maclin carry shouldnt be a 60? westbrook gets hurt way way to much in the game… havent gone a game without him fully healthy… hobbs decreased? seriously??? eagles linebackers.. not great or outstanding but common seriously there rated so badly it hurts.. when in real life they do a good job… the d line also is a lil under scored but i dont mind that too much… shelden brown is a lil underated… he didnt give up 1 td last yr.. hes a very smart cb… overall its way too easy to run on the eagles…

dallas cowboys are way overatted … you can tell there EAs pet… miles austin is a mediocre reciever alll of a sudden he can torch defences? ya ok… anyways i pay attention to alot of ratings and alot are very badly misshandled or not handled at all…its a shame if that was my job i would love it and be up all night rating the players every week which is not that hard because you can do it at home but it dont count 4 online… idk i guess what do you expect…

I like the way Ea set up the new images, way easier to see what rating changes happend for my team and others. Maybe since this was efficient that the patch # 2 will be?

once again, the lions continue to get shafted because they contiue to lose. Calvin Johnson ran a 4.35 40 yd dash and is only a 95 speed. The entire lions coaching staff say that rookie rb aaron brown is the fastest person on the team and he has 89 speed. Stafford has look pretty good prior to his injury and is like upper 70's. Rookie DT sammie hill has flat out played great, he is being calling the next albert haynesworth by their coach (who also coached haynesworth BTW), and he is low to mid 60's. I understand they keep losing, but it is becuase they cant keep starters healthy. Look at all the injuries and all the close games. They should of beat min, and pitt. I know their record doesn't deserve it, but seriously, madden needs to give a little respect.

Now I really don't understand this weird formula that EA has for evaluating players. Michael Crabtree performs great at practice and earns a starting role in the 9ers offense and his reward: -2 from the good ole boys at EA.

I know the Bears totally choked this week, but their ratings & playcalling on Madden are terrible. Fine, drop the O-Line’s rating. Probably every one of them, especially Pace & Omiyale. But here are some guys that need boosts:
Hester, Knox, Bennett, The whole D-line except Harris, boost Hillenmeyer, N.Roach, Afalava, Hanie, K.Davis
add Gaines Adams & remove M.Gaines,
As for the playcalling, every single play that’s simulated or “Ask Madden”-ed…is some predictable 2 WR set with the FB running out in the flat to catch a pass. How often does J.McKie catch passes? Where are the 2 TE & 3 WR sets? At least set their rotation better so that Olsen lines up out wide some…and speed does nothing in Madden except for after the catch. It’s impossible to throw the ball deep on All-Madden unless you’re throwing to someone 6′6. Where are the Hester & Knox deep balls? Come on now. And there is no Wildcat options for Hester, I know it’s barely used but should at least be in the playbook.
When is Madden going to allow lateral PASSES (i.e. what the Bears almost did last night on the kick return, and plays like the Music City Miracle, etc.)???

Big Ben, Hines Ward, Santonio, Heath Miller, Mike Wallace, The Whole O line, Mewelde Moore and Rashard Mendenhall. They all need to be bumped up, this is the best steeler offense in a long time. They are putting up huge numbers.

when will the Saints be shown some love? the linebacking core is slow… the Darren Sharper is slow as hell… 83 and nearly 3 returns for almost 100 yds…. there has been improvements.. but the oline still needs improvement. Running backs aren’t breaking many takles… Pierre Thomas is not as quick as he should be.. but think his ratings are fine. the defense needs to see improvement… thanks…

Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add Walt Harris back on the Niners roster, I know he is on IR but it really sucks for him to be completely removed from the game. There is roster spots available on the 49ers roster so he CAN be adden, and please don't remove Jeff Ulbrich… keep them both in (FRANCHISE REASONS). Matt Wilhelm was signed, Ulbrich on IR… so with all that, Niners would be at 55 players on the madden roster, which is good.

Steve Slaton's rating went down? The Texans OL rating should go down. Slaton is still just as explosive, they are just finding ways to get him the ball. Also, on update #8 Miles Austin should be about an 80 or so. And why is Jones-Drew going down. He's top 5 RB in the league. JaMarcus Russell and Jake Delhomme should have 60 ratings and not a single point higher. They are horrible. The same is for Derek Anderson and Josh Johnson. Matt Schaub is leading the league in TD's and Passing yards. 87 Rating at least. And just a question.. why does Antonio Cromartie play much higher than his low to mid 80's rating on this game? I don't understand. He seems to have 108 speed. Speaking of speed. Johnny Knox is one of the faster players in the league. 96 spd 96 accel. Route running should be a little higher too
