More eyes on the football game. The college basketball games sell so little that they don't care as much.

I like the fact that they will be updating teams and player attributes. I like the fact that teams will be properly ranked as the year goes on in terms of strengths and weaknesses...Adds a new level of fresh....

I think this opens the door to a very cool possibility for Madden - using dynamic update technology to upgrade the commentary during games. If you could use stats gleamed from the game's season and have those numbers influence the commentary, along with the real CBS, NBC, FOX, and ESPN licenses, there's no reason why Madden couldn't be the best sports game, ever.

Will never happen. First of all the sports licenses require that games are released every year. Past that they would lose way too much money by skipping years. They would not be able to make anywhere near what they do on sales of a new game by selling downloadable updates.

Hey pasta, I ran into a comment from the sk update reaction post. I forget the name and I apologize. But the dude had a decent idea. I think it would be cool to get a reaction from the pasta followers. His idea was for sports titles to go to a two year cycle. and release rosters at a higher price then normal on the off year via download or via disc for those with out online capabilities.

Now i know this would never work for titles like nba live and nba 2k. They would never agree to that. but for titles such as Madden and possibly even MLB 2k for the 360 i think this would be a great idea.
These are the only two titles that really do not have any competition. In MLB 2k's case this would be very logical becasue they can not seem to get thier feet on the ground. Also i do believe this would work for Madden as long as the game came out pretty much flawless.

But what im really asking is do you think that sports gamers would be willing to go along with this and also in that off year with only roster downloads what do you think a price point would be.
