Week 13 Ratings Change Suggestions

The first update in the last three weeks and only the third update in the last eight weeks is set to be out on Friday. As such there should be some pretty significant changes given the gaps in updates and the developments on the field. Thoughts from the previous weeks of ratings discussion carry through to now.

The Steelers have struggled lately losing their last four games and to poor teams at that. Most criticized seems to be the secondary where the 88 rated Ike Taylor may be benched. Another team that has had trouble is the Patriots and their defense should see downgrades as it has been picked on as of late. Bruce Gradkowski has taken over in Oakland and done a respectable job. He threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns to beat Pittsburgh. At the moment he is only rated a 62 which is three points under JaMarcus Russell. The Redskins have now at least gotten competitive and Jason Campbell has shown improvement. His 30-42-367 and three touchdowns may have been his best performance to date. Also Clinton Portis is on the way to the IR.

As always leave your thoughts in the comments on which players are deserving of a ratings boost or downgrade.

Yeah you guys are all right … hopefully they find a better way to rate the players someday because Im not liking how they dont even no how the player did so they just give him like a negative five points because really I dont even think that they try hard to get all the ratings right I just think they randomly go out giving people boosts and decreases. We need a better system.

Julius Peppers had a bad season in 07. Should he have been an 85 even though he has put up double digit sacks every other year he has been in? Of course not. Farve had a bad end of season with the Jets, but look what he has done and what he's doing now. He should not have came in the game ranked that low anyway. Some of these players that are having good seasons is just that. A good season. Then they will fall off and you never hear from them again. Some will keep it up and continue to be recognized as stars. What was the purpose of EA's new rating system if they are still going to raise and drop everyone every time they make a good play or a bad play.

V. Young:85-Playing good smart football, maybe hope for him after all.
K. Britt:82-Really Stepped up in Gages absence.
J. Cook:79- Better than Crumpler these days and should be rated so
M. Roos:97- 2nd best LT in the game.
D. Stewart:94- One of the big reasons CJ is on his way to 2K yards.
J.Gage:80 – Doing great before the injury, and was injured making a bad ass catch.
R.Hood:78- 3picks in 3games one for a TD, should still be the starter.
K.Mawae:92-Still one of the best centers and is better than a 89.
J.Scott:88-Another strong link in the chain that is helping VY & CJ make plays
C.Finnegan:94- one of the best lock down corners in the game today, and he is the Titans secondary.
J.Ford:80
T.Bown:85
W.Hayes:79
K.Bulluck:95-Still in the top 5 Linebackers.
E.Amano: 72- Lets see if he can HOLD that.
A.Hall: 85-Carry needs to go down.
M.Griffin:83-Not the same layer he was last season.
C.Hope:85- Bad coverage but he does have a pick and makes some tackles
N.Washington:75- He Cant catch the deep ball and makes VY & the Titans look bad.
J.Kearse:70-Not the guy that came back to TN last season.

VY at an 85 is crazy right now. He may get there. But as is id say he needs at least two more 300yard passing games before he could be an 85. He is more like a 78. I dont think one good game is enough to make a player an 80 rated. He needs a few more. PS throwing for less than 200 yards is generally not considered a good game

Cook hasn't played much and his stuff is pretty good where its at based on that. Crumpler has still been more productive than Cook thus far. Cook is the future

Just about everyone on the Titans needs a boost, they were all dropped crazily and deserved it at the time @ 0-6… Now they've won 5 of 6 they definitely have a lot of guys needing some upgrades.

As for trowing screens lol, don't really think many of those upgrades would really help the screen game. Should we not give credit where credit is do based on fear of screen passes? That would be odd

3 of his last 4 starts over 200 yards, and one was for over 300… How many guys throw for over 300 yards with regularity that are not in the 90s? He is more like an 82

Since returning from his hamstring Injury Cortland Finnegan has returned to Pro-Bowl form.

He held Reggie Wayne to 4 catches for 48 yards last week. He was on Wayne almost the entire game. And 25 of those yards came on one catch where Dallas Clark bumped Finny off of Wayne.

Nick Harper just sucks. Move him down to the 50's. He's slower than Chris Hope, he gives 10 yards of cushion and still gets beat over the top.

And Ahmard Hall is playing better then any FB has since Lorenzo Neal was 27 years old.

You can reduce his carrying if you want to (Fumbled vs. Colts), but his awareness, and every blocking attribute needs to be bumped way up.
