Madden 10 Roster Update #10 Details

The first roster update since mid-November for Madden 10 that was supposed to arrive today has hit a snag. EA Sports now states that they have come across a bug that will delay its release. The earliest it could make its way out is early AM Saturday. Considering it will be the weekend it is within reason that it could end up actually being a longer wait but that is the most recent information that has been provided. Should any new developments take place regarding the status of this roster I will post the news.

With the gaps in updates (this is just the third in the last two months) it contains a significant number of ratings adjustments and roster moves. Vince Young moves up to a 79 while Chris Johnson didn’t get the 99 many may have expected. Drew Brees falls a point short of hitting a 99. Darrelle Revis reaches 99 but no increase is made for Charles Woodson. Brett Favre, Philip Rivers, and Aaron Rodgers are nudged up to 93.

Chris Redman jumps from a 63 to a 69 after taking over for the injured Matt Ryan. Raiders fans will be stuck with a 67 rated Bruce Gradkowski into January now as he’s somehow only rated two points higher than JaMarcus Russell. In the midst of a five game losing streak the Steelers actually gain more points in ratings than they lose.

Just in case anybody wanted to know, it says the Lions didn't have any ratings changes, but there were several. Aaron Brown speed went up from an 89 to 91, he went up at a 68 overall. Will Heller went up from a 66 to a 70. A bunch of the backup o-linemen went up and Jon Jansen went down. EA still should have done more with this team.

Im a Lions fan myself and I think they have done plenty. I was pretty much satisfied when Delmas got bumped to an 82 rating and his potential increased to an A. I seriously see him being the best safety in the NFL in 2-3 more seasons…maybe less if the Lions can build a good defense around him.

Only thing im still minorly upset about is how underated Gosder Cherilus is…Madden 10 is treating this guy like a 1st round bust but he improves on a weekly basis…dont get it. Most overated player is Ernie Sims. Hes only played 8 games this season (started 5) and has only gotten 28 tackels. Hes not a Jim Schwartz kind of linebacker so Im assuming his time in Detroit will be over very soon.

What's the deal with Nate Clements? I know he is hurt, but has he lost his starting job for good? I know he was benched for the Indy game but the man who replaced him, Tarell Brown, has been benched for Dre Bly.

I'm trying to start a 49ers franchise and wanted to know the CB situation with them. I think I should keep Clements in the starting role or should I move him to dimeback, any thoughts?

There next update is going to be Wild Card weekend. If you remember correctly, the take all the players off there little IR symbol things at the end of every regular season.

The Bucs have 5 kick blocks this season by 5 different players. Bucs kick/punt returner Clifton Smith has won special teams player of the week. In addition, Clifton has one highest return averages in the league. The Bucs are among the top of the league in every special team category yet their special team rating is very low. The Bucs coach is not 45 & fat. What does Bucs DE Styles G. White have to do to get a boost. Styles has at least 1 sack in every game played since replacing the departed Gains Adams in the line up. The only games that Styles does'nt have since replacing Adames weeks ago, is the 1 game he missed due to injury & the 1st game back from injury. Styles now leads the Bucs in sacks yet he has'nt received a boost all year. Antonio Bryant had 3 catches to make ESPN's top 10 playes of the week, in the last 2 weeks yet not boost. Don't tell me it's because the teams is losing because player ratings have never been about winning & losing. A Raiders CB had a well deserved 99 rating on a losing team last year.

Technically it's bush for the saints, but thomas usually gets more carries than bush or bell.

Though with reggie healthy and stepping up this week, he may get more chances. He was by far our best rb in that game(actually running).
