While the full fact sheet for MLB 10: The Show has yet to be released most of the new features and additions have already been unveiled through the previews and cover announcement press release. Certainly there will be numerous improvements made to various areas of the game however the items that will be heavily marketed are already out there.

That belief is essentially confirmed given the back of the retail box displays only those new features which have already been discussed. Based on the poll from yesterday nearly 80% of people are content with the information on MLB 10 thus far. Continue on to view the full back of box image.

      Yeah I noticed that too.

I just hope they've improved the load times this year. You'd think with the installs they would be better.

Just confirmed on OS that this is not the real back of the box.

I thought it seemed strange to get this already..

Yeah, its probably just a mock-up, as many of the screenshots are from last year (Teixeira pic). It would also be a bit strange to get a pic of the back of the box before the front, don't you think? lol

I've been thinking up ways to explain to my wife why I'm going to be buying a new game system for just one game since the day I traded in 2k10 for Xbox 360 last year. At that time I swore I would never touch a 2k baseball game again, and I'm sticking to it. Now I just need to figure out how to smoothly break it to her when The Show releases this year. She just doesn't understand the fact that someone can spend nearly 400 dollars to get one game. She does know what a baseball nut I am though, but this one is going to be a tough sell. I wish I had the all black Xbox 360. Then I could at least try to be covert and switch them out. She might not even recognize that they are different systems.

Heh.. this is funny. I'll want to get a PS3 just for a few games as well. That would be The Show and the Uncharted series. Maybe you can sell her (show vids, previews) of Uncharted to win her over. Of course… then you may never get to play baseball on the system. *sigh*

And don't forget Heavy Rain on PS3, that looks very promising…

dude its easy just do what i did, me and my wife argee on every financial decision, i told i wouldnt agree to her getting her nails done or purchasing any new hand bags until she agreed that i could have a ps3 and the show. and believe me she didnt put up a figth at all. and now that we have it and watch blu ray in high def she enjoys it as much as i do cuz she is a movie nut.

Yeah, she's not really interested in the whole blu-ray angle. I've tried that already. If there's anything that might sell her it's Little Big Planet.

What about more control and less randomness in fielding, in particular ground balls? This has been a glaring problem for some time.

1080p this year please!!!! I have one complaint about the show, they still don't have the individual uniforms for the allstar game , if they put that in the game its going to be hard for me to keep my clothes on "best sports game ever" atleast top 3

Just FYI this is NOT the real back of the box art. This comes from SCEA community manager Russell.

When is this shit gonna hit the xbox. Im sick of 2K's shitty baseball game. Effin had to pull an EA on everyone.

Pasta the game was great last year other than some very minor glitches with commentating and online I'd take Show 2010 with just a roster update.

Im a loyal 360 gamer, mainly because most of my friends and family play on live. But i see this year being a big turn for the ps3. I also have a ps3 and i love it i just dont do much with it because like i stated before my friends and family play on live. I would say i have 15 good friends i play with regularly on live. and out of that 15, eleven are getting a ps3 with income tax becasue of The Show, we are all big baseball fans, and God of War droping in march and april. so if thats the scale in just 15 friends imagine how its going to be with whole gaming community. This will probably be the year Ps3 leap frogs microsoft. and im not knocking the 360 because i really enjoy it. just tryin to give an unbiased opinion becasue i see both sides.

LOL last years installment of The Show was the reason 5 of my friends got a PS3, now were all in baseball heaven! IMO this game is the best sports game on the market today, and it's the reason I refuse to buy underacheiving games like Madden or NCAA Football (even though footballs my favorite sport).

        December 19, 2009 at 4:26 pm

agreed!!! i still play the show 09 over most of my sports titles.but like i said god of war has a strong following and will move consoles on its own. and alot of people are upset over the showing of mlb 2k last year so i see a big shift in tide coming during the second quarter of next year. most people are smart enough to realize they dont have to deal with inferior products and most baseball fans that are gamers are pretty hardcore fans and I my self do not want a second rate baseball game when something like The Show is available and it really seems thats what everyone else is thinking also.

    Never. Its made by Sony..

I think that the Big unannounced feature is the PS motion controller support. It only makes sense why they would create a preview back of box and this is not the final. It makes perfect sense since MLB 10 would really show how intricate the motion controller is and both are scheduled to release in the spring
