Wild Card Weekend Ratings Suggestions

The final roster update for Madden 10 won’t arrive until the Friday before the Super Bowl but for the sake of keeping track of performance these posts will continue until then. Wild Card Weekend had three boring games before it was closed out by an incredible offensive battle and stunning OT finish.

Some of the names of note that performed well included pretty much everyone offensively for the Cardinals and Packers. Charles Woodson won Defensive Player of the Year so he should see a boost from that. The big names for the Cowboys showed up and Darrelle Revis shut down Ochocinco for the second straight week. Also in consecutive weeks it was Donovan McNabb that struggled immensely as the Eagles offense couldn’t get anything going and Carson Palmer looked terrible against the Jets.

What players performed above their rating or disappointed over the weekend? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

I think everyone is overlooking Cedric Benson's performance against a pretty good Jets D. Also Jermichael Finley. Damn he's gonna be even harder to get in a fantasy draft franchise now. I also think they should go back and look at the stats for alotta positions and raise some overllooked players like Quan Cosby being a 58 and Tim Crowder being a 68,

Vick should get an accuracy increase.

Warner should go back up to 93 or 94 like he was when the game came out, he killed the Packers #2 rated Defense.

ok ray rice most defnitly deserves aanupgrade so does benson, i would say you give doucet a small upgrade cause he was finnaly givin a chance to prove himself and is charels woodson a 99 if he is the most dominant defensive player in the game he needs to be a 99 he dominates in tackling,covering playmaking arron rodgers shreeded a pretty good cards pass d so he needs an upgrade and most def decrease pats d and brady

Where was the most dominate player in the game when the cards put up 51 points?? if he is the most dominate he should have been able to shut down one wideout alone. Kurt threw the ball every where that game. Ill be honest i just caugh the highlights so i dont know if something happend to woodson so some one correct me if im wrong but if you have one of the best pass defenses in the nfl with the "most dominate" defensive player in the league a team shouldnt be able to put up points at will.

Its like no one watches football… Charles woodson being the league Defensive Mvp is a shame. I am a huge Nnamdi fan I have taken notice to how awesome revis was this season. Revis hands down shoulda won that AWARD!!! Woodson is constantly getting beat he takes way more chances than any corner in the league other than Asante that is.. I watched the Arizona vs Green Bay game more than once and WOODSON WAS PATHETIC!!!!! He was destroyed by FITZ AND WARNER.. LEAGUE DEFENSIVE MVP MY ASS!!!!!!! At least REVIS WOULD HAVE SHUT DOWN FITZ….

Woodson was pushed down on 2 of Fitzs TDs. And woodson has more tackles…..ints……ints for tds….a Heisman Trophy…..sacks……Woodson is flat out in more plays than Namdi or Reevis. Both are get shutdown corners but DPOY is soo much more.
IF your thinking was true…last year Ware would have won it for having 22 sacks and Harrison only had 16 but Harrision was on th Shut down Steeler D last year and was in more key plays.

Ratings should not change solely based on one game performance…ie Charles Woodson has a body of work which translated into DPOY…obviously an increase should be expected here…

There should be no upgrades to ANY Pack or Cards offensive players. Both D's played horrible. I dont know why people love watching games like that. Makes me sick to see such terrible play on the defensive side of the ball.

Greene should see a speed boost a aguility boost and a vision boost. The whole D-fense should see a boost Coleman should be faster then he is so should Bryan Thomas, Calvin Pace, Westerman, Mike DeVito should be at least rated a 69 and Lowery should see a boost too he is a really good cover guy when a reciever is in front of him. Drew Coleman is a better cover guy then they make as well and Marques Douglas has been good on the line for the Jets no Jenkins and Washington and the Jets get to Playoffs, Cotchery should see a boost in speed and awarness, plus something for Punt Return, and Brad Smith should get some speed boost too for the Kick return and his Wild cat play and he some get a boost in vision. Lets just face I am a Jets fan but a fare one and I don't care about any other team, ah I like the Cardinals and seeing Favre on the Vikes has been interesting I am glad to see New Orleans doing good and I like Peyton Manning.
