  • Kotaku did an interview with EA regarding the team names that were recorded by the announcers in NCAA Football 10 for use with Teambuilder and the process involved.
  • Joystiq has the news that Tecmo Bowl Throwback will be arriving as a downloadable title for the 360 and PS3. Based on the SNES version of Tecmo Super Bowl it will have updated graphics and sound effects but will keep the original plays, teams, and presumably players from the original.
  • Destructoid has a comprehensive write-up on Quick Hit Football. For those of you unfamiliar with the web-based game it’s worth checking out.
  • A scan of Playstation Magazine over at MiddleEasy shows some new images of EA Sports MMA. One includes George Mousasi and the other Vladimir Matyushenko.

    Quick hit football was a horrible experience when I tried it.

    Their lead designer Brandon Justice was fired from EA and 2K for a reason.

    I dont get the appeal of quick hit football. Nothing about a football experience to me is 'quick' and in RPG games you still control your actual characters.

    Plus, i dont even know what football fans they are going after. The NFL's demographics are very much in-line with video gamers (that 18-34 male segment both are heavy) so, to me, i dont know if there is an actual niche that will even grasp this. At least not enough to make it profitable.

    Roy Williams – 30
    rest of cowboys -10
