New MLB 10: The Show Screenshots

SCEA has released a handful of new screens for MLB 10: The Show. More player action shots are featured including Alex Rodriguez, David Wright, and Ryan Howard. All the screenshots released thus far can be found in the gallery including the latest six. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments after checking them out!

Unbelievable, once again, they have the uniforms screwed up. The mets road helmet is supposed to have a blue fading brim. I love this game but they always mess up the uniforms especially the pathetic fake throwbacks. I hope they get the throwbacks right this year.

I still see clipping issues and it still has that “arcady” look. I hope that these screen shots are still in the development stages as it still has a long way to go to catch up with MLB 2K

The colors like crisp. I just don't get the arm length on the players. They look so stocky and short. Something is up with the player models.

Can you be more specific. Your comment really doesn't make sense as you would think that the MLB style guide would include its actual true to life uniforms.

I'm with Dr. Gooden because if they messed up the Mets they probably messed up the Braves too. Last year they had the wrong hats for the wrong jerseys. I was so surprised they never updated it in a patch too because they actually had all of the right uniforms, they just messed up which hats went with which jerseys.

please do not come in here and ACT like you are concerned, you are here for one purpose to promote 2k games. It is friday shouldn't you be going to the bank to cash your check from 2k?

As I have said in other posts, I was an early adopter of the 360, I bought mine on launch day, I have owned every single 2k baseball game, and they have all left me disapointed. This xmas I bought a ps3 and the show 09. I was blown away. It is such a better experience. Now try and flame me, but I own both systems, and have had a 360 much longer than the ps3. I also coach baseball at the high school level, so I understand the game, most likely at a higher level than you. So come in here with your clipping, renderings, or whatever else, and I will call you out.

Yo Pasta what's the difference between sizzle trailers and sizzle screen shots? Both are equally useless in determining anything about the game. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

SCEA (and I'm assuming 2k also) is given the MLB Style Guide which is the uniform combinations that each team SHOULD wear (hypothetically) for each scenario (home, away, home alt, away alt, etc)

However.. some teams differentiate from their own guide and therefore we get a mis-match.

I don't know if it's the ML team's job to submit their updated combos or extra combos but I know that if the game makers differentiate from the MLB Style Guide they are given.. they could have consequences.. although I don't know what they would be, I'm assuming wads of cash.

That's my best attempt at an explanation anyway

There are definately no similarities between style guides used by the show and 2k. While the show is a far superior game, the one area that's been lacking in my opinion is the uniforms especially the throwbacks which are the one things the 2k series get right. I've never even played 2k but I've watched people play and have seen enough to know the game is garbage but the throwbacks are awesome, like the throwbacks in MVP05. I just hope the show finally gets it right this year.

sre you serious? great looking shots? dude.look at the players.. look at the super mutant bodies..what is everyone blind or something?if u compare mlb 2k10's graphics to this junk 2k10 i would have to say 2k wins that no problem . other then that we'll just have to wait another month.

Most of the pictures are those that are already big guys, Mauer, A-roid, Howard, Manny, these guys are big guys. the picture of jeter and Ellesbury look fine.

I hope next year SCEA works on the player models, so people like you have nothing to complain about anymore. You're just lookin' for things to bash about this game. You try, but you fail.

There's actually nothin' wrong with the player models.. unless your knuckles drag on the ground. It's the best baseball game ever created right beside Pro Baseball Spirits.

First, your grammar is terrible. I don't care if you posted that using a cell phone or not. It's still bad. Second, your opinion is delusional. The Show's graphics have been much better than 2K's since 2008. I feel sorry for you cause you will never understand how much better MLB The Show is than MLB 2K. There's no contest anymore. Give it up.

I think it may a little more than that. If you notice players with the old helmets have the blue brim with the black helmet with the away jersies and match the hats in the field, the players with the new helmets have the all black helmets which are incorrect. When u wear the alternate black uniforms, the new helmets have the faded blue in the front and the old helemts are solid black with no blue brim. So seems like the old helmets match but the new helemts are flipped. Does the style guide differentiate between these two?

I think you should be able to mix and match ur uniforms and hats separately as opposed to having fixed away, alternate, throwback and throwback old choices. I like the cardinals uniforms with the red hats only, not the blue, but i have to wear the throwbacks because the away and alternate are the same blue hats. I also dont think the road team should wear their logo/mascot on their uniform, it should be the city. So if i was managing the indians, i would only wear the blue alternate jersies at home and not on the road because they say 'indians' yet that alternate jersey is only available on the road because the home alternate is the different.

That looks fantastic. I’m not much into sports, but games like this that make things so realistic and just beautiful looking. Since I’m not very coordinated, it’s nice having games that are so realistic that I can play so I can still feel cool haha.
