As much as I enjoyed doing the first NFL Mock Draft and with plans to release several along the way I have added a new section to the site. The NFL Draft page will contain any mock drafts, player related news, team focuses, and more. Already posted there is the original mock as well as some positional reactions coming out of the combine with more to follow. I may end up covering free agency as well but I have not decided that for certain just yet. You'll notice that these stories will not h...

The running back class this year is deep and talented. CJ Spiller is the biggest name but there are a bunch that have the potential to contribute right away. Spiller and maybe one other will probably be all that are taken in the 1st round but after that talent several will come off the board in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and more will be found even in the late rounds. (more...)...

There has been a lot of talk about how there are several good tackles in this draft class but none that standout as particularly dominant. I'm not sure any of those opinions will have changed after the combine workouts. At guard Mike Iupati continues to be viewed as the best in class but may have already peaked with his mid-later 1st round stock. (more...)...

The tight end class this year appears to be deep and talented. At the top are a couple players who have great potential but some question marks. But beyond those there are guys who will definitely be able to contribute as rookies even farther down the boards. (more...)...

  • Shutter Island Fends Off Cop Out and The Crazies

Despite winter storms in some areas of the country keeping people home the top five movies accounted for over $80 million. For the second straight weekend Shutter Island topped the box office. Falling a reasonable 45% from its massive opening last weekend it was able to pull in $22.2 million. The movie has already made back its budget which was a relatively modest $75 million in just 10 days. The openings for Cop Out and The Crazies were solid but unspectacular. Bruce Willis and Tracy Morga...

The Line Drive is a weekly collection of news, links, and updates that didn't necessarily warrant their own postings. THQ has released a new blog for UFC Undisputed 2010 that covers submissions. They have also put out the first Q&A responding to questions submitted by the community. The pre-order bonus for UFC  Undisputed 2010 will offer a code to download four exclusive fighters. The first has been announced as James McSweeney. The other three, though not officially revealed,...

  • Review: Hot Tub Time Machine

    Posted February 27th, 2010 at 9:29 am 8 Comments »
There is something endearing about how Hot Tub Time Machine is completely upfront about its ridiculous scenario and the events that take place throughout. The cast is likable and the 80s setting is refreshing and nostalgic. There are some big laughs here but it just swings and misses a little too often to put it in the class with some of the more highly regarded comedies released in the last few years. (more...)...
