Early this morning the nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced with the show being held on Sunday March 7th. This year the Best Picture race was extended to include 10 films which has resulted in a few more mainstream films being recognized such as District 9 and The Blind Side. The leaders in nominations are Avatar and The Hurt Locker both coming away with nine. Continue on to view the complete listing of all category nominations and I’ll be back with reaction and notes on them later today.
