Madden 10 OF Roster Update Next Week

Online Franchise will finally be receiving a roster update in Madden 10 next week. This has been confirmed and will be the first update for the mode since way back in October. The updated roster will be utilized when any new online franchise is created.

It will be interesting to see if this update will be identical to the final Madden 10 roster update that was released last weekend. That one of course sparked some controversy when a few players that had announced their retirement, most notably Kurt Warner, were completely removed. In the poll I posted yesterday it has been a consistent 80/20 return with most favoring the idea that players who retire following the completion of their season but before the end of the NFL season should remain on their respective teams.

If the same roster update is used that would mean any new online franchise would be started up without Kurt Warner on the Cardinals or available to choose from in a fantasy draft.

What ever happen to adding features to online franchise because it was suppose to been so easy to do. I lost all hope for Madden and I can see them screwing up NCAA football online dynasty with phone apps and other crap so get ready.

Great news Pasta! Thanks for keeping after it to get this done! They didn't have to do this, but they did and gave us something to play until '11. Time to restart the franchise!

I also noted that ea REMOVED BOTH CHRIS HENRY AND GAINES ADAMS are you serious i mean i guess i partially understand removing the retired players even though im against it but if your going to do this kind of thing then why didnt you take of sean taylor i think its wrong to remove the players who had passed away

i hope they release a roster update with the missing players back on their respective teams, or at least in the FA pool. come on ea, do this one last time.

few rules no going on 4th till 4 qrt or down by 21 no nanos no continues 5 wide formation unless down buy 21 and there will be no comp trades no fantasy draft either
games will be moved 3 times a week and 2 on weekend 8min wiht acc clock and playoffs will be 10 min with a 12 min superbowl

I wish Donny would move Bucs Geno Hayes to ROLB & Quincy Black to LOLB in additon to boosting WR Antonio Bryant, CB Aqib Talib, DE Styles G. White & FS Tanard Jackson. How about a special teams rating up grade for the Bucs who highest special teams rating in the NFL. Can kick returner Micheal Spurlock get a speed boost please.

Well otherwise franchise mode gets all screwed up. Also It's kind of weird seeing players who have passed away catch a TD or sack you… But I agree that it seems wrong to do remove them. EA really needs to be consistent with who they take out of games. Sean Taylor was left in Madden 08 and now Favre will remain in 10 even if he retires. Meanwhile Kurt Warner no longer exists… and Gaines Adams and Chris Henry are also gone
