MLB 10: The Show Roster Update Details

The roster update for MLB 10: The Show that was scheduled to be released today is out now. This update is particularly anticipated because it carries with it a fix to the player potential grades that was damaging franchise mode. For those of you who don’t have online access I have made the update available for download here.

Players that had “potential” rating below what they should have received adjustments in this update. However there still seems to be an inordinate number of ‘A’ rated minor league prospects that could cause an issue down the line as well. Continue on for screenshots of the player movement made in the March 8th roster update and leave your thoughts in the comments!

Yeah, the projected starting 1B of the Pirates can't get into the game. That's either pretty bad on SCEA's part, or it shows just how irrelevant the Buccos have become. Oh well, if he makes the squad out of spring training, he'll be on the update.

when they update the rosters where do I have to go to get them. thats sports connect thing dont have crap. pedro alvarez and two more main prospects arent in the game. they are the pirates future and arent even in the game. i love this game its the best and so realistic but i hate to settle for playing with rosters that arent current. hell they dont even have haywerd in there for the braves thats crazy

You can either get the opening day roster update from SCEA, which won’t have any of the minor league players who haven’t yet played in MLB, or you can download Knight’s rosters under the file name O.S. Full Minors from the Roster Vault.

They can’t put in minor league players because they are not under contract with the Players Association. They will end up having Heyward though because he made the team for the Braves.

And they won’t have Donnelly because he was one of the few guys who refused to sign some kind of deal after the ’94 strike I believe…something that prohibits him from being in MLB games.

Am I the only person that still plays this game on PS2? One of few I suppose, since there is no online play, even though all I did online was get the roster updates.

It's an MLBPA thing that they can't put players in the game until they play a regular season game. That's the same reason Strasburg and Chapman aren't in the game too, I'm waiting for Austin Romine and Jesus Montero, prob not going to happen this year though.

Hello baseball fans! A big baseball fan from Holland here! since baseball isn`t that big over here I ask your help. I purchased ” the show” recently and want some info on roster updates. I don`t have an online connection (yet). Is it possible to download the roster updates on this site and put in on a usb and then copy it on my ps3? if no, how does it work? I really think the game looks spectacular..hitting is still a bitch but I hope that will be better the more I play…I`m not into the whole franchise thing, just want to play a season with the realtime rosters..thanks!

I've played various online games on MLB 10 THE SHOW where the entire system freezes or cannot connect. I've also had trouble intentionally walking a player only to see the system hit him instead. Is this a bug in the game?

where is jim edmonds? and how can i get to use him in the show? i don't wnat some made up player, some idiot made by creating him i want the actual player, w/ his photo, stance, and career numbers.
the guy is a role player for the brewers, playing every other day for them, he's been in the league like 15 years, and what makes it worse is he is their 2nd best outfielder on the team and tearing it up. when is the next update coming out? he better be on it!

I Have played both MLB 10 the show, (I own) and I have played MLB 2k10. I love them both. The only reason I don't own MLB 10 2K10 yet is every time I go to get it for PS3, its sold out. The Graphics, and detail in the Show are amazing, but I think the pitching and the batting dynamics in 2K10 are more life like, and is the future of gaming Sims.even EA Hockey is using this method. using the left, and right sticks are far superior, and way more enjoyable to play, the just pushing a button takes away from the game. If they could make the show using the left, and right sticks 2K10 wouldn't stand a chance. So, if you work for this company and are reading the posts, Please come out with a patch or whatever you call it, That we can download so we can use the sticks instead of buttons. If that is a possibility. you would make every show owner extremely happy.
