i actually liked more 2k10s in this group. both games seem to have some faces well done and others way off.

  • sroeland

Yikes! That Show pic makes Prince Fielder look like he as HUGE shoulders!

    And both A-Rods look terrifying.

Plus, the Broxton screens look like two completely different people. I know the facial hair has something to do with it, but still…

  • Carlos J.

you should add a 3rd option to the polls, “both missed”. you pretty much force us to pick between 2 crappy shots sometimes. and that can skew the results

  • travis

well i guess the question isnt which one nailed it but just which one is better of the two.

A lot of 2k faces look kind of plastic to me. Not a game breaker, but I'm just saying.

  • oliver

The Show needs new player models. Their shoulders are HUGE

  • sroeland

Agreed, Carlos…the pic from the Show of Miriano Rivera is obstructed by the shadow covering half his face. And the one from 2K10 appears to be in a night game. Different lighting can effect how the face appears.

fun comparisons nice job. i was about half and half on this one

  • http://twitter.com/ExtremeGamer ExtremeGamer

For CC, how about the CC from the Bad Company 2 videos? :)

  • MattHolliday_7

How about a Matt Holliday comparison?

  • t. daley

In all honesty who gives a flying F@#%. Its not like the game is played in closeup cutscenes and the fact that both companies have to use stock photos of the players to render the likenesses it just doesnt matter. David Wright, Derek Jeter, Tim Linsicomb, Evan Longoria, Ryan Howard, Dustin Pedroia, and Joe Mauer were all cover athletes and all had there mugs rotoscoped so naturally they will look more like thier true selves. All the other players faces wont look any better than the video face that EA lets you do in there games. It has no bearing on the game and 2k will still suck and the show will always be better. Overall graphical representation, there is no doubt. The show wins by a landslide.

Really Pasta, don't you have something more meaningful to poll about then the enless 360 vs PS3 graphic debate. They are the same. Stop trying to make one console graphically superior to the other. Both consoles can render the same shit. Just the 360 has a limited amount of disc space with which to do it with.

  • Mike

    Linsicomb. Really dude?

  • Cash

dude u do know its 2k vs the show, not ps3 vs 360????

  • Jayhawker

Why do so many of The Show players look like they are suffering from Down's Syndrome?

  • Ha

    You idiot

  • boog23

I would have to say beside the Chase Utley and Adrian Gonzalez, the player models are pretty bad for both. Mariano Rivera in the Show looks like he needs to be in the hospital.

  • t. daley

No shit moron. Pasta is always doing these stupid comparison videos which is primarily a PS3 vs 360 poll. Pay attention douchebag. The fact that he is doing it on 2k vs the show is no different. WTF, do you think that 2k uses some different process to capture a players face than The show? The whole debate is useless and moot. Besides the show has much different and better lighting than 2k so all the pictures will look much different based on lighting alone.

2K made Adrian look like an eight year old with a harelip, they made Mariano look like Anderson Silva, and I don't even know what to say about Broxton. They did nail Prince though. Only one I can say that MLB really whiffed on was C.C.

  • t. daley

I am now dumber for having read this. Simpleton.

  • t. daley

EXACTLY> They are equally bad for both. Like i have said before they aren't using the real players to rotoscope there head. The best you can hope for is that they have a decent photo of the player to use. EA's photo face is better than this because at least you can actually use a profile and a front picture of your face. I am sure both companies are only using stock photos of the facial fronts only.

  • t. daley

probably for the same reason why the 2k players look like they are coming off a 3 day meth bender.

  • t. daley

Last time I checked, no one is forcing you take this poll, but then again i hear you like taking pole.

  • mikeynewyork

These faces were kind of leaning torward 2K10…Im not knocking 2Ks graphics up close but from a distance there not really too great…its been like that for a while now but w.e. They def stepped up to the plate this year but, having The Show as competition is pretty tough…The Show didnt add a whole lot but its such an awesome game…From RRTS to just the little things that happen that always amaze me…I bought 2K this year but I really wasnt feeling it…they need to build a new hitting system where you hit the ball where its pitched instead of controlling where the ball is hit…90% of where the ball is it is based on your timing…I fell in love with The Show ever since last year when I got my PS3…its a real baseball game…Thanks guys

  • TEN

Why are these two posts so far (the faces) so blurry with The Show. And such low detailed, yet when everyone else takes shots from it, it is sharp, clear and very detailed to the nearest mole and pores in the skin.

Who the f#*@ do you think you are t. daley. You are nothing but a Sony fanboy. If you hate Pasta's stuff so much please quit visiting the site. We are all completely sick of reading your comments. All you do is criticize everything and everyone on the site yet you spend all day commenting. Get bent you waste of life.

Anyone who says any of the 2K pictures are better than the Show pictures is out of their mind. Fielder is the only one even close.

  • sandul

lol… jonathan broxton got no love from either developer… I honestly saw no difference in either CC Sabathia except that the show has shadows, and 2k doesn't.

I LAWL at the fact that they made “pretty boy” a-rod fucking ugly.

  • ray

i just updated the second patch for the MLB10theshow, thanks for this update…now we all know that they are always on top of things…..just take your xtra vacation time when everythings been patch..thanks again!!

  • July41776

Am only the only one who thinks the 2k version of Broxton looks like a queer Italian guy who staring down his lover make out with another dude?

  • The Truth

u cant get any dumber a$$hole…in ur spare time u critisize other peoples opinions on a message board

  • Joe

if ur a piece of crap and u know it clap ur hands….*t daley thats ur cue!!!*

  • VoiceofReason

In all honesty, all of the sports games still need to work on getting the player likenesses down. From far away camera angles the games look great, but when you zoom in the flaws come out. For instance, when NBA 2k zooms in on the players and coaches they look like psychotic muppets and the facial expressions are just weird looking. Not to single out 2k though, because again, all the games have this issue.

  • NICEHANDSLARRY

It's weird… it's like even though the 2k faces seem closer to creating the player, The Show's faces look more realistic. Hard to say, but it's as if the 2k faces give off a cartoon vibe.

  • Jd

what about a han ram comparsion?

or a Carlos Zambrano or maybe even a rajai davis!

  • Say What I Want…….Period!

In all honesty….honestly……They both look like shit!……especially the show. (Let the lashing begin! Lol)

  • 2k rocks

    all of 2k's are better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Felkmaster

Most people on here seem to be biased except for t. daley, and he had that funny pole comment as well. Do you really care about the faces anyway? Personally graphics only have to be “good enough”. It's all about the game play.
