The complete features list for NBA 2K11 has finally made its way out. Of course the Michael Jordan related modes, the Jordan Challenge and Creating a Legend are prominent but the list also includes the new IsoMotion, Dynamic Shot Control, and the still to be detailed Playstation Move functionality. None of this is necessarily new however as it lays it all out there it does seem unfortunate that there is nothing to do with online play mentioned. Continue on to check out the full features list and leave your thoughts in the comments!

Im not going to jump out my roof till i know something about online but I am excited to see how this will turn out a potential game of the year contender

  • lynn

Any word on whether PS3 version will offer custom soundtracks like 360?

  • Anonymous

Sound Track sounds nice. IDK about the move functionality though. Perhaps they should concentrate on getting the online right first. Just a thought.

  • Anonymous

    THANKYOU…….Finally a 2k fan that gets it.

  • Anonymous

BUT……what if online and MY player modes are still not fixed. Will you still feel that way?

  • Nphillyk

Definitely excited about 2K11 this year for a number of reasons. 1) They changed the dribblling mechanics and the video showing how to pull off the new moves just looks amazing. 2) Madden 11 was a major let down this year. So I have nothing really worthwhile to play until Oct. 5th. 3) Im a big Association mode guy, but Ill definitely spend some time with Jordan Challenge and Create a Legend. 4) NBA Elite just doesn’t look like it will even stack up against 2K this year. I’m sure some were hoping to pick up both titles and see which they prefered, but based soley on the information that has been released thus far I don’t see why anyone would even consider spending one single cent on Elite.

Oct. 5th can’t get here soon enough!!!

  • Hawkeye4077

So when’s the demo coming out? I hope they improve the cpu ai and logic which always detracts from the simulation of ALL sports games. Until then, offline gameplay is just a useless waste of time.

  • Nphillyk

You’re right. I hope they fix online too, but honestly I will still buy it this year even if online not that big of an improvement over last year’s game. My reason being is because I don’t play online that often, I usually prefer the old fashioned way of just inviting a few friends over. Plus, my biggest attraction to sports titles in general is the Association/Franchise/Dynasty mode. Which is great in 2K. As long as I can download rosters and get a solid connection to the servers when I need, I will be satisfied with online.

the game that has the best soundtrack is madden cuz theyre actually played in the real-life stadiums

  • http://twitter.com/chackett12 Corey Hackett

Will elite fix boozer dunking from the foul line? Jw

  • NELL86

I understand my ps2 days(the good old days) when friends would come over and play because online wasnt as big as it is now plus we got older and started having familys and jobs so it aint as easy to do the all nighters nomore so the online thing is another option but i still will buy it if im sold when the demo comes out

  • Bux

blahahahahaaaaaa… LMAO. Man, i just spit my food out

  • IV THA UNITY

Hopefully it will work since they have contracted an outside company to handle the online portion of the game, which is a common practice that 2k has just caught on to this year… smh

  • Anonymous

Well no word on that yet. Backflash(EA MOD) is trying his best to talk everyone off the ledge……..LOL. He makes a good point though. Those videos, aside from BOOZERGATE, don’t really paint the whole picture and you have to play the demo for yourself to really decide.

So I will do that. If I don’t like it then I just won’t buy any basketball games this year. Not a big deal. I have skipped years before and I will do it again in a heartbeat. NHL 11, Madden, FIFA, will more than adequately take up my time plus with Blackops and MOH coming out very soon, sports games will be on the back burner for the most part. SHOOTERS HAVE PRIORITY…..ALWAYS.

  • Sammy

Well, custom soundtracks really sucked. It was nothing special. I would say nobody used it…

  • Weaverlynn03

everything i have read was that those videos was the finnished produck soo unless they can change the whole game around through a patch its not going to happen. and they have to fix the way people just run right through people like they are not even there. people keep saying wait for the demo why if that was the finished product the demo is not going to change anything unless they can fool u into buying the game.and i dont know why people bring up last years 2k game that was last year game. from the videaos i have seen of 2k it is prob. going to be a great game not something just thrown together to make money like elite is

  • Vegasvideopro

What I’d like to know is if you can play as the 72-10 Bulls in the Association or do you have to unlock them doing certain things in the game? I know it says you can historic teams but curious about the Bulls

  • Anonymous

I do want to hear that they have incorporated something new into My Player mode to make it fun. I never got passed 20 regular season games as it was so tedious.

  • Pokerface

    NBA 2k11 + MJ = sold.
    Elite 11 + spastic Live 07 gameplay + daley7199 = fold.

  • Anonymous

Online for 2K is a joke in their sports games no doubt, but let’s not act like Live is flawless. Daley for all the fanboy shit you claim about others, I”ve never seen you take shots at EA products which is why no one takes you seriously. 2K required some serious patches last year but at the end the game was better than Live. PERIOD. This year, RELYING SOLELY ON VIDEOS AND BLOGS, 2K appears to be the far superior game again. this is not 2K vs. EA, this is 2K11 vs Elite 11 basketball and in this match-up your favorite team got smoked.

Go ahead and accept that fact.

  • juan de leon

I totally agree, dont play much online either and as long as i have a decent roster update i am set. Come on Oct. 5, hurry up!!

  • http://twitter.com/goatnola danny

If online sucks again I will not buy another 2k game again. I don’t care how good the game is. There online servers have suck for years now. I would’nt be surprised if the servers suck again!

  • sheredia

this is an incredible idea by 2k…..i was getting tired of roster updates and a few tweaks here and there every year for sports games. madden….are you listening??

  • Stan Van Gundy

nuting about this list gets me overly excited but i am very interested to see what they do with the association and my player but those arent mentioned so this is a wait and see project for both bball games only bcuz i dont judge games until i can handle them myself

  • Bullitt_711

    funny bacon.

It does look polished. I respected Jordan, but I wish Kobe would have got this treatment last year and the game was more polished like it appears to be in these vids.

I hope that the controls are a little easier to use. Honestly everyone trumps 2K, but 98% of those people don’t have the controls mastered and force shots all game that’s easy as pie to do but takes little skill, then they tell everyone how great they are as they sqeek out wins when the opponent is doing the same cheese that they are. The controls are too difficult IMO. I’m talking about the dribbling controls and post moves controls. I had one post move and the r2, l2 dribble, and I’d use Alt B and spin and juke, but that’s kinda noobish, I’d rather be able to use the full gamet of moves, but I just never put in the time and I’d pop in old NBA Live 08 and have a blast online instead.

I was hoping to pick up Elite 11, perfect cover athlete, NBA Jam is my favorite arcade game, but it just looks like they threw it all together at the last second, it’s extremely dissapointing, I’m hoping my opinion changes in the next couple of weeks.

2K11 def looks very impressive though.

  • Bullitt_711

Lastly, in 2K, you can’t adjust rosters and settings until you are in an online game that is nails on a chalkboard. It’s embarrasing they can’t get this fixed. 2K11 should have this fixed, it takes a 4 mnutes away from a game with the adjustments, kills the exp IMO.

  • Anonymous

Understood, but you do understand that a large contingent of people DO play online and the fact the 2k has been cheating these customers for the past 5 or 6 years is a huge problem.

  • joel0078

I have bought both Live and 2K every year, for at least the last 6 years now. I think we all have enough of a “video game eye” to judge how a game plays, based on nothing more than video. Having said that, IMO, Elite looks way to pedal to the metal, non stop run and gun, nba jam 2ish for my liking this year. More than likely, I’ll be skipping EA’s title this year. However, I WILL play the demo and make my final decision from that alone.

I dont get why you would cross 2K off the list from the get go. Why not play their demo and make your decision that way? Not that I care what you do or don’t do. I just think your ignorance and favoritism towards one game over another is foolish. Respect both games, they both offer a different experience. Aside from that, something tells me you WILL be picking up 2K and will probably enjoy it a little bit. But I don’t expect you to every admit that to this crowd.

  • King3680

Sounds good to me. Just want to be able to play a good simulation basketball game. What more could they(2K) really do? They could have just polished up last years game. But with the new dribbling and the branching system, just shows that they enjoy making the best “sim” experience. Oh, they got Jordan too. For the icing on the cake! Cant wait.

Cmon Amen, there is a distinct difference between “flaws” and downright broken. Everygame has flaws. But not every game releases with broken features. 2k has been releasing a broken, non playable online feature for 6 years now. I don’t care if you play online or not. Its a major problem and it speaks volumes about the company. Also they My player was broken and after 2 patches that took a total of 3 months to get the feature was still not right. Again. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t play My player mode or not, its a problem.

I could say the same thing with Madden RA. I don’t play franchise mode so I dont care if they ever give you what you want but I do recognize its a problem for you and many and it needs to be addressed and EA has addressed it. You just didn’t like the answer and that is fine. As far as taking shots at other EA games you obviously haven’t read any of my comments concerning Tiger Woods or some of my commments on this years Madden, or my comments on the RTG mode of NCAA. Its very easy to paint me into a box when you don’t bother to do the research.

I like EA sports games in general. I have been playing them since the beginning and its what I was brought up on, so EA will always have its place. But in all honesty I really liked Live 10 as a total package and the game was a blast to play both online and off. You 2k fans get so caught up in the minutiae that its a wonder that you can even enjoy the game.

I don’t sweat the small stuff. I don’t care if Kobes shot looks 100% perfect and I certainly don’t care about whether someone has a head band on or not. As long as the game plays smooth its fine with me.

I’ll continue to keep saying this until you have all played the demo, the video only tells part of the story. When you play the game for yourselves and develop a good understanding of the control scheme then you will all see what ELITE brings to the table.

The videos you have seen are by people who don’t have a full grasping of the controls and it’s easy for the game to look really ugly. When the game is played by people who know what they’re doing then the game looks a lot better. Hopefully we will have something to show you guys that proves my point.

I think we all get that backflash, but that won’t cover for the rediculous BOOZERGATE, dunk from the free throw line. Just tell us that EA is aware and will correct this. This is the only real gripe that people had aside from the obvious 2kfanboy bashing.

The Boozer issue is something that is going to get addressed. We’re listening to everyone’s feedback and take action on issues that people have about the game. When the demo arrives I’ll be escalating feedback to the development team and they work on issues that need to be fixed like the Boozer dunk.

  • projectkage

Daley I want you to READ THIS THOROUGHLY and tell me what is wrong with ALL of these statements. THIS is the way EA screws their fanbase year after year. Look under KPG 2 FRESH’s post of what the rEAnimator had posted earlier. http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/135/1968646.page

  • jonathan

you can make plenty of shots with good shooters on 2k. you just have to use them how they really shoot. steph curry is dangerous off the dribble-pull up, korver is a great spot up shooter, and 2k’s ratings (shoot in traffic, shoot off dribble) really help them shoot effectively as they do in real life.

  • Trey

yup. im kinda tired of drake though.

  • o’lfactory

woah hold up. didnt get past the kobe comment. KOBE IS NOT, NEVER WAS, NEVER WILL BE JORDAN

  • guest

“been playing since the beginning”??? No way you’re old enough to be playing EA games since day 1 kid. If you’re trying to make everyone believe you grew up on “Lakers vs Celtics” for the Sega Genesis, you’re kidding yourself. No way would a 30 plus year old man act the way you do here.

  • Anonymous

Seriously Joe you need to keep up. I have state adnauseum why I won’t support 2ksports any longer. I am not going to repeat my self. What I will tell you is that 2k could make the “perfect game” and I still won’t buy it as a matter of principle.

  • Anonymous

    EXACTLY!

  • Anonymous

    who cares?

  • guest

no need to explain yourself to me. I dont work for 2k. I’ve said to you before, everyone has their own choice, there’s no need for you to bash the choices of others. Enjoy Elite.

  • Die

perfect example of why “The State of Commenting” post was made, pure ignorance

  • daley666

you are a real joke keep it up, i mean we all know pasta is biased and thats cool he still tries to report 60/40 you just make an ass of yourself and you are proud of it lol

  • FredCarbonara

good lord why does every sports video game company think we want a lame as hell snoop dog original song on the soundtrack

  • X2KFootballG0dX

If you like NBA Exlax 11 over 2K11…..You are RETARDED.

    Bottom line

  • daley is a tool

LOOOL… If I can recall, I remember daley blasting 2K fans for the videos of the foreigners playing 2K11. In his own words he said the skill level of the person playing should NOT influence the “quality” of the video/game. And this is EXACTLY what the EA Mod is stating which daley is defending. LOL.

How about you stick to your theories and stop being such a coward. Plus, the Boozer dunk isnt the only f’ed up thing in those videos. The fact that Derrick Rose dunked on 3 people from outside the paint with NO contact is another thing I saw that no one mentioned. You keep playing Elite while real ball players play 2K11. You aren’t convincing anyone to switch so go back to your hole.
