NBA 2K11 My Player Adds Endorsements

Continuing with the My Player mode related announcements for NBA 2K11 this week is the addition of endorsements. So far this week 2K Sports has revealed press conferences and signature shoes and now comes the endorsements. “Become a star in My Player mode and you’ll get sponsorships from iconic brands. What sponsor would you most like to have? Jordan Brand? Gatorade? Sprite? 2K Sports???”

As I alluded to yesterday I think this particular aspect of off-the-court development being brought in can potentially take the mode to the next level. Again though it has to be engaging and dynamic. Other games have had career modes that have attempted these things unsuccessfully. What do you think about the addition of endorsements to My Player?

    Wow. Another great addition. Again, I hate basketball with a passion, but the ability to create a player, get ad deals, your own shoe, and conduct a press conference is exciting. I’d rep a 2K ad deal just because they’re coming strong with these dynamic features.

    Wow…2k is stepping their game up completely…Now if they fix the ingame glitches that happen on my player mode…like constant substitutions when your blowing the computer out, or lack of movement after you get a jumper blocked. This mode will damn near be perfect wow..

    Ive def been sold on NBA2k11 now…frm the Jordan modes to the my player aspects being made better…its a wrap….

    I don’t know if this feature will be implemented well or not, but one thing is clear, 2k is going for the jugular. While EA is retooling their entire franchise with nary a word to the public, 2k is bringing new feature after new feature seemingly every day. Can you imagine what things would be like if we had 2k going against EA in football still? My mind spins to think about it.

    Why do you people continue to instigate this guy? You guys are soooo fed up with the kid, yet the majority of posters here continue to incite him…..Here’s an idea if you want him to go away….Stop replying to his messages and stop instigating his irritating replies.

    Regarding this announcement, this sounds good. Hopefully it’s implemented properly. I’m looking forward to all the various modes we have to choose from now. Thanks for the info pasta.

    don’t play the my player mode,so these additions don’t mean much to me but it does show that they are really putting the effort into this game,makes me think if their throwing the kitchen sink into their effort,this game may turn out to be their best one yet if their putting the same effort into the gameplay.

    It seems like 2K is putting more effort into their play alone mode ie. My Player than EA has done with both their football versions Superstar and RTG. I am hoping this mode does well and isn’t something that is here just to be here with all the pretty bells and whistles. The one from last year was iffy because it was hard to get points for your respective player.

    i love nba 2k but the screens i saw of nba elite got me lost for words now the videos that were released sucked made it look back but if they can show me some good footage of gameplay cause they really might be still working on the game i might be spending 120 $ plus tax this year on oct.5 and i am a 2k fanboy but uhh daley u do need to man up and say 2k is probally gonna end up being the best bball game this year there is just too much that 2k has in the game and thats without jordan this mode is completely away from jordan except for the endorsements
