NBA 2K11 My Player Mode Detailed

Look at you 2K fanboys and LIVE fanboys. From the looks of the videos right now, theres no denying that 2K11 is FAR AHEAD of Elite. Everything looks nice, everything SOUNDS nice. Doris Burke is strangely in 2K11 and note Elite, even though they have ESPN. Her courtside reports give the presentation that extra edge, but even without her 2K11 has better commentary. Everything we know right now is exactly this: 2K11 is Jordan himself, Elite is Jordan brand. 2K is too far ahead.

But you 2K fans and Live fans need to chill (I am neither, my last NBA game was on SNES). These are games, not videos. No doubt, what we SEE right now 2K is way better. But it still comes down to the game, to the final product in your hands. It is too early to say anything conclusive, 2K fanboys. Hold off on your urges to nail EA’s coffin shut; if you are so cock sure about 2K11, you’ll get your chance to do that anyway when the demo comes, or when the game comes out.

I’m going to play it smart and just wait for reviews.

i was always an EA gamer until ive actually looked at what 2k has to offer and this year will be my first year with 2k and im really excited for the player mode that EA never seems to create wow i cant wait for oct 5 i’ll be first in line

I’d have to say 2k11 is gon be way better because they stepped up and got Michael “the great” Jordan on the game i mean having him ALONE makes the game great then to find out that on the My Player Mode you can demand trades etc. and plus you have press conferences thats kool…its jus like ur actually in the NBA life and the graphics always been better for 2k for a while i seen NBA Elite graphics and it isnt all that GREAT! and EA games be having to MANY glitches all the time so at the end of the day 2k sports make better basketball games then EA sports

all this is crap.I played both game demos and I’ve been playing 2k since it came out. While 2k’s presentation this year is “the best ever” the actual gameplay and on court animations are still only 2nd best. 2k is all bandwagon. It’s more basic gameplay which makes it more mainstream hence more general fans. LIVE has a cult following. The controls in the demo fell like “the best ever” for actual gameplay. ELITE utilizes the joysticks way better. I’ll play 2k and Jordan until ELiTE hits then start my serious franchise…

Not sure if anyone finished a whole season of my player yet…But I did, and for some strange reason, I can NOT advance into my second season…at the home screen it says play next game, you select that, nothing happens, then I look in the calender, and look at the upcoming schedule, there is NOTHING on the calender…My player can’t be just one season because of the milestones..IE: Win 5 mvp awards etc..etc…So for this to be the deepest mode of the game? Uh did I really waste 60 bucks just for some guy named Jordan on the cover…cause that’s what it sure as hell feels like

They should give a contracts after the draft combine. its so unrealistic to be playing for free and it gets boring
